3:22 It’s 50 icicles.
5 icicles every cycle. Each cycle lasts 1.5 seconds. Total damage with grouped enemies with Venti = 5 * 10 * icicle multiplier.
That situation never happens tho, and even if it did basically any character can take care of it. Multiple groupable enemies means that they’re almost always just going to die to swirls.
unrelated but FYI, if you are playing on mobile, the 30fps will reduce the number of icicles

First it's already hard aiming on mobile, then you get reduced icecle because of the limited fps??
though on mobile you can shoot faster since you automatically move out of aimed mode when you shoot, rather than having to sprint and press r again

Her 15% returns on crafting bows is a real game-changer!
Yeah it changed my life. When I spent almost 8 months straight with no prototype bow drop then all of a sudden I get 2 in one week after pulling amos randomly from a banner.
I have Ganyu but my Diluc gets more use because bows are non-existent in my world. I have gotten 1 blueprint to drop in 6 months of playing.
Ganyu is why building artifact presets is absolutely necessary; MiHoYo really, really needs to add this feature to the game. If it were easier to swap artifact sets it would be a lot more fun to try different playstyles and team comps, giving us even more mileage from our characters.
Thanks for the thorough comparisons. I've had a Skyward Harp sitting mostly idle for a long while waiting for the GOAT, and she has finally arrived! Feeling like it won't be wasted on her at all. I also have a triple crowned Ayaka, so that makes Ganyu a relatively low investment character for me. She was ready to slot in day 1 and is already a super fun addition to my freeze team. A melt build will take a bit more time to optimize (and too much artifact juggling), but I have a pretty good team ready to go for that as well if ever I feel like Ayaka isn't doing enough damage (LOL).
I came from Raid shadow legends and I just keep thanking mihoyo that swapping artifacts is free and doesn't cost tons of money like in raid.

@@hiparifu6889 it's just the worst. it's so unfriendly for f2p. so for upgrading artifact you had to pay a set amount of silver that will rise with each level. but when paying you didn't upgrade the artifact, but you just had a chance to upgrade one level (chance get lower as the level gets higher). and on top of that the regular sub stat rng like in genshin. and the fact that there was no dedicated way to get silver (=mora here) and it was really hard to. so it was really hard trying different builds for characters and building new characters or swapping items. and that's just it. most of my game playing was just farming farming farming so one day I can try to get better artifacts. really horrible. highly not recommended

@Holly if i may help you a little about artifact presets. you can equip the other set on other unused archers/chars, and then swap the artifacts when needed. also to make things faster, you can sort the artifacts set by Shimenawa/Wanderer/Blizzard. This method definitely helps me a lot when swapping between Wanderer/Blizzard set
but yeah i agree, i hope Mihoyo will soon implement artifact presets
I saved a lot for my Goat. I got her C1 with Amos bow. Double crowned her. And now I don't have enough mora to upgrade Amos bow. So I'm currently rocking a lv 90 Ganyu with a lv 1 Amos bow. Overall life is DAIJOBU.

Already have Ganyu since her 1st run but still watching this to get some new ideas on team comps. Currently using the reverse-melt (ShotGanyu) with the same team but the Sunfire team seems fun.
Definitely the best guides are on your channel. None I've seen gives the exact numbers and compares %. Also best showcase comparisons between characters !

If you dont have Zhongli (like me) you can use Tankfei (c4 Yanfei with prototype amber, max life and energy recharge). Huge shield, even more pyro on enemies to melt, some nice team heals and more pyro battery. Then if you want to switch Bennet for Jean for some reason you still have pyro resonance.
ooh that's good to know! i actually do have zhongli but i was also wondering if there was a way i could use yanfei (have her at c3 and hopefully i'll get a few more cons pulling for ganyu) so that's good to know

For Melt Ganyu, another team that I prefer is instead of replacing Zhongli with Kazuha, replace Xiangling. Then apply cryo to atleast one enemy, place Bennets burst so it doesn’t hit the enemy, and Kazuha burst, swirling the cryo, and getting infused with pyro bc of Bennets pyro cleanse. It sounds complicated but is actually really easy after you play it a few times
Yep this is the team I use and I thought he was gonna mention this team cause it has both a VV shredder and a shield instead of having to sacrifice one for the other, which in my opinion makes it better than the other two variations

Yeah I agree that Pyro resonance melt is the most comfortable, running Kazuha and Bennett even with the proper ER doesn’t feel as nice of uptime considering you can use Xianling Q then her E after the duration for consistent melts

