I really enjoy this type of showcase, with many variants in team comps. Not to say regular guides are boring, but they sometimes are missing the fun factor. Regardless, great video as always IWTL.
Shenhe and chongyun make cryo the most fun element , you can make any sword user a cryo dps and rock with it and do some insane numbers
@@thisperson8315 unless shenhe is c6, this comp is not that smooth. Nonetheless, i recommend u try mono cryo with shenhe. It's also super fun.
Both of these characters sound really good on paper for Eula support but it's so sad neither are used

To be fair most people think they can figure out what's fun without being spoonfed, and a lot of metagamers (and their omega orbiters) forget that not everybody has every character C6 level 90 triple crowned with flawless artifacts, which for example I have seen people say makes Shenhe skippable because Ayaka and Ganyu are already strong enough without her.

I really hope Mihoyo keeps making characters like this. Characters that are much more niche but offer unique, and totally viable team comps that wouldn't have been an option before. Makes the game more interesting and keeps things fresh more than just Bennet + Kazuha + X.

Agree, now every team comp has the same characters, at least now that we are getting some niche characters, bennet isn't used in both teams since one team can be any dps and the other one electro dps so you can bring sara, bringing variety to the teamcomps you can do. Yunjin also makes pure phys fischl a viable dps. Doing hybrid with c6 still better, but it's now an option

None of the recent characters are usable anywhere outside of their niche, plus they don't even really outperform old general supports in their own niche.
Amount of resources you need to build them isn't justified by their performance. Im pretty much forced to use old supports cuz they are more universal and have a better powerlevel.
All these "niche supports" are literally just trash.
I like the fact these two character are not power creeping any other ones. They only add another way to play the game, allowing builds like zhongli dps or chongyun dps. They are fun and that's all!

My theory is that we are going to get more characters like this - niche characters that are really powerful with a certain element or certain form of non-meta attack. That way Mihoyo can make powerful characters without replacing old characters or introducing powercreep. Shenhe made me dust off my old Chongyun and Kaeya again, who I stopped using a long time ago. Yunjin made me take out Fischl's physical-damage bow that I can't remember the name of and try machine-gun Fischl again. Maybe we'll get similar characters for Hydro and Pyro later.

I hope they come in the form of 4*s so its not just gatekept by a paywall of expensive amount of wishes. And I really hope we could get a transformative reaction buffer. Say, one that specializes in buffing electro charged. Hmmm, like buffing EM of entire team, oh and healing, and then a hint of increased transformative reaction multiplier, or just make that support always cause electro charged given element being electro/hydro, and just build full EM and voila, EM stat stick of electroncharged.
@@flamezforthegamez1056 c6 Diona gives extra 200 Elemental Mastery + healing. Yunjin is a 4* and she brings buffs similar to Shenhe's. Unfortunately I think mhy is trying to push ahead mono-elemental teams so I don't think we will see characters that bring buffs to reactions, I'm pretty sure we will see variations of Shenhe with pyro.
I feel like a fishl (c6) ,yoimiya, yunjin (c6) combo would be absurd with the amount of atk speed (jean/diona/zhongli as supports). I have not seen anoyone do this yet, so I would like to see you try it out.
jean c2 would be op support, or zhongli if u want uninterrupted attacks.

@@Benji_The_Ghoul i don't think so. Noelle is a claymore user which means slow heavy dmg attacks. Yun Jin is pretty useless with with that kind of gameplay; she heavily buffs fast light dmg attacks. This is the reason why iwtl showcased zhongli dps, yoimiya or stuff like that

With Shenhe around that will be slaughter , not comparison.
There's also another really basic combo. U basically add Shenhe to a freeze comp, however u also need Kokomi. As with the ocean hued clam she'll be able to utilize the phys res shred. All of this paired with venti and Ganyu / Ayaka I think makes a good and very expensive freeze comp
Yeah... the problem is, ayaka/ganyu consumes those icy quill way too fast if you're using non C6 shenhe.
@@enesjei that's the point. You want to use the quills as fast as possible, then use her E again and repeat.
Freeze comps hit for pebbles though which is why it’s not included
@@enesjei it's not really a problem because your main goal is to immediately use her quill stacks on one character and then switch to another who also has the stacks.
@@yuurai I know exactly what your talking about. I've seen some not so well known creators doing this quill rush burst team and it's very effective. You don't even have to think about it and just spam everything as fast as possible. It's a very fun team.

