Dauminique, I had an '82 Pete C/O just like that one, when I first started pulling mobilehomes!
It was a single axle, and I had taken the 5th wheel off of it, and built a cargo box for it behind the cab to store spare tires for the mobilehomes, and I added fenders to it to cover up the back tandems!
It turned out to be a pretty cool little toter!...🙂 🚛 👍

Steve with a little elbow grease your looking to have a nice truck. However, I don’t see the appeal in the chapel part of the story with the Ford. I think the bigger story will be a nice looking truck, with great Jakes, Chrome Stacks snd non rusty rims 😂

In the fall of 1978 I started driving for Frito-Lay out of Vancouver, Washington. When I started, we had two brands of tractors: Freightliners and Ford CL 9000, both cabovers. I drove almost exclusivelyFrightliners, but had the occasion to drive the Fords. They were soooo much nicer riding than the Freightshakers. We ran some sleeper runs up and down the coast, and even though the bunks in our Fords were tiny (18 inches) they were preferred by many of the sleeper teams.

O-H-I-O Porter greetings 🇺🇸 I’ve pulled trucks & trailers out of the weeds, etc. You never know what is gonna happen, even with a wrecker. That SANY was almost not enough, but it came through! I probably would’ve aired up the tanks to see if the brakes would release, but it would be a little touch & go there even. The truck does have some nice interior! You had to stand up to see the ground? Those trucks are pretty high. I usually was the steering person in trucks like that when I was a kid. Freaky! “Queen of the world” was the hit of the moment! A google way to get it loaded for sure! So where is this truck going? The trailer is next? Some goodies stuff! It brings back some good & scary moments for me! This truck is probably still a goofy restoration project! WOW!! Blessings! 🥰😎✌️

5:00 last time I was there, I parked in that far row on the other side. With a reservation. That truck stop is a cluster in the late afternoon / early morning.
I’ve camped on the on ramp before, due to no spots available in the truck stop.
There was a cop watching to see if drivers were doing pre trips before leaving out. The guy in front of me got pulled over, right after he left the ramp.
Beautiful area. I love that North Bend area.

The pastor used to drive to multiple truck stops. He was a nice man who used to minister to truckers but his main goal was to help run aways and prostitutes who needed help, as they ended up at truck stops in Western Wisconsin.
