This is a sad story not only because of the tailor and the queen, but also because of the friendship and competition between the tailor the the head tailor of royal. They were friends, competitors, enemies and soulmates. They understood each other and the desire of being the best tailor. It's sad the story has to end that way but it shows us that jealousy can turn a meaningful relationship into something ugly.
The ending made me cry. Its shit tbh. Stupid ass older tailor. While the younger tailor was just being honest and looking up to the older tailor.. all the older tailor was think of him suspiciously and got him... you know

This is a heart wrenching drama, just a heavy blow on your heart at the end of the movie: the crazy king beheaded the tailor, the queen throws away all the garments he's made for her, only the yellow one is shown in the "museum." Very sad, very disappointing. I wish I would never seen that movie.
It was a good movie, very realistic. I just felt very pissed off at the end. Nobody got what they deserved or really wanted. Not the King, not the Queen, and neither tailor. The King never called on that tailor ever again after his betrayal.
Now is their anyone else except me who have seen or know the man who interrupt when the dad of the daughters quarrelled with the tailor. He is one of the main characters in the movie "The train to busan". Edit: main
many that commented abt his remarks on the queen before learning anything abt her either did not even bother to watch/read the subs or just lack comprehension of what they read/watch....i'm more surprised to see more than one such comment....have people's general abilities really downgraded that much? really?
I actually think that the king let the queen go easily she was actually moved by the trailer and thinking as per that time rules and customs he might have beheaded the queen as well.
The tailor is responsible for his fate he should know his limits and should hold himself even if he likes her, she was Kings women. He must have known the fact that he was diging his own grave. As per the stories situation I think king did the right thing even let the queen go who speak harsh with him.

Consider your self as a king in the era were people are supposed to follow untold society rules, it's kind of moral science of that time and male- female friendship is considered as taboo. She was the princes and he was a royal tailor they are supposed to have a better idea about these rules. As per the movie it's not mere friendship but something more which the writer and director don't want to acknowledge
