Авто/Мото
Yesterday was me and the mrs 17 years anniversary and we was both working. Tonight however we shared a bottle of something cheap but effective and watched two very clever chaps with plans that were cunning yet effective rescue a loverly old french car. The mrs was impressed with your dedication to the safety's for Mrs D too. Honestly 😂 how many 17 year wedding anniversaries are spent watching a 305 get roadworthy but not restored..i dont think many.
I think your phrase "its not perfect but..." is a great guide to our marriage too 😂😂😂😅
Thanks guys
Happy anniversary guys 👍
@@6DDIESELSDorset thank you fella
These are far better repairs than any done in the 80’s and 90’s. I was expecting some road signs cut up and held in place with silicone, rivets and prayers 😜
Cheers from the USA, I've got a 1987 w126 mercedes with an om603 (I dont think this combo was available in Europe, at least to start with) wish i had a mechanic like you gents around me, finding people to help maintain my Merc has been an absolute chore.
Great video as always. We had a version of those hetra lifts in our garage. They were brilliant, we had enough of them that enabled us to could pick up a tractor unit and trailer together, put the lot on high lift axle stands, take them away to the other side of the garage and lift something else, as you basically said less ramps needed. Fantastic invention.
Well its quite a task- that sure is a shed of a car. I think you should sweep up the rust and put it in a matchbox and take that instead. Nah! give the old gal one last road trip! - Al, Fudge, Miss Puggly 😃😃😍😍😎😎
the best car repairing show on this platform hands down , comedy is priceless 😂👏⭐️
The one when they were talking about Charles was a classic 😂🤣
Handy that it's too old to require an MOT , nice job Al
Al to me just seeing old car back on the road is exciting not many people left like you guys doing this work keep it up
Cheers fella and will do 👍
Your idea of "making it functional" is better than most people's idea of a restoration!
Great video , Al, Fudgy , it’s like re visiting my past , back in the late 70’s I was doing welding in my service station workshop all the time . I bought a Boramig (new) for £750 ! Yes they were dear when the first came out , and it paid for itself in a month if I remember correctly . Of course I’m a lot older than you two , in my day it wasn’t law to weld all the way round a plate just an inch here and there 😂 I couldn’t do it now my knees are gone ! . Keep up the good work 👍🏻
Cheers fella 👍
Marvellous stuff!
Hi ya al and fudgey. The line, good little peugeot cracked me up.love the videos, always look forward to them, other car stuff just seems abit generic, and i am not even a mechanic etc,but love watching you, time just floats away, cheers again from rainy yorkshire 😊
Good Morning Al and Fudgy. Another Lovely Project you have Al and Fudgy. The Peugeot 305. Body work does not look to bad, little bit of Welding, Fabrication, some tidying up of the spots of rust. You did very Well Al with the repairing and plating up of the floorpan, very Impressive Sir. Lovely to see the Brakes and pipes being Restored and made Safe. I am really looking forward to see the next video of this Lovely Rare Beauty. REmoving those Old vehicle Lifts and Installing the new one, should be really Good and Help the runnings of 6D Diesels Al. Your video's are always a real Joy and nice to see some real TLC and getting these Amasing vehicles back on the road. Very Well to You Al and Fudgy. This channel is just getting more and more Better and the Camera work with the Excellent and very Professional Time Lapsing is very, very Good. Thank you very much for Sharing your Professional video Al and Fudgy. Jonathan.
Cheers fella 👍
@@6DDIESELSDorset You are always Welcome Al and Fudgy. Well Done to You both. 6D Diesels absolutely the Best Quality and Unique Restorations.
Your 'MOT standard' welding is better than some 'restorations' I've seen!
Sunday morning, cup of coffee and some fettling, perfect
Great work. You improved the NCAP rating from minus 5 to about minus 1. :-)
You’re definitely going to have to film Mrs Diesel’s no doubt thrilled reaction to her first seat in her new chariot 🤣 - another entertaining Sunday video lol, cheers fellas 👍🏻
Don’t worry I will 👍😂
Great work 👍
Great vid guys love it
I typed 'sucky Hetty' into Google and now I have to go to church 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Ha ha !!! I’m not saying a word 😂😂
Congratulations on 20k well deserved 👍
A man even though he swears its a cheap job cannot do a bad job. Good old Pug.
Hi guys! I’m a big follower of your page and have now got myself booked in for festival of the unexceptionable on July 27th, would love to come and say hello to you guys! I’m going to bring my Old Ford Cortina! I’ve learnt a lot from your page on techniques on doing things! So if you guys have someone called Darren turn up and say hello, I’m not a weirdo! 🤣🤣🤣
Cool fella it’ll be nice to meet you 👍
Fudgy " its rotten to the core Al" .
