A late reply, but perhaps some newcomers might be interested - the kitchen was not in use at that time, because it was being renovated. The most troubling thing about the second story is that the mother tried hard to save her daughter and possibly could have but was dismissed. All it would have taken was for one other person to actually care and her daughter would have been saved.
Wish I’d been working there. I’d have helped her review footage and rounded up help. No way would I ever be dismissive of a missing person...drunk or sober.

The girl walking into the freezer made me extremely sad. You just want to stop her as she's stumbling along. Her mother was probably devastated. They could have saved her.

Yes I agree, however from the hotel's perspective, they are probably thinking a drunk girl that was at a party in the hotel must have hooked up with someone in another room in the hotel. That Keneeka Johnson case is so sad. I worked at 2 different hotels many years ago. I understand about privacy but also if someone is missing and the mother came in frantic I cannot imagine not helping her or looking through the tapes myself. God only knows what could have been happening to her. Every hour counts when someone is missing.
For real this make me think it's only an urban legends. How the hell does the employee does not check it himself ? There's no need to show the mom the footage when you know what to look for.
You definitely couldn't show anyone the security footage regardless of how you feel about it. It's a privacy issue and hotel policy for a reason. It would be a nightmare if people found out that a desk clerk just allowed whoever to view security footage- all it would take is for anyone to claim "missing person" and you'd have to show them because "you let that one lady look". There's a reason hotels don't disclose who is in the hotel to random people. As for looking yourself- that's if you had access yourself. If you've worked at hotels then you know regular desk clerks have no authority and their job doesn't include security. Depending on the setup, you might be able to see the current camera view but not be able to review old footage. That's something usually a manager has to do.
Why install a security camera if you’re not going to review the footage in an emergency. There is ZERO reason for the mom to have been denied. This happened on their property.
Tbh, i feel like this has part racial motivation. How many times have we seen Police not take it seriously when POC go missing and that leads to preventable death. Call me cynical, but this wouldnt have happened if the missing girl was white as it wouldve been investigated right away
I live about 30 mins away from Bridgend. I remember this story being on the Welsh online news. It was terrifying. Lots of little villages in and around most parts of Wales used to be so safe. In fact, safe enough that we never used to lock our doors during the day, only locking them before bed. Just goes to show that society is changing. We're not even safe in our own homes anymore! Not safe in the places we grew up and the communities we live in as adults. So frightening. Thank you, Mr Ballen, for all your hard work in bringing all these stories you cover to people's attention. Even villages are full of drugs, alcohol and violence and it's absolutely terrifying.
@Sian Edwards It's sad. Makes me sound really old (I'm 41), but our communities never used to be so dangerous. It's awful. I don't know what the answer is. I don't think it'll ever be like what it was when we were younger. Truly makes me sad.
The second story pissed me off, that poor mother was just trying to find her daughter. But the selfish hotel owners won't let her see the footage, if they would of. She would of been found and safe.
I don't know why the hotel wouldn't personally look at the security camara footage. Just for their own liability. I can't imagine being her poor Mother. Basically begging for help and finding none.
As a security officer of 8 years, I have seen some wild shit. I've also learned through my 7 years of being in the medical field and then my 8 years in the security field.... you NEVER say, I'm sure everything is fine... you NEVER not investigate something that is brought to your attention no matter how insignificant it may seem to be. I really hope those security guards were fired and that the hotel not only paid a few million to the family but also incorporated new training objectives for their security and front desk staff. That is a wrongful death suit if I've ever seen one. Prayers and love to her family. I can't imagine how frustrating it would be to know that, had they just looked at the camera footage, they could have saved her daughter.
I disagree. She wasn't really a missing person. She was a drunk girl acting as an independent person. She could have been sleeping with someone or walked to Denny's. She just wasn't truly missing. The mother should have stressed the fact that she was drunk and alone maybe even lie and say she is underage.

