Hello Luke 🧑and Sabrina 👸, I enjoyed this episode as much as the previous one. Good job narrating and describing the taste profile of various dishes -- important when we can only see but not taste a dish 👍👏👏! I look forward to your next and last episode from Japan, and cannot wait to watch the episodes from Italy (one of my favorite countries, all things considered). Take care!
This one is fantastic. We get to see what delicacies are made and you get to taste them all and describe them in detail, so your viewers can get an idea and a feel of what they are seeing.
Thanks for taking us behind the scenes to see Japanese food artistry in action. While I know that most Japanese value bitter flavors to some degree, I have to say that is one taste I've never acquired. Good for you for trying the sea pineapple, even after having read bad reviews of it.
I have been trying for years to figure out what the "Sea Pineapple" is! I had it in Japan in 1999, and never knew what it was or how to find it. It was the hardest thing for me to eat, because I felt like it still had poo on the meat.
Strange food experience indeed. I've tried a few different egg sacks and I personally like it. I love fresh oysters but I prefer the small one. Great video BTW. Congratulations for hitting 500K!
"ホヤ" Hoya, the orange thing was from the north east sea where my mother was from. First time, I ate it, I hate that stinky smell, but I love it, now. You can used to it. Hellos from Tokyo.
I lived in Japan and loved the seafood especially Sashimi. You two commented on how everything was salty. Duh! That cook salted the heck out of everything. I never salt sea food.
Oh my gosh the size of those oysters were amazing 😳🤭 umm wow! I would love to visit Japan une day, but I can not do raw fish, I’m scared to have sashimi like you just ate. Great video guys
I can't find this restaurant online. Another restaurant comes up that has a different exterior than the one in the video. Could you provide the address, please?
Sea pineapple looks like a pineapple, in shape outside and the color inside. That tastes like refreshingly bitter, for me. It was actually very much loved in Korea before. "Good things to our body taste bitter" says in an old proverb here. :-) Maybe an acquired taste like mountain vegies.
Thank you, just a little more information on each sea animal would have been great. Where were they purchase and from where were they harvested. Anyways, it was fun to see. I'll subscribe and see where you take us.
Hoi Luke and Sabrina. Very interesting video! I dont know if I ever will eat raw.fish or meat! In Surjname we cant afford eat ing raw food, because of the high temperatures (.34celsious). But japanese food, especially raw fisb and meat is very famous and appreciated by.most.people. Nice video. Thanks for sharing. Love you...
Thank you for sharing and showing unusual Japanese seafood. It was interesting, although not high on the list for culinary taste especially the sea squirt, but maybe natto lovers would like it. ha.
Thanks for watching~ 1 more video from Tokyo coming soon then Mongolia! Follow us here : instagram.com/chopsticktravel & facebook.com/chopsticktravel

The red stripe on the flying fish is the blood line usually removed before u eat

Strange food experience indeed. I've tried a few different egg sacks and I personally like it. I love fresh oysters but I prefer the small one. Great video BTW. Congratulations for hitting 500K!
Thanks so much!
That red line down the fish fillet is a blood line and most cut it out as its flavor isn't for everyone.
I think Sake would be nice with that Pineapple fish 🐠 it must have a strange flavor Great Video U-2 & Safe Travels.
Yes sake with all seafood is good 😂
I missed You-2's had an eye issue had to stay away from net looking forward to watching your Videos again!!

"ホヤ" Hoya, the orange thing was from the north east sea where my mother was from. First time, I ate it, I hate that stinky smell, but I love it, now. You can used to it. Hellos from Tokyo.
hmm intersting! ill have to try it again some time!
Everything about the food from the preparation to the presentation looks epic! However, I can't believe you didn't add any wasabi to the sashimi?!
We wanted to taste the real flavour and not overpower anything
Oke now I have hungry 😂😂. Beautiful video. Love you guys.

I read that most people think sea pineapple taste like iodine! It’s supposed to be a very very acquired taste...I will never acquire a taste for it!
Yes it is certainly a unique flavour!
Luke, You guys are giving a tough competition to Andrew Zimmern!
Hahah thank you!
I lived in Japan and loved the seafood especially Sashimi. You two commented on how everything was salty. Duh! That cook salted the heck out of everything. I never salt sea food.

Anyone with iodine sensitivity, I heard you shouldn't eat the sea squirt. It's supposedly very high in iodine.
Nice review bro
thanks buddy!
This series is turning out to how to get drunk in japan rather than good food lol :P
you so right, weird that it is. I must ask, how did they found out those things are sea food?
Man, those sea pineapples are freaky :p
Super freaky!
I mean is it a fish? A mollusk? Feels like it's own class of life :p

Some pineapples are indeed a dark red/purple color, so "sea pineapple" is a pretty good name.

Just amazing!
I can't find this restaurant online. Another restaurant comes up that has a different exterior than the one in the video. Could you provide the address, please?
