8:22 This is an actual thing that some tanks do. Some Artillery and Tank Destroyers, and sometimes even MBTs have a function where they can lower or raise their back end in order to fire in lower or higher pitch to combat the limitations of the gun's degree of tilt. A famous example is the Swedish Stridsvagn 103, which had a fixed main gun.
if it really wanted to be like Scrap Mechanic, then trackwork would offer just the tire with the appropriate hitboxes (they do give just the tire, but it has a normal square hitbox)... the suspension and turning feels super janky to the point to where I just stopped using this mod, and it felt really restrictive. I think Trackwork really throws a monkey wrench into the whole "design it yourself" philosophy, and forces you to use one set of wheels or tracks that are the same size and function almost identically ... theres no making a double wishbone suspension setup with rack and pinion steering in Trackwork or anything like how you would make in Scrap Mechanic ... I would rather make 4 big belt squares that look like wheels instead of even attempting to use the awful wheels offered by Trackwork to be quite honest - I think I would rather stick to vanilla stairs and slabs over using the Trackwork wheel ...
theres actually a whole community build on this mod. tank tussle they are small community that makes tanks with create and trackwork the youtuber behind it all is qarsan im a part of it they pretty good builders ngl
Fully functional (moving/firing) Titans/Dread's, tanks, vehicles and flyers can now be a thing and my 40K MC battles can be a reality.... once I've figured out all the Create, Eureka and Valkyrie mechanics!!
Amazing mod, love your vids so perfect timing I just added to my list with the 1.20.1 support update. If the mod author stumbles on this it’d be awesome to find ways to compact everything, maybe wheels that can only go up half slab or less inclines. Something more car scaled rather than monster trucks and tanks (and mechanical rolling bases)
A good use for the lopsided track might be for a very large vehicle that cannot avoid being on extremely uneven terrain (ie the side of a mountain or canyon). Having the ability to adjust this means you will be less likely to fall out
What I love about clockwork, and I know is a bug, is that you can use the gravity-gun-thing, get yourself a platform made of spruce trapdoors, then grab them, and you get yourself q flying platform! which can go faster the closer you are to the "grabbing point"
I could never get your car to work with control seat the big one with block wheels the old one ya made love that your using an engine on the current ones
Hey there, so i looked at your car design and added some improvements like changing the speed wirelessly and stopping/starting engine, you should update the schematic
Great Video, helped me a lot to understand trackwork fully, especially tilting the track and getting them up and down, thx. In your build couldn´t u use an inverted clutch thats always blocking signal and only activates it when given signal, works good for me, and for giving it physics i like to use a ship helm from valkyrien skys, or is it wrong doing it that way? Its faster for sure :)
Yup, I could use the inverted clutch but I was adapting a design from before I knew about that mod. Also I try to reduce the amount of mods that I use to avoid compatibility issues that sometimes arise.
hey dude you make it look like you love the create mod and me and another creator also do. we are looking to start a create based server. and we where looking for members and i was wondering if you would like to join.
Imo trackwork isn't good, it's too simple. You can make wheels, suspension and turning with clockwork, and it uses only minecraft blocks. Trackwork makes this all for you, it makes you not think about new possibilities or designs. If you want to make beautiful small compat car, use trackwork, but if you want to play with valkyrien skies and test your skills, you should definitely try every other vs addon but trackwork (Just to be clear, I don't hate trackwork, I just don't like oversimplifying things)
I wish that regular clockwork had suspension/way of transferring rotational energy through ships and the world. Right now, you can't make suspension without more mods or adding an additional source of rotational energy.
It's true, it is very simple but I think a lot of people prefer that simplicity, and like you say it's good to make a small compact car. I do enjoy making larger and more complicated builds however and I have one in mind that I will definitely be making my own wheels for!
I disagree. Phys wheels are cool, but also large and cumbersome (+ energy transmitter spam). Try making 1.5:1 or 2:1 scale vehicles with phys wheels and without the aid of creative motors or /vs scale, while keeping it pretty + having acceptable offroad performance. If phys wheels didn’t have these drawbacks, Trackwork wheels probably wouldn’t have existed.
the physics wheels are only like that because you obviously have to use stairs and slabs - literally all they had to do was offer a couple tires without the awful suspension. They even have just the tire in the mod, but it has a normal square hitbox. This is like if there were no wheel objects in Scrap Mechanic, and you had to make your wheels with blocks (except they have rounded wedges to almost perfectly recreate a wheel, unlike here) ...
there's a minecraft community about tanks that was made a while ago, the trackwork dev and create big cannons dev is there, it's called Tank Tussle if you want
I definitely recommend Connected to go with this because the inverted clutches and gearshifts are simply godsends for more compact vehicles.

Everyday minecraft gets closer to scrap mechanic
Create must succumb to scrap mechanic gregification

Sadly they didnt accept me only because I use cracked version of minecraft. They are so rude
Create: Tweaked controllers is also a good mod to go with this one. It allows you to connect an IRL controller to your create contraptions.
And then some installed big cannons and played civilization 6 with tanks vs cavalry

Oh hell yeah it’s on 1.20.1 now. Was the last one I needed for tank time
A good use for the lopsided track might be for a very large vehicle that cannot avoid being on extremely uneven terrain (ie the side of a mountain or canyon). Having the ability to adjust this means you will be less likely to fall out
Ohh right, you can use it on the fly when you're having trouble with a particular type of terrain

Hey McCastle, thanks! I try to give as much info as I can, it helps people learn

At one point control seats got glitchy and stopped working not sure which update caused that though.
Why are my valkyrien skies building invisibile on some sides when i built this
turn off block entity culling in your video settings and it should be fixed

Hello! I use TFMG too! Can you explain how to charge my electric car which has electric motor and accumulator from TFMG?

nice video, what is the shader that you are yousing?

Wheel bearing: let you build custom wheels with suspension and yiu can decide how large the hitbox is and what shape is it

look up the STRV 103
so for me valkyrien skies keeps crashing when rendering the reactor item can someone explain why ?
Do you have shaders of any kind?
@kiwigaming09 no i dont

what cpu and gpu do you have? i know phisics mods are heavy to run

definitly yea lmao

There was supposed to be something that did that at one point. It was called a universal joint iirc. I don't know if that's still in the works or not.

Hasn't trackwork been available for over 7 months?
Yup, I'm just late in making a video about it. Wanted to make one since it came out but hadn't gotten around to making a vid till now.
Someone needs to add this and minecolonies together to make foxhole in Minecraft
could you make a bike or bike like vehicle or even a vehicle with tracks and a wheel would love to se what you come up with.
Ohh that's kind of an interesting idea
What shader is that?

What are these shaders?

Don't use tfmg since it's engine model has horrid collision with its own components
you could turn faster by using a gearbox instead
How hope they make adjustable wheel size
Wait for Traction, developers make some big updates and it'll be available for everyone soon (probably)