That C6 Ayaka and Shenhe combo looks hilariously OP.
Though as someone who isn't a whale, a C0 Ayaka+Shenhe+Kokomi+Kazuha actually is a very powerful and easy team to use because of almost permanently frozen enemies and crazy nuke potential with Shenhe boosted, Kazuha/VV cryo shreded, Kokomi TTDS boosted Ayaka ULT.
This is my team as well. Works really good so far. Especially if you time your rotations so you can reapply Shenhe’s quills during Ayaka’s burst.
Can I replace Kokomi with Xingqiu and Kazuha with Sucrose?
@@chipperdrewski That's right, you can reapply the quills for the last hits of Ayaka's burst as well. The combo absolutely shreds.
Admittedly it is four 5 star characters, but if you have all four of them, it's very fun and easy way to tear through abyss without having to worry about the whole corrosion mechanic.

That Xiao melee build at the end was amazing, Would LOVE to see a whole video dedicated just for that, Exploring the different options for that (if there are multiple ways), And hopefully there will be no need for a c6 5 star character and a R5 weapon because that would never be me xD

And I already saw someone already trying floor 12 abyss with a similar style of team just not cryo and almost got full stars (on mobile)!

Without Shenre C6 you only have 5 or 7 attacks boosted, C6 removes the max attacks that will be boosted by her E

C6 Ayaka + C6 Shenhe looks terrifying. I doubt there will be any content MiHoYo throws at us that will survive that. But my personal favorite was Crescent Pike Zhongli + Yun Jin.
I like the fact that these characters offer options rather than being a must use
what genius about mihoyo with Shenhe is that they're not just improving cryo team, they actually enabler many creative combination, it really healthy for the meta, AND I will wait for what will they do for Xiao in the future update, the booi really need some love
I have c6 shenhe , i can confirm that basically every char that can get infused with chong is now really good .
Im exciting to see what will happen with future sword, polearm and claymore .
Actually, for example, diluc and thoma ( that he's not even a dps )are so strong into reverse melt comp .
@@MaelSun I have c6 shenhe also and can confirm this. It's made me play with characters that would never see the light of day on my teams, but now i can make anyone work thanks to her.
You can still build your own variations, just ignore the meta which is only meant for the Abyss...which is another thing you can skip alltogether. I am currently farming friendships with water boy and Albedo, i have placed them with Zhongli and Raiden ( scruffy artifacts, talents 5-7-7). Water boy is only lev 80 with unfinished artifacts, Albedo is only at talent 5-6-6, and yet this odd team is turning out to be the fastest in clearing domains, elite mobs ( they're still lev 93) and boi i barely see what happens in the leylines. By the time i click on them, half way the rotation there's nothing left to kill. Characters can have different synergies depending how you build them, go have fun and screw the meta. :D

@@RejectedInch That's the point, meta discussion and comparing characters are meant for Abyss, that's why people are asking if the character is worth it, does it improve their damage?
If someone has issues beating the daily quests or the artifact domains, they should consider playing other games like Candy Crush or something.
I know this sounds rude, but it's obvious you can run whatever you want during exploration and you'll still destroy everything, but "screw the meta" just doesn't apply to people that care about beating the hardest content in the game, because, sadly, anything else is just for 5 year olds and boring, until some harder content is introduced
Both characters can take up valuable spot for current teams if users doesn't know how to properly utilize them

yeah but who care you make it sound like your going to be using the same team throughout the entirely of the game. you know many "current teams" change throughout the course of the game. honestly if you can afford to c6 shenhe you probably dont have a main team because you have soo many good characters it would be a waste to solely use the same characters.
As an f2p I consider my self lucky that I got ayaka and mistsplitter. She is like a cryo queen now.
Unrelated but speaking of Ayaka, I have theory that she made Shenhe's icy quil quota works the way it is. I always wish her quota works like Yun Jin (20 quota for everyone instead 5/7 for each unit) until I put her with Ayaka. Ayaka's burst will be more busted than ever if it works that way. If my conspiracy theory is true, then dammit Ayaka.

