I learned so much from your channel. Over Christmas break, you helped me get Arch dual booted on three of my machines. Thanks and I can’t wait to see you back here when the time is right! God bless!
It's always good for the mind and body to take sometime to ourselves, and this such break will refresh you. I really enjoy your channel and there's a hundred of videos that I didn't watch yet, which can be applied for many who are new in Linux and want something technical as your channel is. Good rest with your family and I hope you back soon :)
Congratulations on the new job, new apartment and opportunity to visit with family. We look forward to a refreshed Ermanno and his awesome takes on the Linux world.
Good stuff, Ermanno. Take some time to recharge and to rest. It's important that we all keep a lookout for burnout and it sounds like you are taking care of yourself. Congrats on the new job and apartment. Hope to see some more videos in the future, but either way, take care in the coming months!
Hi Ermanno, I stumble on one of your videos a few weeks ago and I'm a new subscriber. I really like how your tutorials are explained. Very well made. I'm an Arch user myself (personal PC, media center and VPS). To give a quick summary, I started using Linux at work about 10 years ago (I'm an embedded developer). I started with Ubuntu and stuck with it for a few years, I discovered the Yocto project for work and I learned a lot about Linux's inner workings. I switched to Arch about 5 years ago and never changed since. I love it. All that to say that I also use Arch for my Raspberry Pi projects. I don´t know if you did videos on Raspberry Pis before, but I could be a new subject for the channel. They are fun little devices. Enjoy your summer and travel safe! Cheers from Canada.
Your channel was the key for me to get into the Arch World. Thank you very much! It is not necessary to have a monthly install video for arch, for me it is absolutely okay to see new videos from time to time. Real life and family is important, I can absolutely understand it.
Ermanno! Thank you very much for your experience which you share in this video and in all of your tutorials (which you always make up to date)! Italians are very passionate people, so it's not a big surprise that you expressed your passion for Linux :)
Dear Ermanno, all the best and most of all have some fun in the coming period! In the last three years I have thoroughly enjoyed your journey in Linux. It was like riding along on the back of the motorbike like we do here in Vietnam, with a great navigator at the steering wheel. Along that journey I learned a lot from you as well and that will stay as a great souvenir; it really guided me into Linux, from Mint to Arch to Debian to OpenSuse and back and to tiling WM's, btrfs, snapshotting, you name it. Thanks a lot for all that and even if you don't return here we at least had a wonderful time, and you'll be happy doing what you're doing. Take care, mate! Mark
Thanks for sharing your news with us Ermanno; I hope the best for you and any plans you have for the future. I have already learned a huge amount from you, and I have not watched them all.
Dear Ermanno, Have a good time with your family. I have enjoyed your high quality tutorials a lot especially on Arch and Window managers. Thank you. Hope to see you back soon or later.
Best of luck in your new projects, hope to see you again doing some tutorials, your videos helped me to install arch, and learn a lot more. Thanks for everything, and good luck.
Congratulations on the new job, I wish you much success. I have learned so much from your tutorials and appreciate the time you give to this channel. Take a much deserved break and enjoy your trip and family. Thank you for the learning experience, I hope once settled in you can come back to make more tutorials. Take care and good luck.
Congatulations Ermanno, stay safe. We all look forward on more of your videos. Your video help my first successful Arch install and I'm glad you can share this passion with us.
Just wanted to pop in and give another thanks for your wealth of info and how much you've helped me in my linux journey. I miss new content from you, and hope you return to youtube. But either way, I hope life and its many changes are treating you well!
Ehi Ermanno, I really admire your way of teaching and in general your person. It always warms my heart to see such beautiful, talented and kind individuals like you. About your channel, I think it's one of the most professional and essential for every arch and arch-based distro user, really really good work there :) so, thank you for everything, I hope that your rest and job are unfolding well. Ciao e grazie Ermanno
Just wanted to let you know that I learned how to install Arch from your videos and learned a lot about Arch and Linux in the process. Installing without a script or video guide for the first time felt like graduation. Thanks, E!
Thank you so much for your hard work on the tutorials. I completely understand about the work/life ratio. I hope you are able to rejuvenate and catch up with your family. While I would love to see more tutorials, I also feel that your family and job must come before this. Thank you so much and I really hope you have a blessed summer.
