    She just finish explaining the shifter buttons to Roman and he was not paying attention. Lol

      He was making a joke, but she couldn't risk misreading it so she just explained it again.

      Owen Major If you’re correct, his delivery of that joke was odd. But I think he genuinely was not paying attention.

      Hmmm, maybe your right. I was thinking it was an awkward joke but watching it again maybe not.

    • @CoelhoSports
      @CoelhoSports 6 лет назад +2

      that was no joke. when she said it the first time i was thinking, "what the hell did she just say?" but was too lazy to go back and figured we would eventually get to see it how to operate it. these kinds of videos are much harder to make than they seem. there is a lot of info to get out in a coherent and friendly way in not much time without practice runs or too much editing. roman's reactions to things usually match up with the thoughts i have while watching.

    I'm a GM guy but finally...Navigator is worthy competition for the Yukon and Escalade. GM has to step it up....do something about the aging 6.2 liter and freshen up the cosmetics. Escalade is "pretty" but lacks modern day seamless technology.

    • @Name-kd5jj
      @Name-kd5jj 6 лет назад +3

      I have to agree with you and i'm a chevy guy. GM's trucks are really falling behind. The new Silverado looks outdated and it hasn't even gone on sale yet. Hopefully the next gen SUVs will have something more to offer.

      Good job Ford for making the lincoln navigator

    • @views-cg5md
      @views-cg5md 6 лет назад +2

      Not according to the sales figures. Literally the Infiniti QX80 sales more than this Navigator. Escalade is still #1.

    • @Name-kd5jj
      @Name-kd5jj 6 лет назад +1

      Yeah the Navigator sales are exploding though. But i have a feeling it will be short lived. Once these trucks get out on the road and start to rack up a lot of miles people will start to have a lot of problems. Escalade will remain king because its reliable and the next generation will probably be much nicer.

    OK, I have *never* been a fan of Lincoln because they've been cheap, thinly veiled Fords for so long and just couldn't be taken seriously in the luxury segment, but this new Navigator is sublimely beautiful and elegant... and smart move using the twin turbo EcoBoost engine too. It should provide near best in class economy, behind Volvo. Excellent job Lincoln!

    I just came here to read the RUclips commenters who still equate the Navigator with 90's era rappers and NBA player's posses. The same commenters who claim the Navigator looks "too ghetto" and will only be bought by "homies in the hood". Most of those clueless commenters have never even been to the 'hood, and the edgiest music they listen to is Ed Sheeran or Taylor Swift on their daily commutes.

  • @MultiPurposeReviewer

    12:20 "You're just gonna do it (open tailgate) the manual way." *Pushes button to make tailgate open itself.* The REAL manual way would be if you could still lift it open yourself, but that's too hard for people nowadays.

    • @minivanmaster
      @minivanmaster 6 лет назад

      I like the old Chrysler Town and Country where you could actually open it manually with the back handle without using the power liftgate. now doing this is impossible

    • @MultiPurposeReviewer
      @MultiPurposeReviewer 6 лет назад +1

      I grew up with a '96 Plymouth Voyager, so it was always second nature to manually open the liftgate, since that was the ONLY way to open it. That muscle memory will always stick with me. I know because when I went to the Seattle Auto Show back in November, every time I tried to lift open the liftgate on a vehicle, it resisted so much I thought I was breaking it. Then, when I let go, it slowly opened the rest of the way on its own. I honestly really dislike this feature. You can open or close liftgates and tailgates so much quicker if you just do it yourself. Nowadays, people want automatic ones that take like 10 seconds to open, and you can't even open them manually anymore. I will never buy a car with a power liftgate. I know that I'd break it at some point trying to force the system.

    • @minivanmaster
      @minivanmaster 6 лет назад

      MultiPurposeReviewer exactly. Just a waste of time. And the handle is electronic so that will break eventually too. I prefer my 1997 Chevy Venture. Handle still works today

    Lincoln Navigator is powerful, faster and luxury than Chevrolet Tahoe RST. But I don't like frontal central console screen. I wish TFL test Lincoln Navigator against Chevrolet Tahoe RST in towing, 0-60mph, and Quarter mile acclereration.

    • @thomaspaul2465
      @thomaspaul2465 6 лет назад +1

      I would Rather see this go up against the SRT Durango. I can't see how that 2nd row seat would allow for itself to tilt ahead with a baby seat especially not with the baby in the seat. Need to eliminate the center console as an option to give people a choice, as it is a lot easier to walk through the 2nd row seats with no console in the way. I hear kids in the 3rd row often have to climb out the back hatch rather than remove a baby from the car seat to allow the kids in the back to get out.