@@Tai-Lung Its actually better that the damage is frontloaded imo. And it just makes shenhe c1 even better for that pairing.
I really like how Shenhe and Yunjin opens up some fun normal attack comps. If you already have a developed roster, you will have a lot more fun.
Personally I am trying a Shenhe main dps build with Shenhe, Chongyun, Jean and Bennet.
Since Jean's burst can keep swirling the pryo on yourself applied by Bennet's burst, you can apply pyro very frequently, thus your infused cryo attack from Chongyun's field can melt.
However, the down side is also obvious, you are basically putting down 3 circles and it limits your mobility in a fight. It's fun tho.
Also, Yunjin can be used in a normal attack Xiao build, plus an off field element applier like Fischl or Xingqiu, Xiao can use 4pc VV and Yunjin can help with the additional damage. Not saying it's meta or anything but it's quite fun if you are tired of jumping up and down all the time.

Does this Benett + Jean swirl combo apply Pyro faster than Xiangling?
@@waszner I think it's basically the same rate, but Xiangling has bigger AOE. There was a time people use Benett+Jean combo to quickly break through abyss lector shield in the abyss. I believe it's call the sunfire combo. You can check it out.
@@davistsang4192 If you're standing mostly still, I think sunfire is faster. The swirl ticks every second whereas xiangling's burst rotates a bit less than once per second. I'm not sure if she closes the gap or is able to get faster when moving to get her burst to hit more tho. I think the main difference is xiangling is portable, lasts longer with C4, and can do more damage. Tho I am curious about the AoE bc I haven't test that yet. Been wanted to try a double reverse melt team with sunfire and kaeya and rosaria once I get them more invested
You forgot about C6 Rosaria who decreases Phys Resistance by 20% at 10:00
Seeing ayaka one shot those small doggos, now I know how much developer loved her charged atk animation that they specifically boosted it via c6.
Enemy disappearing as she sheaths her weapon is just too climactic.
C6 Ayaka and C6 Shenhe are maybe the strongest duo on Genshin
Weird how C1 Fischl wasn't mentioned for Single target enemies. Considering the Coordinated Oz attack counts as Normal attack, with Rush and Junyin's build, a player proficient in AARR can melt stuff pretty fast with her IMO.

i've seen an interesting combo from youtube channel "Wallensteins ch" with Eula, Bennett, Xiangling and Shenhe that utilitizes both great cryo buff via melt and physical resistance shred from Shenhe's burst

@@shazaki1134 I'm curious what do you find strong about that comp? No electro for superconduct that would reduce Physical resistance by a huge 40%, instead of measly 15% from Shenhe. There is no good Cryo battery for Eula, Shenhe can't get her burst back alone, nevermind help energy hungry Eula get her burst back.
And on top of that, Eula barely does any Cryo damage, I would guess her Cryo damage is not even 5% of her total damage and she's the only Cryo character in the team, besides Shenhe, so Shenhe's Cryo buffs are wasted. Eula just doesn't fit at all in the team.
On top of that, the Melt aspect is really bad because Shenhe doesn't apply Cryo with her Burst that consistent. Now if you replace Eula with Chongyun, you might have a team, because Xiangling attacks really fast with Cryo normals from Chongyun and the hit from her Pyronado will always melt

interesting, fun and not optimal, Eula's physical damage isn't actually a priority in this comp, just sweet bonus, main source of damage are her good cryo multipliers and Shenhe's buffs
His dragonstrike Chongyun shenanigan with Shenhe clears abyss faster than my raiden national. And that blows my mind.