Hi Ermanno, I found this channel just last weekend and I want to express my appreciation for your presentations which are very clear, well structured and knowledgable! I've started my 'linux journy' about half a year ago, so this means I'm learning every day and your channel is helping me a lot (it is still a very good knowledgebase althoug the information gets dated). I just now subscribed, hoping to see you pickup where you left! 😉 No matter what: I wish you only the best good spirits and an excellent new year! Cheers, Igor..
Hi Ermanno. You deserve a break. However I hope you find the time to continue with the channel and your tutorials. I tried dozens of different distros until I discovered your channel. I followed your tutorial and installed Arch on my system. Since then I have installed Arch line by line numerous times on my system when switching desktops. I know that is not necessary but it keeps me on my toes with Arch. I now LOVE Arch and it is the only Linux distro I run on my machines. I try others on a VM but will never leave Arch. Your passion made me love Arch and I am deeply thankful to you for that. Hope to see you again after the break, because like you say, "There is allays more to learn"
Hopefully you find happiness in your new job. Have to say thanks, your videos have been pretty instrumental in helping me learn how to install Arch the proper way.
Wonderful man, it's great that you have settled in now at the new place. Great advice on being open on learning new things in Linux. Go enjoy a break Ermanno, it is important to go and reflect a bit on things.
Hi Ermanno - I would absolutely like for you to continue the channel if you're able. You have been instrumental in my move to Arch Linux and I always learn something new with each video you make. Enjoy your break and your visit to Japan!
I hope you can come back and make more tutorials as they have been really helpful and informative to many people and makes us more passionate about linux. But at the same time, health and family are priority so no worries even if you can't continue like before, even a video every month will make us very happy! :)
On the one hand I'm bummed I won't see your great Linux videos for a while, but also fully understand you need to take care of yourself. Thank you for the great content you've published to date, Ermanno. Now "go do you" and the family/work thing, but I'm definitely keeping my fingers crossed that you will do more Linux/Arch content in the future because I have learned SO MUCH from you. Adios. 😃
Hey brother, thanks for your videos. Just finished installing Debian with btrfs & timeshift on my laptop. I have arch installed on main computer. Wanted to get back into debian & try btrfs so your video was perfect. Hope all is well and you make videos soon. Cheers!
Hi Ermanno. I joined your channel in its early days and learned a lot from your videos. Please keep it alive even if you have to post only one video every month or two. 🙏 And have a good trip! Japan is wonderful ... Have fun!
Thanks for all your videos. Hope you don't give up the channel completely because you are a very good Linux teacher. However > Good Luck for the future in what ever you decide to do.😉
Congratulations Ermanno on the job and well wishes for your future! I've learnt many things from your channel and will continue to do so. You are the best linux instructor here on RUclips, something we want to see more of. Your channel is a treasure, more than some people realize. Excited for your future endeavours, and full support for your decisions. Ps. The linux ecosystem is always changing (for the better mostly) and there are already reproducible builds like NixOS and stuff. Would be highly interested if you can take a look in the channel as well. Love from India ❤️
I have always looked forward to your videos, but I'm sure it is a lot of work and stressful. Congrats on your new job. Rest up and take care. You are appreciated.

Hi Ermanno. I hope you have a wonderful productive time off from RUclips, and have a wonderful time in Japan. I was thinking that it might be a good idea to do a video that installs Arch using the archinstall command and format BTRFS with subvolumes... Just a thought.
Hello Ermanno, hard times call for extraordinary measures. I have updated my membership to donor status. Thank you for your passion. I'm looking forward to a new video, as well as feedback about your professional career. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you :-) Best regards Kalle
Could you share more in depth things like the ones you have learnt at work as inner workings of Linux after your break? I have been learning a lot on your channel and I really appreciate your way and contents so far (I am not into monthly installations unless it is a new OS and you share your thoughts about it)... I hope you have the time for yourself and regain the mental and physical energy you need, cheers!
Congratulations from me too. Since we all have lives outside from RUclips, this was not so much a surprise but a appreciated message to the Comunity. I think i speak not for me only when i say as long as you will not shut down this channel in general we will be patiently waiting for new stuff and will enjoy your Videos which already exist. Have fun in your new job and take the time you need for yourself. Take care Ermanno ! Best wishes to you and your Family.
I would like to know how to install an Artix o. Manjaro (Clamares) with FS Btrfs o. ZFS. Is there a possibility to prepare the disk and let Calamares overtake the rest of the installation? Or do you recommend a CLI installation?