    • @martingunawan1590
      @martingunawan1590 6 лет назад +1

      There is option for eliminated 2nd row central console. I want to buy this SUV, but the price is beyond my budget. I can only dreaming about it. What do you think?

    • @thomaspaul2465
      @thomaspaul2465 6 лет назад

      Martin Gunawan If it was up to me I would buy the Tesla model X. 0-60 in 2.9s which is faster than most supercars and it has all kinds of seat configurations and auto pilot and the falcon doors are really nice to have. Helps you load a lot easier and you never pay for supercharging so its free to go anywhere you want. Its quiet with no exhaust smells and you never need oil changes and theres no gears. My daughter almost bought it but did not realize how big Teslas supercharger network really was. We did not research it enough. But she will get it in 2-3 years after the Durango unless Ford does something with the Mach 1 platform to electrify.
      Navigator has the better motor over the Escalade though in my opinion. Be interesting to see the Durango stack up to that Turbo and the Durango has similiar towing capacity as well. Likely when you load that Navigator up, your towing and payload goes down. The Durango is already loaded.

    • @martingunawan1590
      @martingunawan1590 6 лет назад

      Thomas Paul I like your choice. Tesla Model X is enviromental friendly, silent, simple and fast car. If Tesla Model X has bigger baggage volume, higher ground clerance (bumpy road with 5 inch deep holes), and 8 inches water fording, maybe I like it. Or I can choose hover car, like in hollywood movies.

    • @thomaspaul2465
      @thomaspaul2465 6 лет назад

      Martin Gunawan not sure on baggage volume. Might be less but ground clearance would be better as there is no low hanging differential. Nice clean flat bottom and it has a lower center of gravity for improved handling and body roll and the vehicle is better balanced front to back. Suspension? Not sure, you would have to watch reviews on it. Water fording you can review online as well and electric cars do it better than combustion motors. Technically if its all sealed it will run under water as no oxygen is needed and the electric motors are said to be sealed but you can dig into it online to find out more. The electric motors are also unaffected in high mountains where combustion engines at high elevations can lose upwards of more than 30% of their power. Electric loses nothing.

    22's are great for those that only drive a 4WD on pavement, good pavement. We live in a rural area and get snow, the 22's are junk. 18's give far better ride on dirt roads and in the snow with proper tread. Just not sold on a 6 cylinder, long roads, many miles and the 8 cylinder seem to do better. had a push button shift one time on a Dodge in the 60's and on a Fairlane, didn't work consistently on either

    It's actually distressing that Toyota-Lexus which still has fixed suspension both rear and front in all of their vehicles, as well as dry and poor amenities in their most luxurious vehicle the Lexus LX 570-which presumably must compete with this Navigator, and you find this totally amazing fully loaded with unimaginable amenities, bills and whistles and all features one would ever think about, still you find so many people go buy that poor, dry Lexus LX 570 and leave this gorgeous truck. Such absurdity is distressing.

It is not like a tablet where you need some place to hold them. In fact, it looks like they just mounted tablets throughout (dash and back of the seats). And I would much rather prefer a column shifter than those buttons.

    With that engine you will not have the most fuel economy in class, Ford people up and down the Internet say these engines drink fuel like hummers. I wish a V8 was at least an option would snag more buyers from other brands.

    I JUST went to check this truck out. I looked at the Black Label and I was NOT impressed at all. For the price, it still felt cheap. In fact, you could essentially purchase a full sized Range Rover for the price which is astounding! The materials did not feel high quality. There were already scratches on the "wood" and plastic consoles on both models I looked at. Really not a smart design feature putting the black polished plastic on the rear console where 90% of the time it will be small children laying their toys/devices there, scratching the shit out of it. The interior felt overwhelmingly just too cheap and poorly designed. The difference between an Escalade and Navigator is still quite a bit.
    I was hoping this new model would step it up, but it hasn't IMO. I'm glad I checked it out, because it just solidified my decision that should I need to get another SUV, it would be another Escalade.

    Push button shifter kills it for me. I HATE that! Free up space fine, then put it on the steering column, what idiot came up with buttons?

    I hope she is not actually a ford/Lincoln employee and she is a third party hired person because she needs some help. She obviously has no idea who you are and it is press day. She also doesn’t know everything about the truck like she should. That must have been aggravating to do live with her. I am sorry Roman. I expect more from Ford and especially Lincoln.

      I totally disagree. Roman was more of a dipshit than she was.

      Yes but Roman is not the Lincoln expert. Roman was just being the normal, goofy, trying to be funny father.

    A Flex should resemble the cheaper version of a Navigator, not vice versa.
    I'm not paying top dollar for appears to be an overpriced flex
