Does this ride remind you guys of TRON? If you guys don't know it yet, but there's an actual TRON roller coaster ride over at Shanghai Disneyland. Another good thing is the ride from Shanghai Disneyland is actually coming to Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney WOrld in a few more years.

I dig how high-tech this looks with all the animations, but the great thing about the old set was that it looked and felt like a real testing centre for cars.
the non-country part of epcot is based around innovation and the future and what we can do to have a good one, so thats why everything is really futuristic. i think the new test track with the ability to design a car that will work well without polluting the earth really fits the theme of epcot. also that music at the beginning after the seatbelt check is such a mood

Hey! This is for anyone who’s afraid to ride this or is just afraid of rides in general! I have a HUGE fear of roller coasters and rides, for reference I’m still to scared to ride big thunder (in magic kingdom) and it took me an hour to convince my self to try pirates of the Caribbean (which is now my 2nd favorite ride) when waiting in line for test track I was in tears, shaking like crazy, and hyperventilating. I know it may seem super stupid that I was freaking out that much but it was a huge step for me. This ride is fast I won’t lie, but it isn’t a scary feeling. It’s a new feeling yes, but if I can handle so can you. The fastest (and for me scariest) part of this ride is taking off and zooming out of the doors and outside. It all happens so fast the last thing your body and brain are trying to do is feel scared. Your body is trying to catch up with the fact you went from 0 to 50 in seconds. When you do adjust you will be fine. The first time I closed my eyes and hung on for dear life, the second my eyes were open, and third I was riding like a pro! This is my favorite out of all the parks! If your afraid give it a go, and if ya don’t like it don’t do it again! I hope this helped someone, happy riding everyone! 💕

This was my 3rd rollercoaster ever - I also used to be scared of riding on rollercoasters -and I found it quite fun! Maybe because I like the feeling of going fast, I don't know. I'd say the only part to be worried about is the jerky parts of the ride, as you may not be scared of them, but people with back/neck problems could maybe get hurt on the ride. That's really it, and even then, I asked my parents (who both had these issues) and they said it wasn't too bad. Really, this isn't all that bad. In fact, the worst rollercoaster in Disney World is a different one, Rock n Rollercoaster, as it's the only one that goes upside down a couple of times. And if you're scared of going on it because of your fear of heights, it doesn't go much higher than what you'd see on a highway, which isn't very high.

It's changed a lot since my wife and I rode it in 2003. 4:19 was where we broke down and came to a halt, leaning over at 45 degrees while a recorded voice told us that this was not a scheduled stop and please do not attempt to leave the car. Across the other side of the circular part of the track we could see the car behind us had also stopped.
After about five minutes we got going again and when we returned to the boarding platform, staff invited us to stay seated and go around again to make up for the breakdown. Of course we said yes.
I stopped a little before the truck when I went his year and we were stuck on the hill

The old one was more intense but glad they kept it and made it more interactive the speed run is fun wish they could crank it to 70-90 mph tho

it's a complete downgrade. they stripped all the really cool elements and ride props and replaced them with empty rooms, wooden cutouts, and neon lights... watch an old ride-through video

It's beautiful that the dad on the front had more fun looking at his child
I miss the original theming, it wasn't just cool it was also educational. I remember going on the ride when it first opened and being amazed at everything you could see and read while waiting in line. I learned a lot about all the testing cars went through before they were sold just from waiting in line!
I think both the new and old one are pretty good. This one has a simulator where you build cars before the ride. To summarize everything, the old one educates people who are interested in car engineering, and the new one makes people find their interest in car engineering
This ride lives on my mind RENT FREE. Such an awesome experience. Haven’t been on the newest one but I definitely want to try it!
They needed this update because EPCOT is supposed to be about the Future! The old version just looked really out of date. I do however miss the temperature rooms and the "Did you forget to turn off the robots?".

MrStone Saling the old Test Track fitted just fine for Epcots theme. Epcot isn't just about the future, but it's also about human achievement... and I think cars and the automotive industry is a pretty good human achievement.
AMagicProduction yes Epcot is also about human achievement but the ride is located in "future world" so it did need to be updated to fit that area of the park
The one thing I do miss from the original was that the tunnel at 3:32 was completely pitch black, adding to the surprise of the oncoming truck.
no tommorrow land was about the future Epcot is how we innovated and human achievement.
This ride is freakin fun!! I got on it for the first time about 6 months ago and it was my favorite of all the rides at Disneyworld!!!
I remember when I went on it not knowing anything about the ride I was genuinely shocked how it just kept gaining speed and it was quite a windy day so it made it feel SOO much faster

Test track is by far the most appealing ride looks wise
the old Test Track fitted fine for Epcot's theme. Epcot isn't just about the future, but it's also about human achievement and international culture; and I think cars and the automotive industry is a pretty good human achievement.

