We are back with another spring walleye fishing video! In this video we are fishing a flowage lake for spring time walleyes. With the warmer than normal spring we are targeting some walleyes using slip bobbers and leeches. This is a killer pattern from now until mid summer. In this video we are using the NEW Kalins Sharpshooter slip bobbers and jig to catch walleye's on forward facing sonar. Thanks for watching!

Slip bobber is one of the most effective and exciting forms of walleye fishing and I have you Tom to thank for re-introducing this to me (through your vides) a few years ago, some of my largest fish have come from slip bobbing.

Slip-bobbering is one of my favorite ways to fish. I love that yours has a sleeve that goes all the way through. I do wish that there was an "easy on / easy off" slip bobber rig that could be taken on and off w/o have to cut, pull off the knot and bead and bobber and jig, and then retie, but that's probably more of a me problem than something the industry can address. Lol. Great video, and thanks!

Just grabbed a cpl for me and my buddies. Heading up to Ontario on the 28th for some pike and walleye fishing.
Great vid, Tom. I love these styles of bobbers but wish they'd have a bit of a 'neck' on the top to attach a glowstick for night fishing. If anyone has any mods to add light on this style, I would be interested to hear it.
Another great video and one of my favorite methods especially with the kids in the boat. Do you typically keep downwind of the fish or do you go upwind so you can cast out the back? Maybe there was shallow water on the upwind side in this instance.

I really like that 3/8 thill wobble bobber but the colors on this bobber are better as well as the fact that i dont have to struggle threading it is huge. Hope Kalins is stocked up cuz thats about to blow up. Hope you got a slice of that pie Tom. Good to come in a kit too.

What test braid line are you using ? Is hivis line ok? And what test is your fluorocarbon and how long is your leader?

Hey Tom, great content and love the new slip bobber design and kit! Question for you, I live on a lake in southern Indiana with a stocked walleye population. I'm used to fishing slip bobbers with leaches from my days in Minnesota but this lake doesn't have leaches in it. Do you think a leach, if i can get them, would still be an effective bait? I've been wondering that for a while.
Lakes don't have night crawlers in them but walleyes eat them. Leeches seem to work everywhere

Slip bobber fishing for walleyes is fishing for dummies .....like me , my fav ..... I use colored hooks instead of jigs in A #4 size .....it's the equivelant of tip up fishing in winter 🎣 ....using A hook instead of A jig allows more natural movement of the leech in my opinion 🤔
I agree single octopus hook is money. Only issue becomes casting it into wind always tangles
@@TomBoley yep , but usually position the boat so that I'm casting with the wind ....and then also your line doesn't drift back into the boat so much .... casting with the wind instead of trying to fight it is $$$ ....I've got my spots in vilas county 😎

Leeches on a Slip Rig is like a Big Mac for walleyes. Unfortunately both have been greatly effected by inflation so I'm throwing value meals on my 1/8 jig.
