Not really bro. I respect him but The Rankings in the richest list don't care how you spend the money. They only care about your revenues. The Balance sheet doesn't show if the company owner is spending it on parties or spending it on donation. That part comes later. Tata isn't as profitable as Amazon or Microsoft,it's as simple as that.

I'll tell you guys an interesting story, during the attacks of 26/11 in Mumbai, Sir Tata went to hotel taj and asked the victims what they would expect from him. There was a silence and nobody said anything but latter Sir Tata has taken the responsibility of every victims in the hotel Indians and Non Indians who ever was injured or or dead, will get the amount of pay they used to have as salaries for their lifetime. And it is all on behalf of Ratan Tata, he is the most courteous Industrialist the world has ever seen always will to help..

His Staff in Taj had options to leave out in safety, but they stayed back , infact they took some guests out in safety and then returned back to help others and some lost their life. RIP to those heroes.

It took 3 years for the Taj Hotel to be repaired and Renovated after the 26/11 attack. Ratan Tata ensured that all employees of the Taj received their salaries every month for 3 years even though they didn't have work.
Also, the employees of the Taj helped guests to escape the attack and a few also went back in again to help more guests.
That dedication and loyalty of both the employees and the employer.

Everyone loves TATA because of their simplicity. We also saw how Narayan Murthy (Infosys) touches Ratan Tata's feet that moment was really haeart touching 😍. Proud to be a Jamshedpurian. This is the 5th generation in my family (brother) who works in Tata Steel. Really that makes me feel proud and live the city.

I have been to Tata Steel Plant India and there is big Statue of Sir Jamshedji Tata, (who started all these). I saw an old man who was in in 50s, while leaving home he stood infront of the statue and he praised the statue for 5 seconds and then left home. After researching i came to know people do that often, just out of respect for Sir Jamshedji Tata. Tatas are not just rich but the most humble people in India. Everyone respects Tatas.
Not to mention,...Due to coronavirus the Doctors and Nurses cannot go their home and want to keep their family safe, so Mr. Tata provided them shelter in the one of the costliest hotel in Mumbai, The Taj Hotel for free with all services and facilities.
Ratan TATA Sir had humble beginnings and then build such a huge empire and is still someone who cares for the community and not into the RAT RACE of being the richest man. Lots of respect and love for him. FYI:Tata employees are considered the happiest in Indian Surveys.

The important part is 66% of its earning is used for social welfare, otherwise TATA would have been the most richest person on earth. That's why TATA is highly respected in India for sure, and might be in abroad too.
Having grown up in Jamshedpur, I am very much attached to Tatas, They started 8 hr work limit, medical aid to employees, developed Indian airlines, great institutions of india, gave lacs of ppl employement.

My dad worked with the company for his entire career and there’s not a single corporation in this world that matches up to the way The Tata Group takes care of its employees. Life was like being wrapped up in cotton wool and the community was solid. Miss those days. But most of all, miss my dad who passed away October 12, 2018. 💔

Carnegie Mellon university got an unprecedented 35 million dollars grant and they built a TCS hall in their campus for research. There are many such causes that Tata has participated and this short video could not capture all
Even Harvard get funds from tata and have a building in the name of Ratan Tata and one more thing Tata group is a parent, group of many multinational companies and TCS is one of them and TCS itself is have revenue more than 100 billion dollars which they mentioned in the video.

Ratan Tata is not interested in labels. He is a philanthropist and above all a great human being,courteous to a fault. Having worked for the group for over 20 years it was such a pleasure to have met him once personally.
One of the greatest regrets that i felt he could not accomplish was the failure to lift up the state of West Bengal from its poor industrialisation record thanks to the then agitating opposition and future state government which punctured his efforts.
He is the only multi millionaire businessman here in India. Who does not have any haters. The consumers love him and his(our) company. He is the most generous and kind businessman here in India.
