No joke, I was just considering that La Roche Posay lotion the day before yesterday but I hesitated bc of the price. Thanks for the recommendation- I trust your opinion. Also, a good way to reduce the shine from lotion is to put it on while your face is still slightly damp (not wet!). You can use a lot less bc it seals the moisture in more effectively bc you don’t leave time for as much trans epidermal water loss to occur. It feels weird to put it on damp skin at first but you get used to it.

Do you think all the parts of the bible where God intentionally took away things to see if people would still follow is manipulative? Like if our partners or friends did that they would be toxic. Just curious what you think because that's one of my big hold ups.

Sorry for the late response! It's important to note that it wasn't God who wanted to take things away from Job, rather it was the devil himself. The devil wanted to prove to God that Job would lose his faith if he wasn't rich and healthy. God allowed the devil to use Job as a testimony to all of us who are reading his story thousands of years later. God allowed it so that you and I could read this story and have faith even through the hard times. The bad things in this world are not from God, they are from the devil! God's intended design was a paradise (garden of eden) with no sin, but nevertheless we sinned and are in need of redemption. Sin is the root cause of disease, poverty, and brokenness. Since God is a perfect God, we cannot be in His presence while we are sinful. The consequence of sin is death. Before Jesus, people had to sacrifice clean and perfect animals to cleanse them from their sins (the animals died so we don't have to). But this is not a long term solution. So He sent His son Jesus (the perfect and sinless sacrifice) to wipe away our sins once and for all. All we have to do is accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior! God gives us tools and faith to overcome hardships and have hope for heaven and eternal life where there will be no suffering (and no devil). Hope this helps a little
