  • In this video, I forge a hoof pick from a horseshoe with my favorite scooped blade.
The scooped blade digs dirt out so much more effectively.
This is my first forging session since last Oct 22 and in Dec 22 I broke my right arm and dislocated my elbow.. Bending it back nearly 90 degrees the wrong way.
This was my first attempt at forging and while it was successful and felt amazing in spirit. The elbow was pretty inflamed afterwards..
I was able to forge for about 1hr before calling it a day.. Super exciting to be back at it.

My pleasure! Having people taking the time to comment really helps to stay inspired. Especially when injury or just being overwhelmed from lives busyness.

Thanks.. :) Felt great to be forging once again. I've been letting the elbow dictate what gets done and for how long. Has been a steady increase in usefulness since it's happened.

Thanks.. It was a lot of fun.. I forget how much editing time things take though.. Having someone on camera would make it so much easier.

Huge welcome back to the RUclips screen!
That said oh man that injury sux to get n takes so long to heal up. Much positive energy n prayers!
Awesome hoof pick too. I especially like the concave or scooped pick. Personally I've only had one in the last 50years that had that feature! TBH it was my favorite, but alas came up missing at an event in Ft. Worth at Will Rogers coliseum. Hadn't thought of making another from a shoe. Durp!
    Happy Easter Time!
    Blessings Ma'am!
    Crawford out 🙏🏻🔥⚒️🧙🏼‍♂️
