There was never a competition as to who the lady's heart belongs to but as far as which men loved her the most, and also the longest, it was Dong Mae.
all 3 of them loved her deeply and protected her until the end. i love the bromances in this drama between the 3 guys when they all got along later on. they make a great trio.

@Merchant Princess I agree with you. Dong Mae is the one that loved Ae Shin the most and the longest. His love for her is compassionate and intense but he expresses his love in a completely different way then Eugene and Hui Seong.
The scenes between Dong Mae and Ae Shin made my heart flutter... his love for her was so intense and beautiful which were highlights for me..

That scene portrays his desire to be close to her and express his desires to let her know he meant well or he has good intention but he view himself so low that he could only afford to touch the least fragments of her expensive skirt.
Even a graze of part of her will do that he wants to hold strong on that small piece of her lower garment because he loves her so.
Dong-mae made her cry, Eugene made her smile, and Heesung made her laugh.
Lost Dream Usually I dont really like love triangle type of drama. But this is beyond of that. I really glad that I found this drama 😆

Dong-mae made her angry, Eugene made her laugh and Hee-sung made her wonder. Favorite line was “3 men lost their way because you decided to wield a gun”. This quadrangle was AMAZINGLY portrayed by the 3 men who each loved her so selflessly and sacrificially.

The fact that he recognized her right away, even if it's only her eyes showing proves how much Dong Mae loved Ae Shin.
Out of the 3 guys, i think he stands out the most. Dong Mae’s love for her is intense and the chemistry is definitely there.

I can understand y dong mae doesnt end up with ae shin, his passion was too much, it was like being set on fire and burning up everything! His glance had so much tension...almost making the viewer feel his feelings! Right from their first encounter to every moment of him even thinking of her was so intense to realize that it was real😍

After watching Mr. Sunshine I became a fan of Yoo Yeon Seok. I'm really amazed how he portrayed as Gu Dong Mae. His acting skills is great ! Until now, I'm still sad for GDM, he cares for Ae shin but its hard for him to express how he feels because he grew up in a cruel way.
Dear then try watching Hospital playlist..you gonna see another side of Yoo Yeon Seok..l am a big fan of him😍

I hope you can make that too... they're all so respectful to each other, they all devoted to her and all these men died for her while Ae-Shin loves Joseon the most.
I finished the show like 5 months ago, but from the moment I saw Go Dong Mae camo out he easily turned into my favorite character in this drama. The love he had for Ae shin was unconditionally, I really shipped them together but sadly he died in a one-sided love story://
the best drama i`ve seen. It wasnt just a serial, it was a real movie. The script, actors, music were just incredible. Director and cameramen ... I really adore their job

So before he shot Aeshin.....he was debating with himself whether that was her or not. He wanted to make sure so he waited at the train station to see if she really came there the next morning, which she did. To him.....that confirms she was the one who shot at him and is a part of the Righteous Organization. He was hoping she wouldnt appear there so he was just telling himself......"I told you not to come".

Among Kim Eun Sook's dramas, this is my favorite. It was so beautiful yet so sad. I could sympathize with every character in the drama.

GDM is my favorite character here. I loved him. I wish they end up together. His love is the most intense. He love GAS so much but can’t express it correctly. Because of this drama, I became a fan of YYS. He portrayed his character very well. Also KTR. Wah. I am sad of the ending.😭
I just recently finished this drama and boy! What an emotional trauma Ive got! Still can't get over the tears. Kim Nam Gil surely deserves the award he got, but Byung Hun and Y{oon Suk also did great! The best drama I've seen in a long time❤️❤️❤️❤️

I won't mind if he ended up with the Hotel Owner, they got great chemistry too, or the mute woman he rescued. I just want a happy ending for him. His character has greatly affected me more than the lead.

I have to preface my comment with my hatred for the person of the cruel Dong-mae, but I can't help not to feel for him esp. when he's showing his humanity. Oddly enough, I feel the most chemistry between Kim Tae-ri and Yoo Yoon-seok. Hopefully, they'll partner together in another drama as leads sometime soon or later.

The best love story ever written, Agape, Eros, and Philos....the only one missing was Eros, and that "missing" ingredient made it all the better. My personal no.-1 all time favorite, and I don't limit that to kdrama.
Now that you mention it, Agape love could be represented by Hee-Sung, Philos by Eugene and Eros by Dong Mae. I love the cleverness of this realistic show. So much better than what we see on Western TV.
