The opening bit making crucible steel with the EZ Bake was hilarious! And I am sure you would have to give the dial LOTS of turns to get it hot enough. Not to mention fileing the spring for the powder.
I was hoping to see one of kitties use their door, but we can't always get everything.
The knife turned out exceptionally well.
Another five star video (as if you could manage to do anything else 😉).

To add there are finds here in the UK that point to this style of knife being used by the Viking traders as a belt utility knife for eating and cooking but they were made of wrought iron and not particularly hard edged, most serious working blades were pattern welded or carefully edged with carbon steel like we often do now with Axes.

Although it does help with the view count. Come to think of it, so does bushcraft 🤣The earliest archaeological reference of this type of knife that I have been able to find, was discovered near the Themes in London and was dated around the middle of the 13th century.
The style with the finial fitting snugly into a curve set into the handle is attributed to the very excellent acheological Blacksmith Thijs Van de Manakker. Hes well worth looking up. 😊 great job on the knife, I would never have thought of fitting a catflap as part of the annealing process 😊
