I enjoy your video and love the presentation and quality of it. The PS3 is my favorite console of all time. I just brought my system last year in November on ebay it was for 91 dollars it was a superslim 500 gb white with one controller and all the cords with 25 games 22 digital and 3 discs. I enjoy my PS3 and play it everyday so many classic game series like sly cooper, God of war, uncharted, jak and Daxter etc. You can't beat free online and features the console has to offer Bluetooth, Blu-ray, HDMI, CD, DVD, you can use your ps3 as a computer with the web browser and you got printer options, etc.
Ohhh absolutely, I don't like the 12GB model (although you can swap the hard drive but most people won't do it) but the 500GB one is great. Most PS3 games need some data to be transfared from disc to the hard drive so that the game can function. So space can be a concern on the PS3 even with physical media. The PS3 is also a great multi media system, I have many music discs from many collector's editions and the PS3 is actually a great way to play them on a modern TV. Then you also have a good DVD and Bluray player and all the other capabilities... It's amazing, although I wouldn't use a PS3 for web surfing, smartphones and PC's or even modern consoles do that job better but the option still exists what is great!
Ohhhh I totally belive you because Australian dollar is worth slightly less + taxes. I think in Europe the PS3 was around 700-800 euro at launch ridiculous (remember at that time the euro was more worth than a American dollar, how time has changed...) and was probably around 1000 Canadian dollars in Canada.
@@Official_RetroMania We're lucky to have pretty damn good health care down here. I'm pretty dumb when it comes to maths and finances, so I wouldn't be able to answer your question on taxes, sorry!
The PS3 is definitely memorable to me because I think it's the only generation where Sony actually had to compete. Every other generation, they've pretty much dominated the console space.
Well Sony also made some bad decisions that generation what they needed to fix down the line. If they didn't go with the CELL architecture maybe that whole generation would have played out differently. I think right now the PS3 is better than it was at release date. You can find PS3's dirt cheap, they run CD, DVD and bluray, 1080p output it's still pretty decent and modern for today's standards, the system has some cheap used games and good selection... It really shows how it suck to be a early adopter 😂
such a bold childhish statement to say.. since when PS3 had to compete? In the US sure.. but the rest of the world Sony rules.. nobody buy Xbox 360 outside of US back in the day, it was Microsoft who always seems to strugle with Xbox outside of US
@@DVDfeverGames Ohhhh you mean Metal Jesus? I have never heard someone using the short MJR so I was totally confused, I always called him by his full name. I didn't heard about that controversy, he always seems like a nice guy in his videos. Obviously if it's true that he is false copyright striking channel, I'm obviously against that, we don't need another QuantumTV lol.

Nice video bro! I remember the PS3 was $1000 when it first launched in Australia, I swear it was that price. Those were some dark times for gamers...

@@Official_RetroMania Highway robbery across the board, the bastards 🤣
@@uppernimbus Well we in Europe pay more taxes, don't know about Australia. At least our health insurance is much better compared to North America.

MJR ain't gonna love you... 😆
Who is MJR?
@@Official_RetroMania You'd only just commented on his video. I've made another one about him today. He throws false copyright strikes at people.