I think they both fit well, since they're basically the same, but the Tron aesthetic is more marketable and generally looks more appealing than the industrial theme
To me Epcot (and Magic Kingdom) exude an overall '70s-'80s vibe.

I rode this when I was a kid before they remodeled it. It was so much better back then, faster and more intense "test" that sends you around objects, wind blowing to demonstrate actual weather, it felt like an actual test track. The ending right before you start the speed portion had an immediate and more intense drop right after the doors opened. It was one of my favorite rides, but I was underwhelmed by the new version. I guess they wanted to make it futuristic and all about lights and some stupid car game

One of my fave rides at Disneyworld Epcot. At first, I thought this was a car racing ride but turns out even better! I did not expect the freeway!

I adored this ride, and the reskin looks neat! Although I do miss that ending where it felt like they were going to do an actual crash-test on your car. Freaked me out as a kid!
The updated visuals, sound bed, and voice acting in this one are a much better match to match the futuristic themes. Plus, it's a spiritual companion ride to the TR0N movies.
This is such a great ride, and I love the updates! Well done, Epcot!

First half I was like hmm not bad for a dark ride its not very fast but interesting and then the power test part was all the fun you could want to complete that ride.

I know I might be weird, but my favorite park isn’t magic kingdom but Epcot. It just feels more magical to me because it shows how if we all came together we can create a world of magic and wonder.

To anyone who is scared of any types of roller coasters, if it's the majestic Matterhorn to Expedition Everest, just take a breath on the ride cart. I used to be really scared of Splash Mountain, but when I was 9, I just took a breath on the log on the last lift. But, now it's my 2nd favorite ride and I always go in the summer. Oh, and also any people scared of double-carted rides, ask a cast member to reserve a front cart seat for you, it really helps because if your in the back cart it's much scarier. Reason: The front pulls you, making drops even scarier. (This only applies for carts attached to a TRAIN, not just an individual one.) Another tip: If you're on a lift to a drop, don't think about it. Look at the scenery or just... stare at the ceiling.
You don't see many rides that combine the dark ride aspect and roller coaster aspect together like this.

This is one of my favorite rides at Disney World.
Test Track is one of my favorite rides. I know lots of people think it isn't with the future theme but, it's still really fun to ride. When you put Tron in the title, I freaked out. I thought they already made it and I didn't know. Oh yeah, they're making a Tron roller coaster for Magic Kingdom.

I was so confused when I watched an older POV I was sat there like this is not the ride I didn’t realise they had updated it, so I’ve been on the new one and I don’t know what the complaints are for it’s a great ride. The car customisation in the queue and then as you go round the track seeing who performed the best is a great idea
All the girls screaming at the part where it goes really fast had me like: Yo you got baby pigs in that car?

I absolutely loved this ride and I’m terrified of roller coaster type things
So, does it have drops? I hate rollercoasters because of the drops, but I love going fast and banking curves.
My favorite ride! I'd really recommend going on this, it doesn't go that fast.. And at the end it goes really fast but, it feels like your being pushed down, so you don't feel anything. I was scared in my first time on it, but at the end it turned out to by my favorite ride at Disney! And, I hate roller coasters because I get scared, but this is my favorite.. Although, it isn't a roller coaster. I'd rate this one a 10/10.

try driving in a convertible on a track with slanted turns of such small turning radius and you'll get the same feeling

I love the re theme of this ride! I’ve been on both versions but I think I like the new one better! There are certain details like the voice of the person sounds better than the old people and the new tech look is super cool! I really enjoy this ride either way
I've been on this and lets just say no one expected this ride to speed up like that in the end xD so I can totally understand those kids screaming lol

Man.. I used to be able to go to Disney World a lot but when we moved away from Orlando and COVID started I haven't been there since then. I miss this ride so damn much.
I love this version of Test Track the most. The T in Epcot stands for Tomorrow. Since Test Track is located in the Future World, it needed to be remade to fit the theme and area. The story doesn't matter, because you can actually CREATE a car. Isn't that awesome enough?
I remember spending about 2 and a half hours creating cars. It was the time if my life!
My car got 2nd place so I'm proud of that. 😅

All of those technological sounds and the music combined with it, it just sounds like the grid.
I somehow knew there would be an outdoor part of the ride. It has a really close resemblance to radiator springs racers at California Adventure

I've been dreaming of going to Disney World since I was little. Never lose the coronavirus! from japan.
I went decades ago when I was a kid and I'm sure in the old version in the queue they'd show how they tested cars, and that you would too except smashing the car into a wall, then before you went outside they pretended to set up the test to drive you into a wall until the wall parted and you wnet outside. It scared the hell out of me but this version would put me to sleep now...(I might be thinking of a different ride tbh)