That's true, but if someone spends hundreds of dollars on a C6 support 5 star, they already have C6 other more broken characters that are already archons by themselves. It's the definition of win more without needing it.
C0 Shenhe would have been way more viable if she had at least 10-15 quota stacks or if her C1 was built in her kit directly

I love how Yun Jin finaly makes auto attacks do reasonable dmg. For example childe becomes so much better with her buff...
I think it makes quite a few viable builds for Childe with 4 pc Shin. Can run electro charge here too but no VV. Probably still viable though with Childe, Beidou, Fischl, Yunjin.
I love videos like this. I'm not the most meta player and I'm looking for teams that maybe aren't the strongest but are fun to play
in the future, when mihoyo adds another cryo bow character that focuses on NA much like yoimiya's kit (and not the clunky aloy), C6 yunjin and C6 shenhe as supports can make that character a monster

shenhe, ayaka, kazuha, kokomi is probably the best team for shenhe, and that freeze team is probably the most op freeze team

Thanks to current event, i got a chance to test Shenhe with my Ayaka. Ayaya+venti+Doina+Shenhe. That was awful.. I replaced Shenhe with my poor geared, lvl70 Rosaria and got much better score. Im so happy i suppressed my temptation and not pulled Shenhe at 1st day. Shamehe is not cool.
I really like using Yunjin with Kokomi since Kokomi attacks with her basic attacks a lot during her burst mode :))
For Ganyu, Shenhe buff is higher than Kazuha buff ☝️😌

C6 shenhe is definitely a worthy investment and definitely has futureproof. If you only have C0 right now, then you can just pull for another constellation everytime she will have a rerun.
Yes, C6 Shenhe really makes any current and future infused Cryo character broken. But sadly, because of the limited quota on hits and the Energy issues, Shenhe doesn't do much for Ayaka at C0. What I mean by that is that other characters will buff Ayaka more or act as a better battery.
However, Shenhe C0 is really good in any mono Cryo or 3 Cryo + 1 Anemo teams because then the limited stacks are not such a big issue because they are multiplied by the number of Cryo characters
This is what im planning to do until Tsaritsa's release. Im pretty much happy with my characters and what i learned about gacha characters is that im gonna bench them anyway.

I spent money to c6 my Fischl back in the day and to pull her BiS (polar star), but now I will play her using c1 and compound bow thanks to Yun Jin
Personally i use 3 cryo (Triple atk shenhe, sacrificial chongyun, Cryo dps Rosa) and one hydro ( xingqiu)
It's super fun to play, let me explain the *max dmg* rotation (this is not practical)
Xingqiu Ult , Xingqiu E (constellation purposes) ,Tap shenhe's E , Chongyun E , Shenhe's Ult (To maximize const 2 chongyun) , Chongyun Ult, Rosa Ult, Rosa E , Shenhe's Hold E , Chongyun E (sac greatsword proc), Rosa basic atk , Cycles
It might sound complicated, but im used to it by now, and it's now just muscle memory

@@tranhieu1944 i have, and it's supper fun, but it does struggle in floor 12 , since the dmg of the team is of course (not that much) but besides from floor 12 any other floor, this team will be able to 9 star (with a bit of investment)

I'm definitely not getting c6 Shenhe, but the moment I pulled her, the non cryo cyro melee team immediately popped into my head as an idea. Even if it's not super efficient at c0, I still think it can be super fun, and this gives me some ideas. Great video!

I've been playing a fun perma freeze combo of c0 ayaka, c0 shenhe, c6 xingqiu, c0 ganyu support. Probably slotting a kokomi in there instead of xingqiu would make it even more comfy to play. But honestly, once the freeze starts, the enemy isn't moving anyways.

Instead use Sucrose. She can bump up damage soo much more than yunjin
Physical zhongli looking too clean with that clear speed.

I just realized for the last build if you use Xiangling as the main dps cryo attacker her last hit will apply a pyro explosion instance which melts. Maybe that specific talent will be useful now...?

