  • Always a new adventure in construction. Today I'm off to pick up a CAT 308 excavator that I delivered to a job last week. Only this time its just me. No operator, No Laborers....just me. Wish me luck as I do everything on my own for the first time.

    You got it onto the trailer without scratching the counterweight or losing any glass, and didn't drop the other bucket or tamper, so it's a win. No shame in taking it slowly and cautiously on unfamiliar equipment.

  • @Ras7685
    @Ras7685 3 года назад +2

    You know pretty good . You kept the throttle down low , you didn't try and go too fast and you didn't break anything . My only advise next time curl the bucket up tighter and get the boom down lower on the trailer . It was probably low enough , but you don't want to be that person that ends up on RUclips because the boom was too high and you hit something....overall Good Job and practice gets you better . Cheers !

I mean, I grew up on a farm so I kinda had a jumpstart but yeah, I was driving truck and because I was always careful and very safe, my boss asked me to start hauling equipment on the weekends. And so when I was out there with no one around to see me, I started playing around with backhoes, dozers, excavators, and everything else. Just go slow, and make sure that it’s chained down both forwards and backwards and the implements too, and you’ll be fine! I can see that you’re a good driver, so you’ll be great! 👊🙌💪🤟🤙👍👍

    Experience comes with practice. It may have taken you longer than a skilled operator, but it got to where it was going in the same number of pieces you started with. Job well done.

    Wondering where you’ve been. Great to see you back. I think if I had an assigned truck it would bother me JUST a little if someone else drove it when I was off! :)

    Don’t put yourself down! You did great. Like ya said in the end, how else do ya learn it? Can’t get experience by just looking at it. You did great!