Al "No no No its surface rust inside the doors" 😂
Good job no the car keep it up Al and fudgy
Awesome v log does mrs d know the chariot shes riding to attend the festival 🤣🤣
Hi Al. I had the van version of that but was interested in that that one has 3 studs and mine was 4 stud. It appears they changed 82ish. Mine was an 85 from memory. It was so rough my missus dubbed it "The Minger".
it is nice to watch a video that i can relate to real life mechanic at work not some collage newbie who if computer does not tell them how to fix it they are clue less
Your patching up the Pug is better than some ‘restorations’ I have seen. Nothing wrong with keeping an old banger safe on the road this way, you are doing a proper job.
Great stuff lads 😂 congrats on 20k subs 🎉
That’s screaming out for an old style windscreen sun strip Pat over the drivers side and Tina over the passenger side. 😂
Congratulations on 20k subscribers🎉 Al and fudge 👍
It's getting there, I bought many years ago a farmers cast off, he had a Mini van left in the field & got it back on the road, bit of welding & an engine & gox change & ran it for a few years & it didn't owe me a penny, sold it but now wished i'd have kept it now the prices have gone sky high
Fantastic agricultural style car restoration. A man after my own heart!😂 There is nothing wrong with hitting the 'lowest price ' button on fleabay! 💰 Can't believe how easy those drums came off after all those years 😲
No me either!! Even the drum holding bolts came undone !… that never happens 👍
Guys amazing what a treat on fathers day I've had amazing day with family now sat with a drink watching you guys .
It's amazing with some of the french stuff how in working order it is after so many years of abandonment .
I know cosmetically they are challenged and would not win a beauty contest on Tin worm but still you have to be amazed.
One more thing your intro music what is it called . My misses when she gets it in her head can't stop humming it so thought as a treat for the duchess I would try it out as my ring tone .
It would make her day .
All the best Mark and Emily at Rooster Recovery
Hope Mrs d makes an appearance
To be fair most people would of scraped it years ago but the welding is better then I've seen pass a mot over the years .I've seen some shocking welding done on vehicles I've worked on over the last 25 years and you have only did it for a car show but you are the best vehicle repair on utube nothing but honesty and both of you are very experience in wat you do but always a good laugh as well 👍
Peugeot coming along nicely. Looking forward to the workshop changes .
Your definitely spoiling mrs 6d taking her in the old Peugeot hope she appreciates it 😂
Ah well we do make her go out in my top quality 404 pick up every now and then! You can tell she really appreciates it…. 😂😂😂
Brilliant video Al, a real testament to yours and Fudges skills, slowly becoming a lost art nowadays.
Yes sadly we seem to chuck everything away these days rather than fix what we’ve got
@@6DDIESELSDorset Ain't that the truth, speaking of which can I pop over end of next week for a couple of bits for my sprinter. I took on a dry stone wall in Coniston last week and lost. Ive dropped you an email cheers mate.
Yes not a worry 👍
It’s the Pidgin Poogeout ,marvellous 👏👏👍😂
oh wow my grandad had one same colour was on a f reg automatic
Looked forward to this next Peugeot vid of fixing. Great stuff. Congratulations on reaching 20k. The whole planet should tune in for some hazzaring, sniffery, brucie-ing, treasuring, fixing anything with some clever detective work, tea and the rustle of the roll up packets. Huzzah!
The puggy definitely needs a magic tree 🌳
That pug would work extremely well as a colander
There's nothing wrong with your nothing wrong with your restoration what you're doing to the Peugeot is absolutely perfect and you're making a Rubik's good job ignore what other people say in the comments it is perfect in everywhere shape or form I think you are a bullet mechanic on what you are what you say is absolutely correcting above board I say exactly the same myself I watch your channel for a good few months now and I enjoy watching your content of what you put on your mechanic can set your mechanics your mechanicans skills are brilliant and I've learned a lot of techniques off here watching your watching your contents I have just started my own RUclips channel up classical bikes thank thank you very much Al for your content your sincerely Mr lawrenceon
I like your style on the economics of the budget restoring. Quite right too and nothing whatsoever wrong with what you have done by using a lifetime experience to know what will be adequate without spending a fortune on a lost cause. Good enough is good enough.!
It's basically a (much) more solid version of the old days' "Just another MOT please!" repairs and that's fair enough.
The car is too far gone economically but it's what you call structurally and road worthy sound but still looking like a turd
What could be better on a Sunday watching my favourite duo on RUclips another great video as always al and fudgy 👍
This is another car that Al is starting to care about 😂 as soon as he says he did a better job than he needed to you know he cares
Mrs H I think driving the Kangooli would be the best vehicle to go in, you could be back up vehicle.