I did a project on heavens gates in high school for my murders, mayhem, and mysteries class. I watched all their videos, and even browsed their website that’s still up. I had chills the whole time going through everything.
Why did you do a project on the Heaven's Gate cult? False religions, false cults and false faiths upset me for some reason. Two good friends, both Christian, one Protestant, the other Catholic, tried to convert me but the Mother of my children is Jewish, presenting a big problem. At the time, I was later to find out in a week, Marshall Applewhite filmed his death video. I wrote eight pages frantically on why I could not convert by faith alone. Stepping out on my front porch and looking to the sky, there was a figure of a 'Q' in the clouds. It seemed like a hundred thoughts went through my mind, then came a spiritual calmness with the idea, "It is O.K. to question as long as you respect all faiths." I searched the Old and New Testaments then searched my dictionary for the perfect words. Then I thought, "What if the figure 'Q' was formed all the time in the clouds but just never noticed it?" 45 minutes had passed. Then I looked in the direction of San Diego and a second 'Q' cloud configuration had formed, this time more perfectly. Only once again have I witnessed a 'Q' sign but that was for a brief instant on May 10 when a Christian friend was skeptical of my sightings. On May 10 a former member of the cult committed suicide in Texas. While the Heaven's Gate cult didn't force mass suicide like Jim Jones did, Applewhite had a tremendous influence over his victims. In 1995, as a cab driver, I picked up Terry Nichols, one of the Oklahoma City Bombers and he believed an asteroid would strike the Earth, that our government knew about it and was lying to us. Doomsday or the "End of Days" comes from the Book of Revelation and devout Bible scholars have proven it is a fraud, not written by John a disciple of Jesus but by another as propaganda against Nero whose name in Greek equals #666. It was either Terry Nichols or Tim McVeigh who was influenced by some of Marshall Applewhite's writings. Waco, which prompted the Oklahoma City Bombing by McVeigh was in Texas, not far from where Applewhite was from. I have a photograph of a UFO dated March 14 , 1954. I am into coincidences in history. Galello died January 8, Stephen Hawking was born on that date and died March 14, the same date as when Albert Einstein was born. I was born December 25 under similar circumstances as Sir Isaac Newton. The terrorist Terry Nichols was born on April Fools Day, 1955. @@TheRoadhammer379 ??? That’s...literally being responsible though? 2 sets of eyes is better than one. It’s far more likely for a woman who is ALONE to be targeted than one in a group. No amount of vigilance will help you if your attacker is far stronger and bigger than you and/or has a weapon.
I would have sued that hotel AND my local police department til they were left operating a lemonade stand. Negligence on such a basic level needs to be brought to light. Poor family.
I believe the hotel and the cops were involved. She was the only person to die there that nite. The woman claiming to b her mom isnt her mom. Ive been folliwing this case for months. It happened in 2017. Noone has been charged with her death. Rumors are that they use that hotel for organ harvesting. They have a office in the same building as the police. So much more to this story. I wish her justice.
I work in retail and we can’t show customers camera, but I always still look. Horrifying to think she was dying in that freezer while her mom was just feet away
@@kristyshannon3755 What other women? This played out exactly as it would any other time. Why is it not possible that she was so drunk she could hardly walk, was pretty much abandoned by her friends (are they in on it too?) found her way into the freezer and died.
My heart hurts for Kaneka's(?) mother who had to go through all that unnecessary negligence from the police and hotel staff when her daughter went missing. I can only imagine the questions she asks herself to this day trying to figure out if she could have saved her daughter's life. I feel her loss and wouldn't wish that kind of pain or loss on my worst enemy. We all need to learn from this loss and prevent it from happening again. Ultimately everyone is responsible for their own actions. Please don't drink to oblivion and hold other people accountable for you. Be careful out there.
One thing I find crazy about the case of Keneika Jenkins is that she was in the freezer for over 17 hours and not one kitchen staffer even remotely said anything about it or even potentially found her. It's kind of hard not to notice a human being in your freezer. I do feel though if they did allow her mom to at least get information from the cameras from staff, there's at least a shot they could have found her in time. Such a sad story :(
@@flamesgirlable9903 It's highly unprofessional to turn off the cameras there literally because stuff like this and thefts. Whoever did it probably knew or heard that the kitchen was a dead zone.
😔She was placed in the freezer, already dead w/ rigor mortis set in. That's why only one shoe is barely on because her foot is stiff, they can't get the shoe on. She was a sacrifice for some kind of witchcraft. Those friends got paid a lot of money &relocated to Atlanta, GA. 🥀
I still don’t understand why alll of her friends had to go upstairs to get the phone and keys. Not one single person thought to stay with the person who can’t even stand on their own? I have said it once and will say it again, kanekas friends let her die
Yeah I don’t get that either. Someone should’ve stayed with her. A true friend would’ve never leave you alone in that condition. This makes me really sad and angry at the same time. Those friends will live the rest of their lives knowing their the reason she is gone.
A true friend who was worried when they lose their friend in that state wouldn't lie about her being drunk either. If you were seriously worried you'd be honest in spite of the trouble you'd be in for drinking
Then again, it would have cost nothing for the hotel let her mother review the footage... So many people failed that young woman and her mother that night... Imagine freezing to death with help just three unwilling people away :c
My heart aches for Keneeka's mother. While that girl was dying in a freezer, hotel management was calling the police on her mother who was just trying to find her. They could have prevented this, and I hold them responsible. Because of them, there's images of that womans daughter dead on the freezer floor on the internet. And even because of her friends too. You don't leave a girl whos that drunk alone under any circumstances. Not to mention they tried to downplay how drunk she really was. They didn't even find her body till almost an entire day from the time she disappeared and she hadn't even left the fucking hotel. It was like they couldn't care less
Of course the hotel staff didn’t give a fuck. The only thing they care about is making money. I would sue the shit out of every member of staff in there
@@kaciconnolly8855 most humans are between good and evil, these hotel workers were leaning towards the evil side they wanted the dark human desire - greed, they didn't care about her they only wanted money and popularity