Really informative video. I just would've really liked to see an optimal freeze team rotation. As someone who has also barely used Mona, it's hard to tell in what order things need to go, if I use Mona's or Ganyu's skill and when, when/what should be swirled, and who should be holding the TTDS (right now I only have Sucrose until Kazuha or Venti get a rerun).

very interesting, I have Ganyu from D1 and I have always used the skyward harp I didn't think it was so much inferior to the amos bow, I hope to find it as soon as possible because despite all the time I spent playing with Ganyu I still enjoy her a lot

I thought i am watching a ganyu guide from a different channel... i like the way you show us now what its like while explaining just like what you did on ganyu's charge attack.
I wish Genshin would let you save builds. I like to use an Ult-spam build for Spiral Abyss but changing it is such an annoyance 🥴
Equip the alternative set to someone you don't ever use then only switch artefacts with that character… that's what I do

For sure! It's annoying to cannibalize my commission squad artifacts for specialized abyss teams, especially this abyss where you might build different teams for each chamber. Also, let me change loadouts from the abyss screen Q_Q

TLDR :
Wanderer's Troupe is her best overall set.
Blizzard Strayer is her best set strictly in freeze comps.
Shimenewa is as good as WT but very restrictive.
Amos Bow is the Best weapon overall unless in niche cases, in which polar star is better.
C0 Ganyu is all you need.
If you are not a GIGAWHALE and still want to invest in Ganyu's constellations : C1 is where you should stop at.
If you are a whale : C6.
Ganyu is still one of the best characters in the game even after 1 year of her release.
Stats fishing Priority :
Melt (Wanderer's Troupe):
1- CR.
2-CD.
3-EM.
4-ATK% (not really).
//
Freeze (Blizzard Strayer):
1- CD.
2-ATK %.
3- CR.
4- ER.
For Melt Ganyu :
Ideal stats : 70% CR && 200% CD && as much EM as you can fit in.
For Freeze Ganyu :
25-30% MAX for CR && as much CD and ATK % as you can get while maintaining 25% CR.
For 4-star bow, which one do you think is worth crafting considering many enemies now don't have weakspot, the crescent bow or hamayumi? Also, is it worth crafting any of them when I only have 2 billet and have an R1 Viridescent? Thanks~

@@adisetyadi39 if you are strictly melt then hanayumi if you still want to play freeze just use crescent since you will still have situation where you ca hit weak spot while the hanayumi is useless in freeze
@@adisetyadi39 yesterday i crafted Hamayumi just in case i can get Ganyu this week. You already know that no boss has weak points lately so crafting Prototype Cresent is not really recomended especialy aiming weak points is very hard in mobile version. I mean yeah Hamayumi is better.

Hamayumi is better than Viridescent even at R1, since you have 2 billets you should get R2 Hamayumi

Finally got around to watching this video. I've had C1 Ganyu for a year and the Amos bow was my first 5 star wish and I've never fully utilized them.
I needed this. Been waiting a year on Ganyu rerun after loosing 50/50 on first banner and getting Kequing. I missed the 50/50 again on this banner and pulled a Mona constellation. I went into the wallet and spent $50 to get 40 more wishes(with Crystal bonus) and finally got her on the very last wish after using Paimons shop to get a few extra wishes. I put my R3 Amos Bow on her after maxxing her out and now she's one of my best damage dealers(even though my artifacts need a little work). Now I'd I miss Yae Mikos 50/50 I'm gonna be super pissed I can no longer get the bonus crystals unless I buy the $100 pack(not likely). Thanks for the video!
I had 40wishes saved (5 from the shop) was at 69 pity. Got a 5star in the first 10pull lost to keqing. Than on the 3rd 10pull got ganyu

I was saving for yae but since I wanted Stardust i pulled and ofc I had to get ganyu i even have Amos bow but i rlly wanted yae so now I have very low chance of getting her and there's 50/50 . :(

I personally think blackcliff's more useful in the abyss since it's quite easy to get 2 stacks.
42-72% att bonus for 30sec is quite good, along with the highest base attack
The big single bosses in abyss don't tend to have weak points so ends up equally bad as PtCresent
This is situational.
That's why you keep Hamayumi instead. No conditions, unless you need to run freeze comp
Nope since those smol enemies are easy af the harder ones are the single big bosses like array, if its situational like that then its maybe even worse than prototype crescent