Al it might get there, but you will still need to drive back, I think that's could be the down fall of this cunning plan.😅
Thanks love the old school way great video All and Fudge keep them coming always look for knew stuff .
All you always make it look so easy
Exciting times at 6D Diesels, keep the videos coming, Al, looking forward to the new rampage!
Fair play al love to see a old car been saved keep up the grate videos keep up the good work 👌
Can't beat a drop test.
Al, at least your taking the time and effort to get her back on the road in the most economical way which makes the most sense.
Another enjoyable video pal.
As the car is now 43 years old it is ULEZ exempt 😂
Does'nt matter if it's road legal as you have a lot of 'private roads ' in your area. 😁 A man makes a better job than Peugot did.👍
Super Sunday a nice bit of 6d great work Al 👍
Great video as always Al!! Will be interesting to see Mrs 6D’s reaction to the Pug 305.
This week's episode of 6Ddiesels is brought to you by Bodget & Scarper body work-ish . This is the sort of bodywork I remember being fine work in the 1980s , infact I think this is top quality compared to some repairs I have witnessed 😆 🤣 😂
Great vid guys, do love a bit of huzar.
We had a 505 estate beautiful cars these are. We took it over to Kerry Ireland. When I lived in Birmingham.
Cheers chaps Sunday completh once again
ALVIN FUDGE 2 guys I LOVE to watch bestest guys out Very Manly hugs to you both
Great video, you do remind me of a grown up version of a lad I went to school with Al.
Well if it was round wareham lol
Another fantastic video Al 😊
The Bullit proof bomb its the Anthill mob Clyde and Ring a ding ,Step on it Clyde
Back in the 80s you would get a mot on this if you went to the right garage .who knows you might not have to take the car with you.😜👍
You guys are the best at what you do! Great video 😁 will we get to see Mrs Diesel in the video of the trip? 🤣🤣
Great video again guy’s 🇮🇪☘️🍀🍀🍀🍀🇮🇪🇮🇪
Great video Al and Fudge keep it up guys
Being fully restored isn't everything. The fact its here and still and working it whats important
gr8 vid as always thank you
I’ve been looking forward to this lads.
Cracking work Al and Fudge as always 👍
Morning lads.
reminds me of floor to inner sill common fsail on a metro
Another great vid Al
They look bloody good mobile ramps.
Another ebay purchase 😊
Loving the attention to only doing what is absolutely necessary to make it road worthy! No brainer on the starter motor Al, £35 = no time wasted on the existing one. Mr Fudge not entirely sold on your work programme for the 305?
No he thinks I e lost the plot…. Mind you he has spent a year repairing a rusty capri….. I rest my case 😂😂😂👍
Morning puggies
congrats on 20k likes!
Had me wondering for a moment why you only took three nuts out per wheel, then I noticed that much like a 2CV, they use 3-stud wheels, all you need really... :P
Good old fashioned brake job Al and everything torqued to spec, sort of??
you pair should be on the stage lol are you far from cantbury
Don't forget the duck tape it's not a proper job without it wood screws if you must 😂
Living proof that if you spend enough time and effort into 'restoring' a banger you might be able to convince an MOT inspector at 500yds. Still, if Al intends to put his precious wife on the passenger seat I'm certain it will be safe if (definitely) not pretty.
Yep it will have to be safe we aren’t hitting a public road otherwise 👍
Looking forward to seeing it at fotu
That's got to be rotten raw underneath got to be get it on field for rally or bit banger racing ha
I want to work in ur garage 😇 so cozy
1981 rubber, i would not trust that, lol.
Fudgie's Capri is absent.......
Resurrection!! Zut alor
I didn’t realise that Peugeot had just three wheel studs like 2CV’s … #french
Yep she’s an early one 👍
That's rust spot, on your o/s rear door, looks like a chicken 🐔 silhouette😂
HOW ELSE NOTICED THE TAIL LIGHTS HAVE DIFFERENT COLOURED INDERCATORS
wish i was going so i could see you & yours cars, will you do any local shows this year ?
Yes hopefully if we get time 👍
Dear Al , how about an update for your eco warrior mission , have those A-holes done anything about the issues next to your parents home ? , hope they have
Nothing much has changed sadly, and I would but my dad get very stressed about it. I’ll get it sorted just have to pick my time 👍
Will it's carpets go down and full detailed vallet at end?
It’s get steam cleaned and dried out lol 👍
is that a brake roller tester you have there in the floor big chap?
It’s some ancient old thing for when this place was an mot station years ago 👍
