    Now I've learned, once again, that it will be even more financially impossible to correct my skull/face/and breathing the correct way.

    Paul Coceancig is an amazing doctor. He gave me advice 2 years ago on helping my lower wisdom teeth straighthen with orthodontic elastic bands and it worked. Now I have fully erupted lower wisdoms.

      @phillipplein6932 Год назад +1

      How ??

    • @Icarus-l8z
      @Icarus-l8z Год назад +2

      @@phillipplein6932he told me to buy orthodontic bands of varying thicknesses and to then try to slot the band that fit just a little less than comfortably into the space between the 2nd molar and partially erupting wisdom teeth, so the band loop would be sticking up vertically, with one side between the teeth and the other sort of sticking up above.
      The bands are stretched when slotting them in like floss and when relaxed expand and put a slight lateral force on the wisdom teeth making them want to straighthen when they are coming in crooked.
      For me they were coming in around 20° off of being straight and within a few weeks of doing this and chewing stronger gum over the erupting wisdoms, the wisdom teeth had straightened and we're also moving upwards and pushing the gum out of the way. It was hard to slot the band in at first but as the wisdom teeth erupted it got easier and easier. I had them in 24/7 and only replaced them after a few days or if they broke from chewing.

      @@user-bn2nv5mx2g he told me over a zoom call and from what I gathered it's not a standard technique but one he intuitively recommend for somone like me who had partial erupted lower wisdom teeth that were coming in off axis by 20 degrees. He was the only professional who was adamant my wisdoms could be saved and he was 100% right. God bless him

    The worst thing this guy has going for him is saying things like 100% of the time a 100% cure…serious doctors don’t talk like that. I find that the deeper the expert the more they talk in terms of nuance and probabilities. I’m sure this guy is legit if Ron is talking to but his style makes him sound more like the marketers he decries than a deep expert. Cool beard tho!

    Screaming for another episode with Dr. C. He totally left the mind wandering around the topic of jaw development and the questionable “soft foods” myth. Here are some wild guesses:
    (1) Back in the day, we were physically active from head to toe, as part of fulfilling chores without doorstep delivery and machines. If the biomechanics of the jaw affect that of the NHKF (neck, hips, knees, feet etc.), then the vice versa should also be true, thereby causing poor jaw development due to under activation of NHKF muscles/joints and their associated electrical signals to the jaw for infrastructural growth.
    (2) Another reason I can think of is the constant exposure of radio waves from devices that influence growth factors linked to 3D skeletal growth. The mother also holds the phone against her head while the baby is developing - anything there worth investigating?
    Really hope he keeps his promise by appearing in the next podcast and addressing all the gaps from the current session.

      Household allergies leading to nasal obstruction, which leads to poor oral posture, which leads to poor jaw development.
      Also, sippy cups/lack of breastfeeding, which leads to infants not developing complete oral function & mechanics, which leads to poor oral habits/posture, which leads to poor jaw development

    • @Icarus-l8z
      @Icarus-l8z Год назад +5

      He talking about the soft tissue part of the nose which in many places sort of remains stunted. Check out his surgery plan videos and you'll see CT scans of people's airways in their nose and lots of people have small "air tubes" from never nose breathing during childhood. MSE if done properly should expan as far back as possible as that will expand the two outlets that exist at the very back of nasal airway but most of the time that area receives poor expansion due to resistance and how far back it is. And even then it still doesn't fix the problem of underdeveloped sinuses and other soft tissue function inside the nose.
      It's possible that nasal breathing for years may cause them to grow butnim not sure on that. In any case MSE expansion is definitely helping you if it put far back in your mouth around the 2nd to 1st molar. Ideally as far back as possible. Front expansion just back your nasal base and this nostrils bigger which Paul acknowledges as being of some benefit.
      If you need a huge amount of expansion then MSE is still needed because Paul can only expand your arch so much, maybe 5mm but less than 10mm due to risk of non bone union if gap is to big. Bone grafts could help with that though.

    While he has some very good points about how a patient is not seen in a holistic way, with many different specialists for different "diseases" and that patients have one disease (a small jaw) and not ten, there are other statements that are quite controversial.
    He wanted you to read his book, without knowing anything of you Ron? Saying MSE doesn't work, without knowing that it worked on the person in front of him. Saying that skeletal expansion doesn't increase airways when the literature and empiric proves state the opposite. Big ego in my opinion.

    • @awanderer9966
      @awanderer9966 7 месяцев назад +1

      after watching the full video, I think he might be right, what really narrows the airways from how I understand it is, that the recessed maxilla pushes against the airways. No matter how much you expand the maxilla, it still pushes against the airway and is the main reason why people can't get enough air. Keep in mind, Ron did the MSE treatment and he still chockes during his sleep.

    • @MrApplewine
      @MrApplewine 11 месяцев назад

      The other thing is that IMDO is just one surgery. How many procedures do you need to fix everything and also, can you even do that. My arch is narrow and high, my nose is off center from scrunched up nasal septum. Also, I'm really disappointed that he couldn't just say why he thought why our jaws didn't grow. I agree the soft food thing always seemed a bit stupid. But, I thought vitamin A,D,K deficiency and also use of bottles to feed babies could explain it. Though, I may seen some people with very wide 12 tooth smiles and their mothers used bottles I think. I'm not sure what if any orthodontics they got. He needs to ask the jaw growth question. I can't wait for that!
