Fanga Dan's VZ Commodore was an ex police car, over the year's he has been building it, it has been V8Supercar 'Inspired'. It was not a V8Supercar in its previous life.
As previously advised, this isn't or wasn't a V8 supercar. There is a car that competes in D1NZ though that is an ex-V8 supercar. That's Shane Allen's Rattla Ford Falcon. That car I believe was driven by Shane Van Gisbergen in one of the V8 supercar season's and has since been converted to drift. You may have been thinking about that car. Fanga has always wanted to drift a V8 supercar, or atleast a car that looked like a supercar, that's the reason behind why his commodore looks the part.
I’m pretty sure that falcon just has a v8 supercar body kit, unless it’s a genuine chassis with a different motor as that v8 sounds very different to the racing v8s found in the race cars

does it pass the inspection it is required to sit to race at a official v8 supercar event? it could of been what-ever the fuck it wants to be previously, that is not a v8 supercar
It was a bit more than figure 8s, search red bull drift shifters course the full layout was alot more freestyle but the drivers found certain combinations scored better off the sensors
