Dong-mae made her angry, Eugene made her laugh and Hee-sung made her wonder. Favorite line was “3 men lost their way because you decided to wield a gun”. This quadrangle was AMAZINGLY portrayed by the 3 men who each loved her so selflessly and sacrificially.
He loved her the longest, and loved her from afar. He resented his & her status, but still loved her. When he went to the temple to visit her parents..really touching, and heartbreaking. Too bad she couldn’t see past his anger, which was really love.

I can understand y dong mae doesnt end up with ae shin, his passion was too much, it was like being set on fire and burning up everything! His glance had so much tension...almost making the viewer feel his feelings! Right from their first encounter to every moment of him even thinking of her was so intense to realize that it was real😍

You can say it's a reverse harem drama on ANOTHER LEVEL. I'll never love all the first lead, second lead, or another lead but this drama. GREAT ACTING, GREAT PLOT, GREAT CHARACTERS.
The best love story ever written, Agape, Eros, and Philos....the only one missing was Eros, and that "missing" ingredient made it all the better. My personal no.-1 all time favorite, and I don't limit that to kdrama.
Now that you mention it, Agape love could be represented by Hee-Sung, Philos by Eugene and Eros by Dong Mae. I love the cleverness of this realistic show. So much better than what we see on Western TV.

I started watching Mr Sunshine back when it aired, but dropped it after a few episodes.The main couple did not have chemistry, and Lee Byun Hyun was just like an expressionless fish.But Yoo Yoon Seokwas just killing it and giving the male lead a run for his money.He had better chemistry with the female lead as well, Kim tae ri.I almost wished they would switch and make his character, Goo Dong mae the male lead.A butcher and a aristocatic woman, now that would be a better , more interresting story.I wish someone made a video of only his scenes from that drama. i would watch that gladly, every time he is on the screen, you can feel it sizzle with electricity, dude has incredible charisma and intensity

I just recently finished this drama and boy! What an emotional trauma Ive got! Still can't get over the tears. Kim Nam Gil surely deserves the award he got, but Byung Hun and Y{oon Suk also did great! The best drama I've seen in a long time❤️❤️❤️❤️

The best love story ever written, Agape, Eros, and Philos....the only one missing was Eros, and that "missing" ingredient made it all the better. My personal no.-1 all time favorite, and I don't limit that to kdrama.
Now that you mention it, Agape love could be represented by Hee-Sung, Philos by Eugene and Eros by Dong Mae. I love the cleverness of this realistic show. So much better than what we see on Western TV.

I have to preface my comment with my hatred for the person of the cruel Dong-mae, but I can't help not to feel for him esp. when he's showing his humanity. Oddly enough, I feel the most chemistry between Kim Tae-ri and Yoo Yoon-seok. Hopefully, they'll partner together in another drama as leads sometime soon or later.

Sad thing is that the writer is going modify the role of Dongmae, which would affect how he feels for Aeshin in later episodes. People were complaining about inaccuracy history when this drama is mostly fictional. People actually petition for this and even took it to the Blue House.

I started watching Mr Sunshine back when it aired, but dropped it after a few episodes.The main couple did not have chemistry, and Lee Byun Hyun was just like an expressionless fish.But Yoo Yoon Seokwas just killing it and giving the male lead a run for his money.He had better chemistry with the female lead as well, Kim tae ri.I almost wished they would switch and make his character, Goo Dong mae the male lead.A butcher and a aristocatic woman, now that would be a better , more interresting story.I wish someone made a video of only his scenes from that drama. i would watch that gladly, every time he is on the screen, you can feel it sizzle with electricity, dude has incredible charisma and intensity