The staff doesn't make any money so it's wrong to say all they care about is money. It's the manager and loaner who worry about money not the staff who make jack shit. Therein lies the problem. You pay people barely enough to pay their rent and feed their kids and expect caring service too. What planet are u from. My daughter works for one of the world's largest hotel chains with a name we all know yet at the same time they like the govt. give with one hand and take it back with the other. They charge her almost $10 a day to park at her own job which if you add it up comes to quit a little nugget. Since her pay a few years back was barely more than the parking charge that meant they paid her for 8 hrs then turned around and took one back.At the same time in this 500 room lux hotel their getting usually about 80% occupancy with minimum rooms goin for about $175 and up from there and mostly paid by corp. So u do the math and consider their penchant for hiring help from across the border at bargain rates and what u find is a family of greedy bastards with more cash than anyone could spend in a hundred lifetimes and like Bezos ,it's never enough. I've been on this rocky planet for 70 years and ul find ur friends let u down right when u need them most, usually. Rich/San Jose
"Cold Case" absolutely breaks my heart. But my really big question about it is: How did none of the kitchen staff go into the freezer in nearly 24 hours? That makes absolutely no sense at all. Or did they go in, see her, freak out, and then just not say anything? That poor woman (I don't know to spell her name and I don't want to butcher it). And her poor mother. I feel so bad for her.
@Wiccan Woman Oh wow, really? I've heard stuff on this case before, but I never knew the freezer was meant to be unplugged. It doesn't even make sense that you wouldn't tell a new employee that it's meant to be unplugged. So that throws that theory out the window. I think I remember hearing something about the livestream somewhere, but I can't remember the content, so thank you for adding that. It absolutely just sounds like a set up. But why would they want to let something like this happen? It's just so heartless.
This was a case that intrigued me. I thought at first she was just really drunk and walked into the freezer. But then I took a second look. How could someone be that drunk after a couple drinks? Someone maybe drugged her. Also in the background of one of her friends videos it sounds like someone being raped, there’s lots of weird things around this case, to many. This leads me to the conclusion that she was murdered for reasons unknown at this moment. Police need to take another look at this.
It looked like that was an unused extra kitchen, since it's a big hotel, having 2 or more kitchen rooms are common. From the looks of it that the room was too clean and no kitchen tools anywhere proves it was unused for a while.
Tbf, videos and movies that make me feel physically sick are the scariest to me. Like the movie "Starve" on RUclips or "A fall from Grace" by Tyler Perry where the bad guy continues the sick sadistic shit he/she kept getting away with in the beginning. The fact that the mother of the girl in the second video was literally upstairs, whilst her daughter was downstairs _freezing to death_ makes me feel sick in some way. Then it's the fact that the hotel didn't really take blame for any of it and so, if the consequences are just right, the same thing can happen again... 🤢
Why? She chose to drink, and you choose your friends. She could have made better life choices why should anybody else feel bad because she made bad choices?
On video with the girl at the hotel, I also blame her "friends", one of them should of stayed with her in the lobby. Ladies, always use the buddy system.
Yep back in my university daze, when we partied we never left our friends or if there was a girl too intoxicated we would make her come home with us. One time we saved a girl cause this guy one of our friends sort of knew gave about 5 of us girls a ride home to my place. We were getting out and he tried to keep the really intoxicated girl in his van saying he knew her and was taking her to her place. She was passed out in the front seat and he even held onto her arm as we got her out trying to pull her back in. We said no and the four of us girls carried her in the house. Turns out she didn't even know who the guy was who gave us a ride home the night before and the friend who sort of knew the guy....the guy was a friend of a friend of her cousin and she barely knew who he was. It was crazy and we were glad we stuck together. We all commented how he tried so hard to keep our friend in the van...never saw him around again when we went to parties. I'll never forget that though.
That second story is just heartbreaking. The thing I find most unfathomable is why it was so hard to see a mother desperate to make sure her child was safe and to do nothing to help her. Was it really that hard to help?
The hotels job isn't to babysit some drunk moron. Read up on natural selection. I'm just hoping she didn't have any siblings to add their dumb genes into the pool
The second one is just sad. Sorry excuse of “friends” leaving her drunk, and alone. One friend could have easily went to get the bag, while the other(s) stayed with her. Neglect on the hotel’s part for leaving the freezer open, and also for refusing to help the mother. Also a strong reason to NOT get absolutely black out drunk. Know your limits.
Somehow I really doubt it was as the story was being told. None of that passed the sniff test as far as I'm concerned. I'd say it was a case of everyone saw everything but no one saw anything if you get my drift. Someone wanted her dead and the rest were just running interference. That being said yeah know you limits. I would like to add know who you're drinking with as well. I know people (myself included) who only ever drink a lot when they A. have a ride home if you aren't already home and B. are with people you'd be willing to trust your life to. Being in a strange place with strangers and getting shit hammered is not a very good idea.
@@mattscheib6801 Then why couldn't they find her if it was all on camera? Why did no one check the footage until afterwards? @@mattscheib6801 Sure they found her long after she was dead. That is the point they should have checked the cameras first thing. She didn't freeze to death in 5 minutes it took far longer for that to happen. I worked at a casino for years and if something happened that was the first place they looked was surveillance. A stolen wallet was found in a bathroom cleaned out and they found the owner and the person trying to cash the vouchers all within 30 minutes. That was in a sea of thousands of people not a hotel late at night when most people about are the employees. Also typically areas such as the kitchen are off limits for a reason. The fact no one seemed to notice or care that a drunk patron was wandering through employee only areas is odd. Nothing about that case passes the smell test.
Maybe, maybe not. My homies would stay with my sorry drunk ass for hours till i was sober enough to get home. Hell, they once stayed with me till 4 AM when i got wasted to a point in which i could not walk and fell asleep on a bus stop.
the case of the teenage girl freezing to death in the hotel is just a series of wrong decisions mixed with a lack of professionalism. had her 2 friends not left her alone she wouldn't have died, had the hotel shown the footage she could've survived, had the police took her mother seriously, she possibly could've survived
How tf does hotel know who the mother is? Just cus she claims she wanna see the footage cus of her daughter, doesn't mean she is telling the truth. She could be wanting to see video footage from 10 other reasons.. adulatory, stocking, spying.. I mean who tf knows. That is why they told her they need something OFFICIAL, like cops, or paper from cops saying daughter is missing. Hotel didn't do a thing wrong. Poor parenthood and poor friends did.
Her friends should not have left her. You come to the party together, you leave together. Also, since she may have been drugged, her friends should have stuck with her. If I thought my friend was suddenly acting strange like they were under the influence of something, I would have tried to help them in some way. If they didn’t want to leave I would have stayed close by all night. Her friends failed her, and they’ve acted pretty shady since her death.

