I was in and out in under an hour without any pain or discomfort. My wife is an OR nurse, and she said this operation is a piece of cake compared to the old way of repairing saphenous veins. Three more days to go for three more veins doing one vein a day.

Followup, it's been about 4 months, and I'm completely satisfied. The surface injuries I had on my legs healed up very well, and the glue works. I recommend this vein procedure to everyone. Nerves are coming back, and leg swelling is completely gone. A significant number of people need this operation, but most doctors have little knowledge about it.
I underwent the Venaseal procedure and it works like a charm. There was absolutely no discomfort or pain during the surgery. If you can manage a small prick of anesthesia, you can manage it. I'll post more updates here as I recover.
I just had this procedure done yesterday. I need to do 2 more. It's not painful, but I feel just a little discomfort around the treated area.
2 years ago, I had radio-frequency ablation at different locations, and they damaged my nerve, so I was super scared to do this again.

Update
The first procedure on my right leg was great. No issues.
10 days ago, I finished the last 2 procedures on my L leg. A couple of days later, my leg started itching, and it became hard, red, and my ankle was swollen. I was terrified. I thought i had thrombosis or something.
I went to the doctor and did an ultrasound. Everything looked good. They said i had delayed reaction to a treatment.
The symptoms went away after several days.
This week, i will continue the treatment. Dr will use ultrasound guided sclerotherapy to remove branches and visible spider veins.

Should there be any extreme pain? Had one vein, each leg done. Quite painful when i lay down at night.

In my case, my insurance pays 100%. I'm having pain, the vein is very notable, and it gets itchy in the area and also very warm and sometimes red. It hurts when I walk after sitting down for a while. They did ultrasound and it showed that the vein is no longer working so they will do Endovenous ablation procedure to close the vein.

All the claims about this being painless are utter nonsense. They claim you will feel the anesthetic needle’ and nothing else. That’s a lie. I had this on my first leg yesterday’ and screamed in pain several times. It felt like the doctor was ripping out my veins with fish hooks. I left the office and vomited from the trauma of the procedure. I will not get my other leg done until I can find someone who will give me twilight anesthesia. This was agonizing and horrible. Medtronic should be honest about the pain level.
May I ask where you had the procedure done?
I just had it done, virtually zero pain, done in half hour

@@snewsie609 basically zero, a little bruising and slight tenderness to the touch. I have been dealing with severe varicose symptoms for decades and it's possible the damage is severe enough that I just couldn't hardly feel anything. I also feel like I have a high tolerance to pain.
I just had this done and it has been great. Very little pain during and post procedure. Results are TBD but so far very happy.
