im afraid nothing beats the original MadTV. whenever im down, i go on youtube and re-scan the original MadTV. their sketches are just too brilliant and long lasting.
I think Ike and Bobby were improvising some of their lines and the new cast were going by the script. You can tell the different between the casts off the bat.
The new cast did NOTHING to help the skit. Bobby n Ike had NOTHING to play against. Horrible.

It felt like the old cast (Bobby and Ike) trying to push the old cast aura through but the stink of the new reboot is just running them to the ground.
Man, skits like these really make you see the change in comedy.

The real Mad TV would have used something controversial. Example: instead of a frisbee, use an Mexican. Instead of a dog fetching a ball, use a father going shopping to get milk.
You should write the skit lol 😂😂😂 but people Will complain you have to be politically correct nowadays 😩😩😩so boring
I felt sorry for Bobby Lee here. He's a fantastic entertainer. He really shines in the original Mad TV episodes. I have always liked his improvisations too.

The premise is funny. The traditional studio audience setup is good (back to old MADtv roots). Even without veteran favorites Ike and Bobby, the actors have great potential.
The writing and cinematic editing is _bad._ Old MAD was offensive, edgy and gave no fucks; it pushed the envelope and went places no other show dared to at the time with a witty tongue-in-cheek nuance to it and unique style that made one episode of MAD alone infinitely superior to 10 _best_ years worth of SNL. The audience reactions were authentic and glorious, the long, sustained scenes were richer and better with the scenes, not fast cuts after a stale joke was made!
This? This is not a reflection of that. You may as well rebrand this show with another title, because it's virtually nothing like its roots. In a world of PC bullshit, be that show again that unapologetically tells it like it really is. Be that show that doesn't care for verbal censorship make people laugh in spite of all the pain and suffering in the world. Make iconic characters audiences fall in love with and can remember decades down the road (Lorraine, Stuart, Ms. Swan, Antonia, Melina & Lida, Dot, Bunifa, Kyle the UPS guy, Trina, Rusty, Marvin Tikvah, Leona Campbell, etc.)
To paraphrase an overexpired cheeto puff, _MAKE MAD TV GREAT AGAIN!_

i am 3 years late but honestly you worded it so perfectly it really is how us old Madtv fans grew up watching it truly felt
I didn't even know that the show was rebooted for a 15th season. From seasons 3-11, Mad TV destroyed SNL. This rebooted never had a chance.
Sorry but another miss with a remake. New episodes dont have shit on the ORIGINAL MADTV!!!

Political correctness probably means you can't tell "offensive" jokes anymore, like Mad TV used to.
I especially hate the stage reverb in this new madtv and synthetic stock audience laugh track

Sorry, Bobby Lee didn’t seem to care about putting too much effort into this reboot. You know for sure he wouldn’t cut his hair or shave his stache for it.

i grew up reading MAD magazine before watching MADTV.
you utterly missed the mark, dingleberries.
it's almost as if whoever wrote this never knew saw the old skits nor read the magazine.
what a terrible idea it was to use the name/brand of MADTV without all the stuff behind it that made it what it was.
this is not only a horrific disservice to all the fans;
-- it is objectively not funny on its own legs
-- sucks harder than your mom on rent day
-- it should be completely purged from the internet.
i hope you guys fired whoever wrote this stuff, not that it matters now that you've demolished the MADTV name.