She did, and if I understand it correctly she got a $10 million dollar settlement for the hotel not securing its freezer properly, not shutting down the party(which was not legal, iirc, and was paid for with a fraudulent credit card), and for not properly reviewing the security footage. Look up the pictures she didn't actually freeze to death there's soooo much foul play going on with that case. They didn't wanna help bc someone wanted her dead and they stalled for time on purpose.
The hotel and police should be liable in the Keneeka Jenkins case. She may have died either way, but she definitely died due to them refusing to review the footage. The hotel should have been heavily fined and possibly even been implicated in negligent homicide.
@Live to ride Ride to live You're an idiot. They're all drunk, and a lapse in judgement is expected, but the fact the hotel staff lied, declaring the release of the footage can only be done so at the request of a missing person(s) case straight up killed that girl. The friends were all drinking, stop assuming these people were thinking straight. But the Staff and Police weren't, get that through your fucking head. These lazy, lying fucks, got this woman killed.
the hotel is required by law to lock those dangerous areas up. If they had done so it would not have been possible for her to even be in that situation and that is the way it was supposed to be. The number one and only true reason she died was because they didn't put a lock on that door. All modern walk-in freezers have a safety latch on the inside all you have to do is literally fall against it and it will open if they didn't have that they are in violation of the law and criminally negligent