You can replace Xiangling with Kazuha in the first Melt team you recommended.
Looks like I pulled Ganyu at the perfect time! First 10 pull got a 5star lost 50/50 to a Mona con (not even mad I love Mona) then 50 wishes later Ganyu came home!

thankyou for this, got ganyu on her re run and that's my first time playing the game and never thought of this freeze build. and by far, without knowing that build, i am currently gearing her along that path. tho i kind of almost short on materials, her being strong makes farming feel a bit easy.

u can also use diona as a shielder and healer for ganyu and if u have her c6, then u can have additional 200 em which is incredible for the melt team

very nice guide, i do think Zhongli Kazuha Bennett Ganyu as a melt team should have been mentioned. Kazuha giving the double buffs to cryo/pyro, and then swirling pyro with his ult allows Ganyu to melt and can give the highest theoretical DPS (without needing XL) while still being comfortable to play.
Yes, more personal damage for Ganyu if your XL is not invested. Problem is if you can’t 1-round, then you have to use a lot of time recharging Kazuha Burst. XL has better Burst uptime (Bennett pyro funnel)… and Gouba after Burst ends for extended melts. As bonus you can reposition Gouba, and Favonious Bennett burst is usually up with 1 Skill for the optimal damage.
@@verymental6999 ya good point. def depends on individual ERs and # of enemies - my kazu at c2 with 160 ER not really an issue getting burst back most of the time
@@gammaxten Yarp. Although this Abyss 12 is nearly a boss rush, and very unfriendly to melt/reverse melt for my teams, because of enemy movement.. and very few particles on A-side. Raiden National is just flying with the normals buff and carrying B-side (I hate B-side this time around).

I waited to pull for Ganyu to use her passive and craft the prototype Crescent
I got her yesterday and put her lvl 90, then rushed to the blacksmith to craft the bow .. turns out I forgot to switch to Ganyu
Rip. An opportunity to use the passive wasted. Maybe one day.
Oof, happened to me too...passives like Ganyu's, Zhongli's or Diluc's are already very very situational...and if somehow we even forget that one time when the passive is actually applicable, that just feels so bad...I wonder when there'll be more Characters with passives similar to Childe...
@@lil_toro yeah, it is pretty sad that they are rarely usable, and even more when you finally have a chance to use it and forget about it lol
I don't know what Childe's passive is
@@serguenedouard586 increases the entire party's and his own AA level by 1...if you have a Ganyu with Lvl.9 AA, and you put her in the same party with Childe, he basically crowns the AA for you, and if it's already on lvl 10, he boosts it to 11.

Wanderer's Troupe is a great artifact for Ganyu, but my God, it's a difficult artifact to farm. I'm tired doing strongboxes.

If you have the characters i feel like mono cryo is way to underrated, it is so much fun playing a more quick swap style with ganyu ayaka shenhe and diona. You can easily play shime set with just e.g activate ganyu q into diona eq into shenhe qe into ayaka q into e and then you swap into ganyu and have enough energy to e use shimenawa. Personally i find it really fun to play :D

The new CN Morgana variant is actually insane: Ganyu, Mona, Venti, and Rosaria!!!! U can literally just press skills and not move at all in some cases. It's so fun.
Just a side note* your flying Qiqi’s got in the way of your graphs a lot. Maybe limit should be 1. Kind of like how often we should get Qiqi in the first place. (Only once)

Fun Fact : Every genshin player will have the best set artifact for ganyu, it is wanderers troupe, because of weekly boss.
AR 55+ are guaranteed to have good 4 pc set because they'd accumulate at least 130 pieces
15 months of playing, 40pg lv 80+ and still my wanderers are shit. Gladiator al top tier
ah well. I suppose that's how RNG works heh. Still generally, more piece = more chance of 1 being good

Man I really needed this info on polar star, Amos and polar star are officially equal to me now. Considering burst and E damage bonuses are many and multiple instances of damage whereas blooms your only doing 2-3 assuming the difference in blooms in that many shots is 5-15000 dmg difference the Q alone does 830x8-10 times almost 8000 then e damage on both ticks. Essentially equal damage or negligible difference. Ah and I’m referring to R1 in both instances based off your chart. THANK YOU seriously !

Almost 2 weeks late to this video, I've been using melt ganyu before anyone has talked about it (I don't have Morgana), and the team is very good for my months of experience with it.

I don't have any good Anemo character so I'm planning to use Fischl instead~ I have Kaeya, Xingqiu, and Xiangling that I could also put in there but I don't know which of the four to use...
