DaaYaMn...that first ram was a GIANT! Congrats on a successful hunt Remi! So very very cool, like, all of it.....the country, the quarry, the remnants of our indigenous ancient hunter ancestors, y'alls superb capturing of it all, which ultimately makes our ability to join you remotely actually possible...very very cool, ALL OF IT. Thanks for sharing.
I gotta say I don't comment often on videos but this is hands down one of the best hunts I've watched, some epic clips and great editing makes this awesome to watch, I hope one day I can make a hunting film this good👊
Pretty epic hunt in an arid state with only 2% public land. Awesome that you got to see those petroglyphs in the cave. All kinds of history there. Aoudad is definitely a dream hunt and species for me, whether in NM or TX. 🏜️🐐
This is awesome, Remi! I found success on a public land aoudad ram with my bow over the weekend & I owe a lot of the credit for me getting it done to you - thanks for all you pour into the hunting community. I thought of you when I pulled my boots off, tucked in my socks, and made my final stalk across the everything-is-pokey landscape... God bless you, man!
That was an awesome audad you got too and to do it with a bow is the best part of the whole story! Me and my buddy met you and yours on the hunt. Congratulations again on am awesome hunt!
I've learned so much from your videos. Best hunter around in my humble opinion. Last year I chased aoudad with a bow, unsuccessfully. Would love to see you go after a barbary with your Matthews!!
That's a great hunt. Spent a lot of time hunting them in this country and it does not get old. Can you imagine if wild sheep could repopulate their original ranges...auodad demonstrate the carrying cappacity of the land out there.
This was an pretty incredible landscape. Had no idea Texas had that kind of terrain. It looks more like locations in the Owyhee or eastern Oregon and the petroglyphs were extremely interesting and the classy looking rifle was the cherry on top. Id love to hunt those but costs are getting out of control anymore some im limited to small game and varmint hunting.
Remi you are an awesome ambassador for the sport. As a constructive criticism to the editor I reckon the edit would have conveyed the hunt better with more quiet and less music overlays. Cheers.
Currently planning a public land hunt for them in my home state Oregon. Very few on public land but we will see happens. Congrats on your Ram man I’m hoping to taste one someday!
Just ordered one of your signature Weatherby rifles in 280 Ackley Improved , it’s supposed to have a 90 day lead time. I am anxious to get it and I hope it’s a great rifle. P.s. great video!
I took mine this last September in SW TX. Don’t let them fool you. They are thick hide, heavy body animals. Congrats on the ram! What caliber did you use?
Nice to see you packing the meat out! I see alot of RUclipsr's letting it go to waste... My wife got her first ewe this year on McGregor Range, we turned the whole sheep into sausage (50% hot italian 50% bratwurst) and it is delicious!!! Congrats on your success!
I did the same chorizo and italian sausage. But I also slow cooked the front shoulder, for tacos and it was good. Surprised me. I took all the meat home with me and it was not as bad as people say. Maybe I got lucky with a good one.
I mean no disrespect, but how do you know the “other RUclipsrs” let the meat go to waste? They just may not be filming the entire process. In no way am I condoning that behavior. I just don’t agree with telling a story that we don’t know or have all the details for.
@@BMCBryce I could provide a recent example that i just watched if you'd like that they killed 5 sheep and only took the heads and capes.... Not the first, wont be the last i am sure... "Texas Aoudad Hunt" Brian Clement... Feel free to view the referenced video yourself.
Hey Remi! I'm curious....what native species do the Aoudad displace, or compete with? Or are their habits, and their habitat, simply SO unique...that they are actually one of the invasive species, that really aren't too invasive??
Awesome ram remi! Congrats! My wife doesn’t believe that noise you made to stop the ram came from your mouth. Tell her she’s wrong and prove me right lol!
Travelled from Australia to hunt them 2019 hunted near candelaria had great hunt my mate and I took the back stakes out of one not to bad to eat .the down side of the trip is the woman handling the export back to Australia has screwed us around ,if anyone knows how to get in contact with Joy Lanham she was working with a company Fauna and Floria out of Houston please let me know .cheers
I’d rather have Aoudad-Big Horns just don’t thrive where everyone can enjoy a chance to hunt them, and as you said everything is “invasive” at some point!
Indigenous peoples inhabited these areas and left those pictographs/petroglyphs. Upon European arrival, other non-native plants and animals were introduced. For example the ibex the oryx etc. Native American ancestry can be traced to these landscapes. Not European.
Remi Warren, one of the best hunters out there. I wish you had more content. I enjoy it all! And a great dude, as far as I can tell.
I appreciate that!
You make the coolest films!
Congratulations Remi that was a great ram!🇺🇸
Thanks
That was a cool one 😎
Excellent episode Remi, would like to see more and maybe a bit longer.😉

Aoudad are definitely on my list of things I’d like to hunt someday
It was an awesome hunt for sure.
Absolutely beautiful country, congrats on the great ram!
Congratulations Remi. Well done.
Beautiful land.

Congratulations Remi great hunt Gods Blessings on all your adventures
free range aoudad with a bow is one of the greatest hunts in NA.
Nice natural voice calling! And great shot. Congrats Remi.
I'm thankful it worked out too. Awesome hunt Remi.............

Looks like the area I grew up at, now we call SE NM home and chase Barbary Sheep/ Aoudad, deer, elk and oryx. I love hunting those animals!
congratulations Remi nice ram , awesome arren country ,

Man that looks like an awesome hunt! Was great to chat with you at Sheep Show.

That was a really good goat call, I need to work on mine 😂
Sweet hunt remi!

It was a .308 they are a lot more stout than I was thinking.
Great hunt. I always hear how bad/tough the meat is. Never tried it myself.
Can’t wait to hear what you do with it and how good it really is.
Is this a public land hunt? How much for out of state tag?

@@BigJohn505 Dang! That’s tragic. I also hate seeing meat wasted. Really too bad.
What a shame.
@@BMCBryce Amen, if you arn't going to eat it.... dont shoot it! Well, unless its a bigass grizzly running at you, then blast away🤣
Beautiful, where is this at?!
Hey Remi! I'm curious....what native species do the Aoudad displace, or compete with? Or are their habits, and their habitat, simply SO unique...that they are actually one of the invasive species, that really aren't too invasive??
they actually compete with native desert bighorn sheep in much of their range.
Was this a public land drawn hunt? It looks incredible
Awesome ram remi! Congrats! My wife doesn’t believe that noise you made to stop the ram came from your mouth. Tell her she’s wrong and prove me right lol!
yeah that came from my mouth.
Excellent Remi , is that Sako an 85 or a 90? Love your videos 🇮🇪
The Sako 90 Hunter with Stainless steel barrel.
Just curious if this hunt was done on public or private land?
I always wanted to do that but found that it’s usually only offered on private land, but your title makes me think public OTC?

Specs on the Rifle?

What scope?
How was the meat?
How were those steaks? Lol
