This is so much better than the academy awards, in which everything has awkward pauses. Unlike the Tony. Well Neil Patrick Harris did a good job hosting that's why its a hit.

Ughhh I love Josh Young's portrayal of Judas so much. I was lucky to have seen the cast in Stratford and boy, was it ever spectacular. If anyone gets the chance to see the show, do it. :)
I like such ceremonies there movies, musicals etc. are honored. I sometimes wish award shows here in Germany were much more exciting like this (no immitations of this US standard, but inspired but its quality). Nevertheless I just watched this one because of NPH, he's the king!
Wonderful!! Little dissapointed about the Evita song... I'm Argentinian and I prefer watching Elena Roger singing more than Ricky Martin (besides, the musical is called "Evita", not "Che"). They're amazing artists but Tony's producers would have thought in Elena... :)
Interesting to note that for other award shows the nominees and actors get to sit back and relax (with the exception of maybe presenting an award) yet for the Tony's the nominees work all night because they perform their best bits for the world to see. Just an interesting note.
I hate how the cut some speeches out. Like, i understand they need yo make room and they arnt the main awards (even though i love them) But man...it must suck finding out you won, your family probably watching, and seeing your speech cut.
An awful lot was cut out of this video. The Leap of Faith performance, the acceptance of Best Musical, the acceptance of Audra McDonald & Steve Kazee's Leading Actor & Actress awards, Hugh Jackman's acceptance speech too.
It’s really unfortunate that he was sick during the press performances, so a majority of the voters didn’t see him :( It was quite lucky for him to even get a nomination at all because of that. I wonder how things would’ve gone under different circumstances.
Another great year for Tony Awards. Neil kills it as host. My boys at Newsies and Peter + The StarCatcher!! I have to give props to Audra MacDonald. Goodness - she is like the Whitney Houston of broadway theater with that impeccable voice!!
Is the remainder of the show on RUclips? I can't find it, & this was the 1st one I've missed in decades, due to a family crisis at the time. The 2nd guy from Clyburne Park was brilliant! And NPH, is INSPIRING & (irreverently but respectfully) hillarious, as always! THANK. YOU. SO. MUCH.!
