The 4oz is the ideal for a packet of oatmeal and its convenient in the morning for the machine to dose out the water hot, rather than measuring it manually.
I saw your video on the Keurig K-Supreme and it sounds like a pretty cool coffee maker and it also has all the features I'd want, so I was thinking about ordering it from Amazon next month. If the K-Supreme Plus was at the same price or if I have enough for it, I may get that one instead. Which one do you like better?
The K-Supreme Plus easily is better unless the water reservoir placement doesn't work for you since it cant be moved to the rear. At the same or similar price I'd go for the plus version in most situations.
I`ve been checking these vids out for a while and finally got my first Keurig last week. Got tired of throwing away coffee with the old drip machine. I went with the compact for the color and the 3 settings, got some reusable k-cups and the easy scooper witch is a must for anyone with reusable k-cups. Found my flavor level for the grinds and I`m a happy camper. no more wasting coffee and I`m actually saving money on my coffee now. Now next we`ll see how long the machine lasts with proper maintenance , I find Mr. Coffee`s have an average life span of about 1 year but my SunBeam has been going for 10 yr now. He needed retirement. So far I`m pleased with the K-compact ,plug it in and can have a good tasting cup in virtually 60 seconds.
Just was comparing these 2 side by side at the local Wal-Mart. One additional difference IMO is the fit and finish. The Slim appears to be more robustly manufactured. The lid mechanism feels and sounds much more solid than the Compact. Another difference is that with the compact, you have to have access to the right side of the device to see the indicators and access the buttons, whereas with the Slim everything is viewable and accessible from the top. Depending on the layout and space (or lack thereof) in your kitchen, it may make a difference.

My question for you is my machine has that heating element in it (heating tank) and what I want to know does the k mini (with the non removable tank and no strong button) have one also or no?

My gf got me the mini and since im the only coffee drinker it works well.. i have a mr coffee $20 coffee pot and usually just run 4 cups in it. I used to make a pot full and keep it in the thermos but i ended up pouring most out... Soo far liking the mini
I just purchased a K-compact from Walmart. I had a K-mini and it stopped working at around a year and a half. Hopefully, I will have better luck with this one. I was disappointed to see that it didn't have a strong button. That's something I will definitely miss :-(
From my experimentation the The K-supreme puts out cooler hot water on the first cup unless you run a hot water only cycle before brewing. It just puts water out before the internal heating gets to full strength. If you run a 4 or 6 oz cup of hot water on the K-Supreme then brew a coffee then the temp is in-line with all the other machines. You may not be able to notice this in your cup but it's about the same. The water flow is slower in the Supreme so it looks like it's cooler than it is. Just imagine dripping super hot water on your arm vs flowing the same hot water on your arm - the temp will be the same but the drips cool when they hit your arm faster because they are smaller than a full flow.
I have the $79 entry-level model from 2017, works great, makes a good hot cup of strong coffee. I see all the new machines and wonder if they will do any better, or just cost more
As of 5-Jan-2021, the K-Slim in this video is $79 and the K-Compact is $59. So, I don't understand the "or just cost more" part of your question. If you're talking about the full size versions, then maybe a different video would help you more, as this review is specifically for the small, individual styles.

Like the K Compact, my only complaint it's louder than any other K cup coffee maker that I've owned.
