Let alone the fact that this monster of a person got away with doing so much-I’m so glad the town citizens took it into their own hands and killed him. The fact that there was a federal investigation is ridiculous, the dude needed to die and when nothing is done about it how can you blame people to act? I’m glad no one was ever charged for it. The Skidmore story reminds me of the dangerous dogs that my friend's neighbor had. These dogs had attacked 5 visitors to the house at different times, two even had to go to the hospital for care, and none of them would press charges. The dogs got loose periodically, came to my friends property and would chase her livestock and kill her chickens. One day they came onto her property and tore apart one of her goats while she and had her two small children were out in the yard. When she went to the police they told her that they couldn't really do anything, unfortunately, because it was a civil matter. "But," they told her, "if something were to happen to those dogs on her property, they wouldn't know anything about it."

Acording to my uncle he made a couple comments about how much he admired the dogs and asked if the man was wonting to sell them. The man said that they where not for sale and they shrugged it off. The next day around noon my uncle got a call from the sheriff asking if he knew where Rex was. Turns out, Rex went to that man’s house the previous night, beat the hell out of him, and stole his three hunting dogs and skipped town.

Most people say they would have resisted the Nazis, but the fact is, most people are afraid to sit at a lunch table with a a different crowd of people because they hate even the faintest possibility of violent confrontation that much. As Jordan Peterson says, "People just aren't that brave." If you throw in guns and a strong physical man/ a man who has proven himself legally powerful and is impulsively cruel and instantaneously thinking up of wicked things, and heck, throw in the fact that he'll turn his attention to your other kids, and has just very publicly burned down YOUR house and killed your dog, and there will be NOTHING the police or anyone can do about it, who really knows. You'd need to choose to become murderer in their case. I like to think I'd make that choice too, or fight until he kills me, or until I've taken away too much from him to make it worth it, but I try not to judge, since you and I are likely just like everyone else: not as brave as we think.

I was a scared kid that couldn't fight so I enrolled in classes. The first time you knock your bully out is ths last time you are bullied. The confidence you get from knowing how to defend yourself spreads to all aspects of your life. You don't fear a job interview when you regularly engage in combat you enjoy. You don't fear setting people straight because you know you'll be in control of the situation if something should arise. It is literally not in human nature to cower. Modern humans are only weak because we have the ability to avoid confrontation and call the police. A couple hundred years ago you couldn't, we waged wars with swords and killed each other in the most intimate ways (face to face so you saw the life leave your enemies). We defended our families and homes for 99% of our history as humans with our own hands. Jordans outlooks only apply to humans of the last couple hundred years. It isn't normal for us to be so weak and that's why when we start combat training we adapt immediately. Humans have the unique ability to train our fight our flight response into fight at all times. Jordan isn't god he isn't right about everything. Why do you think the military can take almost anyone and turn them into a killing machine. The fact that it took that long for this man to meet his end is incredible. You show up on a family’s doorstep even once with any reputation like that and you shouldn’t last long. what a bunch of cowards to sell their daughter to him for their personal temporary safety. Glad someone finally did something.
