I feel like personality and type of death should dictate ghosts needs and they should be unfillable. Like somebody being eternally hungry but unable to get full
Hey that’s a good idea! Some might be hard to do that with tho like eaten by mother and rodent 😂
@@madplumbs eaten by mother could be simulated with an erratic fear of plants and gardens. And the rodent one could be simulated by a fear of rodents. Maybe they randomly catch the plants on fire or the hamster cages

The lot trait game play went about as I expected. 😂 The Sims 4 is such a shallow game.

Sometimes it’s so good and sometimes it’s so sad lol
From the description, your sim will be excited rather than scared from the lot challenge. As in, whenever your sim gets a scared moodlet, it will get a stronger energized moodlet to override it. The only thing your sims encountered that gave them a scared mood buff was the ghosts, so that is the only time you saw it. But I bet thunderstorms, rampaging werewolves, earthquakes, haunted houses, anything that gives sims a scared moodlet would also trigger the energized (excited) mood buff.
They did get scared by a thunderstorm I just took that part out. No moodlet showed when it was happening 🤷🏻♀️ I didn’t get to test werewolves but you’d have to have a werewolf in your family in order for them to be there when they rampage, or have a party on the full moon lol I will check out haunted houses! I just think it’s a shame that it needs more packs to work if that’s the case considering it’s a base game reward. My gut feeling is it’s going to work really well with the new pack, have a feeling they’ll add graveyards to the game and it’ll be good for that ❤️
@@madplumbs I agree with you and its also ashame that the description is fairly vague... like they will get energized or playful... excited sounded for me as ''playful'' instead of energized to be honest. I would have loved it better as ''playful'' since you could try to kill sims having them scared to death = hysterical... they wont die from being energized... its kind of boring lol but its free I guess... I dont see the point of adding this to the game though, I really dont see the appeal.
I think the trait is working as it should. Sims that live in the house with the Seeker Scare trait are sims that don't mind being scared or are looking to be scared. But you have to have something going on to scare them for it to show. Try using the mischief scare on one of the sims. Try coupling that trait with Haunted house lot trait.
Yeah was just hoping for more than some moodlets lol I will have to try with the haunted house lot and see if it’s better!
Had no idea it was a challenge trait. If it was a normal trait, it would make more sense. This would make living with supernats less frightful IG
I agree with ghosts needing a revamp. Watching Grandma gobble down a fruit and yogurt parfait only to totally destroy a toilet (no possess) is disturbing. Like why? My ghost household members were afraid of death and ghosts. Like, girl you can't get any deader and your really scared of your soulmate?
Yeah I think it would’ve been better off as a trait for your sim, even if it was a reward trait or something. It just doesn’t do enough!
I’m hoping with life and death the ghosts get a lot more love!
I’m having flashbacks to playing slightly spooky games in my parent’s basement until I heard a weird noise IRL and then unplugged the computer and ran for my life back upstairs ☠️

I played with the trait and didn't see anything happen. Unless I'm playing the challenge the wrong way, I'm not sure what to expect with this trait. I hope it has more relevance with the next pack. First time here, great video.
Yeah stuff only seems to happen when there’s a ghost nearby 🤷🏻♀️ I think with the new pack we’ll get more use out of it!
I found that, when you have visitors on your lot. They give you gifts for the scares. Your sim will get bored if they don't get scared. So brave trait is bad for that trait on the lot. Got a lot of skill books, expensive toys specially when the goths show up.

You are supposed to scare the sims, by doing scare interactions. It's not a passive thing.
i thought it was weird it was under challenges. sounded to me like it should have been a regular lot trait as it implies to me its a beneficial trait 🤷🏻♀️
edit- didn't realize you could get bored tho- agree maybe it should be a personal trait instead of a lot trait
Yeah I don’t think a lot challenge was the right move lol
I've found using the seance table helps to keep them scared I just turned it on and did a jump scare with my sims it didn't work so tried the table it worked
I don't know if it was from this, but when I first tried it I had a couple of pop-ups saying "thank you for the thrill. Here's a gift." And I got a cherry in my inventory one time, and something else the other. It was while I was doing the reapers challenges, so I might be confusing it with that.
Yes I got gifts from sims walking by, definitely from the scare seeker I think 🤔
The thing is even without the lot challenge trait, sims will get scared by ghosts I think? The way I read it is like if something scare them they will get excited, perhaps playful. but thats not what we see at all... I did not notice but did their human needs decay faster when they had the scared moodlet?
I didn’t check for faster mood decay! I’ll have to watch for that next time
I've been playing a little with the lot trait and the only thing I've noticed is random Sims standing right outside my lot like.. texting
lol not sure what’s happening there! I am doing a follow up on this that will come out tomorrow maybe that’ll be more informative lol

In my TS2, the teens sneak walk gets stuck and I have to reset them. I hope that fixes the scare behaviour too. It could be the new lot trait, weird.

New sub! I just added this lot trait myself and so far I haven’t seen anything. I don’t know if it’s because I have a big family living in the household (8 sims) or it’s because they’re vampires or what 😕
I did a follow up video on how to get the mood buffs! Its not super passive, so you have to actively scare them

I feel like haunted houses are coming
If you have paranormal it comes with the haunted house lot but it’s little specters that come and visit, and you get spooky dolls that pop up. I think the lot type that’ll come with life and death will be graveyards!
@@madplumbs Wow! I literally have every single DLC that came with this game and didn't know we had haunted houses. That tells you how often I play with occult or spooky stuff. I've got to get out of only playing one way. (Been playing this game seriesfor 24 years)
yeah! Paranormal stuff has a lot trait for haunted houses and also a career in paranormal investigator as well to explore said haunted houses.
The more you know right, I’ve been playing since sims 1 and I swear I learn something new about the sims everyday lol! I love the occult stuff, maybe I’ll make a video in a haunted house for this month!
@@madplumbs Facts. I remember almost losing my mind when they were announcing they were making the sims 1 after I graduated high school... and I just learned last week that you could drag plates to the sink instead of only to the trash can

The only thing I've managed is gettimg gifts from nearby sims for giving them a thrill. Doesn't seem challenging at all. It's a flop for me.
Seems like you need ghosts around or to scare your sims on purpose to get the mood buff 🤷🏻♀️
@madplumbs if ghosts are needed then the trait doesn't do anything. Sims can be scared of ghosts anyway. This just slaps an energized mood over the scared one. Sims team coulda done better with it. Thanks for covering it though. Cause I googled and got no info other than your video.
I think once the new pack comes out it might be more useful, but we’ll see lol I’m thinking it would be good for graveyards!
I don’t even have the lot trait.
It’s a challenge lot trait that you get with the reaper reward event going on, if you completed the tasks last week and claimed it then it should be under the trophy by the lot venue type in build and buy
i won the trait but can't find it do i need to move to a new house for it to show up?
It's a lot challenge, not a lot trait.

How can I find it
If you did the reaper rewards last week it will be under lot type and then the challenge selection (the trophy) 🫡😊