It's incredibly frustrating, but she's my sister and I love her. In late September, she was *wasted* and had gone sad drunk, was bawling everywhere. But we're a 21:00 household, period. Especially on a school night. So I started getting mad because she's claiming to try to find her shoes, but I kept catching her stealing more of my booze like she thought she was slick or something. Finally, she left the kitchen, so I hid the booze in my tool closet, behind the chainsaw. Anyways, now she wants to sleep over and she trying to snuggle with me and my husband and I told her "NO" very firmly; my husband sleeps naked and he's incredibly modest. So finally get her home after more bullshit and my sister begging me 19 million times for another drink. I wake up the next morn and my eldest texts me what's up with his cousins? None of them were in the bus. So I call my sister over and over with no answer. No answer to texts, either. So I get my blind cane and my shades and make my way through the woods to her house. Her (now) ex informs me that my 8 year old niece found her mother in a pool of blood. She'd slit her wrists, she even done it the right way and needed 24 staples. Easy to say, hindsight is 20/20. Without context: An angry mother was asking Hotel staff to use the cameras to find her daughter who was at a party. You have no idea how often someone comes to a hotel, which some people use to remain anonymous, asking hotel staff to help them find someone or verify if they checked in.
Why would you stumble into a walk-in freezer all the way in the basement of a staff only area while waiting on your friends. Then somehow manage to close the door behind you and be unable to open it. Dumbest death I've ever seen.
Why people are so opposed to having a loaded gun immediately accessible (But safe from kids) in your bedroom, I will never understand. She's lucky this guy didn't try to actually smash his way in, and then gave up after that night.