I would rate Ayaka NA usability higher personally. I pretty much used that team on banner release, except Kokomi instead of Anemo, and quite easily got 36 stars. C0 Shenhe + Fav lance | C1 Yun Jin + Prototype Starglitter | C1 Ayaka + Black sword. Imo the usability is high because basically all 3 teammates for Ayaka are really easy to build.
Shenhe / Yun Jin just need full main stat of their respective scaling ATK / DEF with a bunch of ER. Shenhe even uses double 2-set which is a bit easier, but also wants some crit for Fav lance. Anemo just needs VV and with Kokomi tbh it doesn't even matter as long as she does hydro application and heals but 4-set Millileth + TTDS works nicely.
I've basically spent 0 additional days to build these characters and just leveld some artifacts I already had lying around, so pretty satisfying for this to 36 star. And it's a fun playstyle for Ayaka enjoyers.

Aloy, Shenhe, Jean. Aloy throws bombs and Jean yeets them into the enemy. Shenhe makes sure it has dmg maybe add in C2 Chongyun or another anemo to reduce Aloy's high cd on her skill.
Probably better to add Bennett, XQ or Kokomi to this. Aloy, Shen, water, Jean. Though probably much better dmg with Aloy, Shen, Bennett, Kazuha.
@@pfortunato78 Kazuha can't yeet the bombs so no. Jean is onfield so Bennet is boosting neither Aloy nor Shenhe, the two characters that affect the bomb dmg. (Sara could actually work because I think her buff stays even if off field.) Xingqui and Kokomi are good but Jean is already a healer and Xingqui loses a lot of his burst because of the setup of the yeet canon.
Mona and Klee are better options if you want more dmg. Mona can taunt, freeze, buff, and her burst can bubble smaller enemies by itself. Klee was the original bomb thrower so more bombs + melt = more dmg.
Also ps. This is so much easier with a sacrificial bow, Aloy has a ridiculous cd on her skill.
@@serezelveydawn The bomb yeet is so much less important than the consistent pyro application by Kazuha's burst that allows multiple melts. Jean's field gets overridden almost instantly, Kazuha's burst does not.

I can't speak for f2p, but im having to much fun with c6 shenhe. The part about making anybody a cryo dps is real. I beat the abyss with a level 40 kaeya and cryo anemo traveler with her set up. Her c6 will scale well for any new cryo infusion characters we get in the future. Sidenote: Im very excited for when Yae comes , so we can see what you do with her c6. I'm getting her c6 alsol and your vids really shed light for whales also. Much love.
the difference between C0 Shenhe and C6 Shenhe is massive. for C0 she's not really great compared to the current Freeze team we have. but if Shenhe is C6, that's OP

For a while I've wanted someone to try out Xiao-Shenhe-Diona-(Ganyu, Ayaka, Rosaria). Xiao can actually proc Shenhe's quills during his burst and due to his hypercarry nature they will deal quite a few damage (maybe 4piece VV might even be worth it despite the loss of selfish damage). Shenhe could use her hold skill since it lasts as long as Xiao's burst and also grants plunge damage as an extra. In the last slot you basically use a burst bot, with Ganyu giving extra cryo damage, Ayaka bringing fast big damage and Rosaria sharing crit with the team. The team would have issues funneling energy to Xiao, so Favonius weapons are necessary. I have no idea if it's actually a good team, but I want someone to try it out since I have neither 5stars.

I'm planning to do a Morgana team whenever Ganyu banner appear. Ganyu, Mona, Shenhe, and Kazuha/venti. Wonder if Shenhe will be worth the spot in the team or not

Wanted to see C6 Ganyu since she can do 3 charged attacks at the start, and all of them should be improved by Shenhe even in just a cryo comp and no melt needed.
my friend try aloy dps with shenhe,yunjin and kazuha for normal stocking combo. or aloy,shenhe,klee, and kazuha for burst combo and it was amazing. but still there are more character that are good in terms of dps.
