The ending was a painful one because the credit was given to the wrong person for many years but it's realistic because it shows how not everything history teaches was what really happened. no matter how authentic the research proves to be.
At that time its a unwritten rule that clothes must be base on what is your status in the community they can't just wear any clothes that they like a sad reality from the past.

The end was open to the viewers which showed there's season 2. You haven't watched real Sageuk dramas based on real korean history with plot twists. Dramas like Empress Ki, the fearless lady, Queen Seon Deok, Dong Yi, Six flying dragons, deep rooted tree, Splendid politics, Jumong etc. The list goes on. There's Hwarang where we saw our BTS V. For me Hwarang was better than Scarlet heart. You are missing great deal. I ever watch modern drama I gave watched almost all Sageuks.
