The night i went with my friends to see Pet Detective, i happened to be wearing the Butchered at Birth long sleeve. All my friend were looking at me, because few of them were really digging Cannibal. I had a big shit eating grin on my face.

I disagree. Listening to this and then listening to Corpsegrinder sing the early CC songs live... Corpsegrinder sounds a hell of a lot more like the actual album versions than Barnes does here.
Regardless it is really cool to see Barnes sing it again.
Barnes always sounded like shit and only gets worse. Corpsegrinder is infinitely better.

Chris Barnes era Cannibal Corpse was much better than the Corpsegrinder material, not just because of Chris doing the Vocals. The production on their later albums is annoying, the drums are way too loud and fake sounding, the guitars sound like keyboards, and the Vocals sound like a digital robot. Especially the Kill album. Death Metal Albums all sound like a totally different style of music today. Only the Slam Brutal Death Metal actually sounds anything like Death Metal used to

The question was about the Greenland Brutal Death Metal band from 1989 called Crystal Mountain, they were called Crystal Mountain 10 or 11 years prior to the Symbolic Death song. I don't know if Death had written the song because of the band. I assumed that someone had mentioned the fact that some band covered a Crystal Mountain song, even though that would be extremely rare. Crystal Mountain only recorded 1 album in 1991 ,and was never available other than import. You have to be Kvlt ASF and as cool as I am . You won't find that some dipshit uploading them on RUclips. Their albums were out of print since 1992. It pisses me off that albums like Baphomet - the Dead Shall Inherit can be found by anyone on RUclips. THE Metal scene used to be just for a chosen few. Now Whigga Jugalos, short hair dweeb types, amd and even jarhead skinheads are allowed. This is ruining the scene

Chris should be allowed to play any CC song he wrote the lyrics too. I would love for them to a re-recorded cd of Tomb of the Mutilated. The drummer is way better and faster than Paul of CC and something about Steve is way better than Bob. I would love to see Jack join SFU.

As much as I respect my fellow Cannibal Corpse & Six Feet Under fans, I have to disagree. Butchered at Birth, Tomb of the Mutilated, and the Bleeding are CCs best albums to date. One thing I've found is that depending on the album that you listened to that caused you to fall in love with Cannibal Corpse is usually going to be your favorite. And that determines which singer you prefer. Does this hold true for you?
Alan Grey I agree that those are cannibal corpse’s best albums, But I think that they would be even better if corpsegrinder did vocals on them. The bleeding Chris definitely does better because he used a vocal style more similar to that on the six feet under albums
Lord Zaber #2 I think that may have been production issues. Chris sings extremely deep and gutteral which lowers his volume. I think this is why his voice is lost at times on Butchered and Tomb but is nice and clear on the Bleeding. Just an educated theory. I hear SFUs Bringer of Blood among other songs and I hear the voice of Cannibal Corpse. I have seen both in concert a few times and they are both brutal, but again I prefer Barnes. I also loved Chris's lyrical contributions and that made a huge impact on a lot of Cannibal Corpse fans. Now to be fair I will share some comparisons where George wins. Chris has nothing on George when it comes to vocal power, nobody does. If George had not been the one chosen to replace Barnes idk if I'd still be a CC fan. Whew! That was hard for me to say. Anyway. George has no vocal power loss when singing at a fast pace. It's just absolutely brutal. Chris's vocals suffer the faster he sings, which I believe is the #1 reason they parted ways. I'm not against CorpseGrinder, I just prefer the deeper vocals of Barnes. A style choice. It's funny tho, I'm a guitarist and most of the time I could care less about vocals. Hope to talk again in the future. Take care, my Cannibal Corpse brother.
@@iaksakkak1006 I can agree with that. Even Chris's pig squeals were good on Tomb. There are a lot of people that say Chris's voice isn't what it used to be. He sounds fine to me, but I'm just a guitarist. What did I know?!. His pig squeals have suffered tho, that's for sure. Anyway, my vocalist said his voice has changed because of those pig squeals. He called it "vocal fry" and said it can ruin your voice. He exclaimed vocal fry can cause scar tissue to form on the vocal folds. It can damage your voice so badly that you can even lose your voice completely. Scary stuff.

Idk once Chris gets those dreads to spinning it's pretty badass. George has him beat in the speed department for obvious reasons if Chris tried to go that fast he'd rip those dreads straight out of his head but in my opinion in terms of coolness Chris beats George out. George's windmill has always kinda looked goofy to me and is a gimmick whereas Chris's aren't.