Ya know freezers cant be locked or closed from the inside exactly for this reason... since the 1930s. The fact she died in there is the friends fault completely. Since the 1930s freezers have a safety mechanism that when pushed from the inside the door eases up so it can be pushed open with exceptional ease. That Keneeka Johnson case is so sad. I worked at 2 different hotels many years ago. For real this make me think it's only an urban legends. How the hell does the employee does not check it himself ? There's no need to show the mom the footage when you know what to look for.
It’s KennekaJenkins And Kendrick Johnson right??

Two
good friends, both Christian, one Protestant, the other Catholic, tried to convert
me but the Mother of my children is Jewish, presenting a big problem.
At the time, I was later to find out in a week, Marshall Applewhite filmed his
death video. I wrote eight pages frantically on why I could not convert by
faith alone. Stepping out on my front porch and looking to the sky, there was
a figure of a 'Q' in the clouds. It seemed like a hundred thoughts went through
my mind, then came a spiritual calmness with the idea, "It is O.K. to question
as long as you respect all faiths."
I searched the Old and New Testaments then searched my dictionary for
the perfect words. Then I thought, "What if the figure 'Q' was formed all the
time in the clouds but just never noticed it?"
45 minutes had passed. Then I looked in the direction of San Diego and
a second 'Q' cloud configuration had formed, this time more perfectly. Only
once again have I witnessed a 'Q' sign but that was for a brief instant on
May 10 when a Christian friend was skeptical of my sightings. On May
10 a former member of the cult committed suicide in Texas.
While the Heaven's Gate cult didn't force mass suicide like Jim Jones
did, Applewhite had a tremendous influence over his victims. In 1995,
as a cab driver, I picked up Terry Nichols, one of the Oklahoma City
Bombers and he believed an asteroid would strike the Earth, that our
government knew about it and was lying to us. Doomsday or the "End
of Days" comes from the Book of Revelation and devout Bible scholars have
proven it is a fraud, not written by John a disciple of Jesus but by another
as propaganda against Nero whose name in Greek equals #666.
It was either Terry Nichols or Tim McVeigh who was influenced by
some of Marshall Applewhite's writings. Waco, which prompted the
Oklahoma City Bombing by McVeigh was in Texas, not far from where
Applewhite was from.
I have a photograph of a UFO dated March 14 , 1954. I am into coincidences

The Night shift is normally smaller then the day shift. On a Friday night, when there was also a party in the hotel, it's likely that they had a busy shift. Looking through the footage would for them been extra work. If not motivated enough, they would have left that for the day shift. And they most certainly wouldn't have assumed that she would walk down into a freezer, rather that she was sleeping off her Hangover, or meet up with a friend or boyfriend.
The thing i can't understand though is how her friends could leave her alone. She looks dead drunk on the footage. If she was a friend of mine, i would never have left her alone in such a state in a hotel lobby. We would have thought of a way to take her home or to let her sleep it off in a secure place

"Cold Case" absolutely breaks my heart. But my really big question about it is: How did none of the kitchen staff go into the freezer in nearly 24 hours? That makes absolutely no sense at all. @Wiccan Woman Oh wow, really? I've heard stuff on this case before, but I never knew the freezer was meant to be unplugged.

I can’t even believe I’m having this conversation. Clearly that is what they should of done and makes the most sense. I never said it doesn’t ever happen or that it was extremely strange. Just stupid. It may be normal if you’re one person. But when there are plenty of people there to both go get the stuff and also keep an eye out for a very vulnerable and intoxicated person seems like a no brainer - maybe you and your friends should try being a little more compassionate and responsible.
@@jMci726 I live in the party district of the capital im in, and people get left on the side of the road on the ground daily when clubs r open. It might be that I'm desensitized. But a hotel's lobby seems normal. Ima be more aware, thanks for sharing ur views
I just feel bad for the mother she had a big chance of saving her daughter but bc of the staff in hotel she lost her daughter i can just imagine her anger
I watched a documentary on this story. there were phone calls she made in the hotel room and SOME people thought they heard party goers saying something like "she's gonna die tonight". of course, nobody killed her, but they think they might have drugged her. my personal opinion is she got drunk and walked into the freezer. period. but it was for sure sad. I can imagine being so drunk you arent even aware you are freezing to death. hopefully she passed out and didnt go through it consciously

Yes.
Yeah, I saw the 2nd story on a TV version of the show, but they tried to create a conspiracy theory to draw in the crowd, Mr. Ballin just tells the story. I remember the story because of the mother's frustration and the friends' lack of initial effort. The third story, I remember as breaking news. It was weird, funny, and sad.
Agree with that wholeheartedly
It's sad to think that Keneeka's mom was looking for her for so many hours in the hotel while she was slowly freezing to death in the basement.. 💔
They took her body parts
Still a better love story than twilight
@@smashrugged That's just a rumor.
Look up the pictures she didn't actually freeze to death there's soooo much foul play going on with that case. They didn't wanna help bc someone wanted her dead and they stalled for time on purpose.
@@ScarV_13 they did
The hotel and police should be liable in the Keneeka Jenkins case.
That lie, and the police being neglectful and useless also aided in the death and further increase in time for this case.
@Live to ride Ride to live Okay. That's a really bad case because: Yes, Her friends messed up.
But that doesn't mean that the hotel didn't mess up A LOT more. be real. The friends didn't stop the mom from reviewing the footage... that was the hotel.
@Live to ride Ride to live no. They aren't the "number one" factor. And even if they are... the hotel is also to blame. And so are the cops.

