Watch him debate Slavoj Žižek at iai.tv/video/the-game-of-life...
In this in-depth interview, Steven Bonnell - known to his followers as Destiny - discusses the current state of American politics, polarization and the importance of the internet to online discourse. Join him as he comments on everything from the Biden administration to online extremists.
Steven Bonnell (also known as Destiny) is an internet personality, live streamer and political commentator. He started out as a gaming livestreamer but became more politically engaged in the run up to Trump’s election in 2016. He is now known for debating far-right, white supremacist and antifeminist internet commentators in RUclips videos.

    both gaming and political commentary?
02:19 How did commentators like Hasan Piker and Vaush become famous?
03:00 In what way did Vaush rise up through your community?
03:32 What characteristics make for a successful political twitch streamer?
04:13 Why do you engage with extremists?

07:57 How do you develop your ideas for videos?
    08:50 Could Trump win?
09:41 What do you think are the strengths and

21:20 Where does Andrew Tate’s support come from?
22:19 What’s the best way to argue with Andrew Tate supporters?

Agree with everything but Wiki defense. ShortFatOtaku and other people showed how wiki is terrible for political topics because it's super biased towards SocDem/Prog views.
E.x ShortFatOtaku video about cultural m-ism word. You know the one. Wikipedia used to HONESTLY explain what it means, but now it pretends it's "jUsT a ConSpiRaCy DuDe!1!1!". The video is called Antonio Gramsci and Socialist intellectual sphere. He shows how wiki censors facts for it's biased narrative. There are other videos critiquing wiki because it provides biased sources when it's politics

Interesting seeing Destiny featured by iai. Even though I disagree on a lot he believes, anyone as prominent to the left or right of him would miss too many points and nuance in describing online politics. Anybody in the debate-community (like Ask Yourself, or Jack Angstreich) would be too niche, and so would anybody that's post-modern for that matter.

Its not being 'smart' that sets destiny apart from other political commentators. I could go to into a research lab at any R1 or R2 and find tons of people with genius intellect. If all that mattered was intelligence, we'd just have to consult people like Dr. Sharpless for all political disagreements.
Just because you are 'smart' or have a high IQ, that doesn't mean you have critical thinking. What Destiny does so well is being genuinely curious about why people believe what they do and seeing if these justifications valid.
This is difficult for most people as we tend to let our emotions guide our beliefs. Admitting that you are ignorant or wrong goes against our nature as humans and it takes guts. This problem is amplified by the internet where we can feel absolutely validated about our own beliefs and blocked out ones that disagree, making people even less likely to question their beliefs.
This process of critical thinking isn't some radical or new idea, which is why Destiny doesn't need to be a genius advocate for it. He's just the funniest and most entertaining critical thinking advocate I've encountered on the internet, and thats why we love him so much.

'You "can" be a left leaning person, and be aware of all these social issues that affect us without being f****ing miserable all the time and feeling like you're you know an evil person.' This implies to me that misery and a type of self loathing is a default feeling people who go left feel. That temporarily breaking free of the misery and feeling like you're the good guy is uncommon. For anyone reading this who feels like this is true and are left leaning what are your thoughts? Most of us don't want to raise a child unless we feel like we're financially stable enough to do so, because we understand that our fiscal ability to take care of a child is probably going to impact that child in one way or another.
