Your welcome.. Really the thanks should go to the people who have been showing their support via Patreon.
They are the reason I've been inspired to process the videos.. Hard to find inspiration sometimes.. :)
Today was the first time I've gotten into the trailer in months.. I'm making some really cool tongs.. Leverage, adjustable, locking.. Well I'm hopeful.

This is great for me, I have yet to forge weld. You were right about colors being different in sunshine, you mentioned that the other day. I was trying to get a workpiece to yellow hot, but it threw sparks and started to melt at orange- in full sunlight. Tricky to work outside. This will be a good attempt.

Both video 1 or 2 is a great way to practice forge welding.. Everything is held in place for you and this makes it so much easier. Starting with 1/4"-3/8" round one can just practice the welds and not use up a bunch of stock.. 5/16" is a good medium as it holds the heat longer than 1/4" but not as expensive as 3/8"
This is one of the items students will make during the class.. Straight poker, rake and shovel.. Good hearth tools are needed.. :)
Outside can be brutal.. Some sort of shade near the forge if possible is great.. Once you get the hang of it it won't be bad..
Something of note.. for the first few years of me forging.. My forge welds in the shop which was very dark were tough to do.. Yet when I was outside demonstrating they were excellent and took every time. Took me a few years and put 2 and 2 together to realize I was way to cold in the shop heat wise. :)

Who needs a power hammer when you swing that mini-sludge hammer like a tac hammer. LOL

    WOW! Just 😲 wow.
So many techniques in here for us new folks to study! TBH very clear and clean drawing I've the edge. Such an effective process. Must say yours is much cleaner done than mine, noting you've a few hours more at the Anvil than I. Respectfully of course. And forgewelds are so clean and as I saw it without Borax too.
On a side note/question? Do you only use coal? Or do you upon occasion use gas? Just curious.
I now have both. I get my coal each year when I drive from Midland Texas to the quadstate event in Ohio. Charming Hollow Forge brings it from Pennsylvania! Great young man!
    Thanks for all you do!
    Blessings y'all

Hi Sorry I haven't responded.. I primarily use coal and prefer it..
I have and do use gas forges for production work, Damascus knife build ups and for teaching some basics..
I prefer coal both for the heat and for how precise coal can be at heating a certain section..
Hope you had a great time at Quad state.. I was hoping to go this year..
Maybe next year it will happen.. Blessing to you..

с таким расположением камеры и мешающимися предметами в кадре, можно было бы просто выложить фотку готового изделия-процесс остался вне видимости.

True, but what is the fun in that.. :) There is a photo some where.. This was filmed back in 2016 and is some of the very first filmed footage.. Majorly plagued by camera problems..
There must be something in the video that is helpful.
