Man it's almost poetic how they remove Shiro (unintended behavior) and not even months later people find a brand new such behavior that's awfully similar to what Shiro used to be. In the sense that it's something that's not supposed to be possible, but if you can actually pull it off, it does have practical application. Hope they somehow change their mind at least until there is an argument to be made that it's overpowered or whatever. .
agree but i would still buff LH with more evasiveness or maybe faster overall animation.still its a problem to play mindgames with it since a lot of characters have insane quick moves and tracking.....still think they could leave the ws2 aor make any sort of CH ws...miss shiro and i would buff the heatsmash with more startup frames but damage is also good...also nerfing low parry damage was a huuge nerf to steve since he was baiting it in t7 and gets a lot of reward for a low parry read if you had optimal combos skill...
I appreciate it, gotta be careful with buffing steve. One buff too many could make him pretty busted. This patch is definitely a great starting point though.
That's fair. T7 shiro was cool, but it was more on the side of optimizing dmg, rather then another mindgame layer which the lh~pkb cancel had the potential of having.
@@triqleadrespectfully, not sure I agree on the Shiro. It was an optimisation yes but it empowered df2 in that game and deterred their ducking/high crush attempts….which is sorely missed in this game
@MTS_Demon I appreciate it, I think df2 in T8 still utilizes that function. Visually it's not as impressive or the fact that it doesn't reward a launch anymore is of course a huge L. But the 44 dmg combined into +3, or if you're very on point +11 is still really good.
@@triqlead It's still not scary enough. DF2 exists to complement B1. It needs to launch because you get to carry them to the wall and do even more damage and enforce your 50/50. Without this, Steve will never be Steve.
@kushan_tk I appreciate it, but I very much disagree. Df2 doesn't need to launch. His entire toolkit is designed around the threat of b1. It is up to the steve player to pick and choose the correct course of action to counter the opponent tendencies. In T7 it was simpler, because you technically only had to use 3 moves that covered the entire neutral. In T8 this is not the case. This makes the steve player utilize more of his vast variety of moves. This makes him more of a specialist character. Is it exhausting? Absolutely! Is it more satisfying? Most definitely!
Agree, there are no strengths to LH forced transitions, it's objectively worse than we had before. Having no control over whether you want to enter the stance or not sucks, you're forced into this rps situation, which aligns with t8 design direction
That’s it? REALLY? So they basically just nerfed him again. It’s not like we can do any damage after lion heart they just have to stay still and will be safe wow thanks a lot
bro steve looks solid now. the big part is uf2 now an actual move that does something it’s his best whiff punish now. the only thing i am worried is that lionheart still losing to pc. because the window after blocked heat smash is 10 frames and most pc moves start armor at f7 … so idk if this changes anything at all
Even if Steve could use his mix up without getting pc,d it's worse now since you can't mix the guard break with pkb df2 now it's back to the ability to get a shitty mix
If there so focused on making him a mix up character with lion heart he shouldn't have huge weaknesses since his counter hit tools aren't good enough to warrant his weaknesses
He also has to take a risk to even get the mix since he has to hit with you with iether a unsafe mid or a high then he has the ability to get a shitty mix up he's still trash
But lionheart doesn't lose to powercrush anymore, that was the entire point of the 1 frame buff. Now those situations are +8 instead of +7, so LNH 1 makes a 6 frame gap instead of a 7 frame gap, which beats powercrush.
@@ividboy7616 no. you get+8 now and 1+2 is 18f so for a true 50/50 the window is 10f. most pc start getting armor at f7 so there is still a 3 frame window to do the pc to beat the 1+2 so there is no true 50/50
Everyone saying this acts like back in the day it didn't just mean that when you found shitty bugs they were there forever and balance never changed so broken characters were always broken, or that you had to buy another version of the game when they updated it, there's a reason there are like fifteen versions of old SF games.

I really like the left Steve's outfit. Hooded long coats with rolled up sleeves on a slim fit frame and gloves, always looks good.
Agreed 10/10
IMO it should have been Steve's default costume. It's really well-designed.
So you just casually cancelling LionHeart into PKB like that shit is easy. I had to like & subscribe. Can't lie that shit is impressive
Thanks man, I appreciate it

When will they fix b1~b into flicker being -12 on block?
In this patch the main focus was to get lionheart to work as intended. There is another patch in June so will see if they tackle that next
I can hear the pain/disappointment in ur voice my Steve brethren..
The PKB tech was a cool discovery I will admit, but I absolutely will not be missing it. The tech made me miss the shiro combo even more

The strengths are shit. You cant block anything. You have to eat the powercrush
Not necessarily

lazy devs.. missing the days patch aint a thing,, the release day of the game is should be complete.
True, that goes for the game dev industry in general. At the same time patching is a great thing when done correctly.