Story NO. 2...
never leave your intoxicated friend unsupervised
Just want to second this. My sister was drunk over here at my house, and she is a VERY obnoxious drunk. I love her, but it's true, and she has a drinking problem that she won't admit even to herself.
Ultimately she was ok, but they IVC'd her for nearly two weeks, and I tell you what, having 7 kids instead of just 3 is a master level lesson in patience lol
So yeah, don't leave your drunk friends/family alone, y'all.
or just dont get intoxicated
Story 2 is a clear example of police racism and the priority of the hotel management being profit over safety. Anyone who thinks the lesson should be "just don't get intoxicated" (ever? honestly...) should get a grip.
As the drunk friend.
Can confirm do not leave me alone
@@grammartrot1917 i think "police racism" is a stretch, it sounds more like general police negligence and dumbassery
Kennika’s case is so sad, so many people at fault.... kinda mad that the friends didn’t really take care of her, at a party at a hotel, the group always sticks together :(
Yea one of them could have just stayed back with her
Its more to that case then this video frfr
@@AshPlaysHorror it’s really the friends fault for literally not watching her, if someone is intoxicated really high..why would you leave them alone by themselves? You do know how intoxication is right?
I know that if my friend was that drunk, I would stay with them. Hell, even if it was someone I didn't know, or even didn't like, I would stay with them just to make sure no one tried to hurt them. I watch way too much crime based entertainment to leave a girl alone while drunk.
@@dphilly1067 my initial comment stated that I’m aware that many are at fault... you seem to think I ignored that fact and only blamed the friends lol

Hotels are jaded. I worked security for some and man you cant really trust anybody with CCTVs unless their a third-party (contractors) or police. At least if you only pay staff minimum wage.
Why would you leave a drunk female friend by herself?
@totower it does still matter because it is a good question just in case somebody does this in future.
@totower Nope. The girls death was ruled an accident.. the hotel wasn't liable.
@totower the police did nothing wrong. Since she wasn't a minor they couldn't search until AFTER 24 hrs.
? I thought men and women were equals
Why would you stumble into a walk-in freezer all the way in the basement of a staff only area while waiting on your friends. Then somehow manage to close the door behind you and be unable to open it. Dumbest death I've ever seen.
The first story was totally creepy. I'd never feel safe again after seeing that guy trying to break in.

Why people are so opposed to having a loaded gun immediately accessible (But safe from kids) in your bedroom, I will never understand. She's lucky this guy didn't try to actually smash his way in, and then gave up after that night.
There is a random ship floating around in the game Starfield that has a group of cult members with "invitations" on their bodies. It addresses the "Great Children of Clemens" and informs them that "The Clemens Comet" is passing through and they need to drink their orange juice of transcendence to "fly eternally across the stars." They are all laying in their beds in the ship wearing the same exact gear. I'm sure a direct reference to the Heavens Gate story, and I didn't put that together until hearing your story on that in more detail.
I would sue the ever-loving shit outta that hotel. I would financially ruin them. That mom was in the building while her daughter was freezing to death in that freezer.
Yes! This!!!!!!!
Ya know freezers cant be locked or closed from the inside exactly for this reason... since the 1930s. The fact she died in there is the friends fault completely. Since the 1930s freezers have a safety mechanism that when pushed from the inside the door eases up so it can be pushed open with exceptional ease. It will be very difficult if not impossible to sue the hotel for anything.
@@jackbuster6553 there is a knob you press. You don't just push on the door.
@@jackbuster6553 Safety precautions for equipment meant for workers/staff has nothing to do with the absolute negligence of the hotel allowing their guests to walk around like that.
Yeah no, sorry. I don't buy that. Yes, the friends are partially to blame for her death too, but the bulk still lies with the lazy-ass hotel staff who simply didn't want to get involved and help. Hell, they didn't even want to show the police later either. That is horrifying and atrocious. And they had the fuggin' gall to kick the mom out of the building as well. Yeah...
