Nice repair, I did something very similar on my MK2 Jag recently although I did it in a number of smaller sections to make it easier and try and reduce distortion which i've had issues with before. I also looked at the price of the repair panel and nearly fell off my chair!
Thanks Andrew, I really don’t understand why some repair panels are so expensive. What’s the point in tooling up to make something nobody can afford? Surely it’s better to make some profit on more sales. It stinks of marque snobbery and greed. I’m not playing the can’t afford it can’t have it game. 🔧👍
I’m not sure Paul if there is a design flaw in how it seals or just the usual blocked drain holes and condensation, like door bottoms go, either way most rot out eventually 😀.
Great to see people keeping these classic Jaguars on the road.....
Keep on motoring....
Good work Steve!
Great video Steve!
Keep up the good work!!!!
Many thanks 👍👍🔧🔧
Clever use of another car's panel. 👍
A tricky repair but nicely done.

Sng charge £407. Plus post. I dont blame you for making your own. Good job done. Ive got a mk 2. And its eating money.
Hi Allan you have my sympathy especially at the moment with the cost of everything else going up 😕 there’s only so much you can do keep plodding on 🔧
Lovely job
Thanks Andy it was a lot of work for such a small area! 👍
Looks good nice job
Excellent..where did the water enter the panel?

Condensation, that would be it. Every old car seems to have a puddle of water in the boot or the footwell.
Great job, looking forward to more.
OK great and well done but you could have bought a repair panel from Martin Robey :)
Yes I could of but I preferred to buy a metal folder for much less than the cost of that panel which I think is over priced 😀
