Nice job. I like seeing people rebuild hydraulic cylinders.
Makes me laugh because it's so simple yet some of our competitors refuse to rebuild cylinders. They will either replace the entire thing or take it to a hydraulic shop.😅

You are correct there really isn’t anything to it. Probably the easiest thing I’ve done to it thus far! Thanks for the comment.

Paint looks decent especially when it’s been applied with a roller 🇬🇧🇮🇪

On the Rollers if you use a compressor and spin the roller with the compressor it'll blow any loose fibers off.
Then wrap the roller with painters tape and leave it for a few minutes then pull off the tape.
    Your roller should be good.

Excellent job Mike! Now the burning question we are all wondering: Will you follow in the footsteps of Pacific Northwest Hillbilly and fully rebuild an excavator or buy and fix six roller compactors like Diesel Creek? 🤣

Hahah, i can dream of more equipment I don’t need! Appreciate you watching.

I was thinking, Diesel Creek is East and PNWH is West so we need someone from the Midwest right?

I really enjoyed ur heat treating info, iv searched hard and heavy to find any videos on heat treating and can’t find any wondering if you can heat treat mild steel

I’m by no means an expert on heat treating but 1018 mild steel really isn’t something you would hear treat as the carbon content is to low. I stick with 1045, 4140 most of the time. Thanks for watching

It’ll probably be fine but I would have went with oil bass primer also

That’s what I’ve always thought but Sherwin Williams was very confident. I am very satisfied with it so far.
