circe and song of achilles are not a duo loft btw! They both just relate to Greek mythology but you don’t have to read them in any order
I’ve been told otherwise! I guess there is an overlap between the books and it makes more sense to read song of Achilles first then Circe. This is what I’ve been told by people who have read it
I read Circe first and then Song of Achilles and honestly I don't think it would have made any difference reading them the other way around.

I badly want those books! 😭 but in my country there's no used bookshop for this reason most of the books are really costly specially hard cover one

I live in Germany and here it is complete lockdown and I haven’t been to any bookshop for more than 6 months :(

Luddites is a specialised English bookshop in Antwerp, they have a great selection !
If my city had a second hand book shop, it would be a game over for me and my wallet 🤣

Where i live there not many bookstores i wish i could live somewhere they have pretty bookshops.
My recent was the last book in Blood and ash and The rules of wolves. And I’m currently reading them and love every bit of my read. Highly recommend

Sadly the US isn’t “quarantining” much anymore. A lot more things have opened in my state (even though we’re having an increase in cases). But don’t worry I’m being safe! It is super nice to be able to have a bookstore so close to my school even tho I don’t live there yet 💛 The rule of wolves Is also part of grishaverse right? I need to get those!!

that's such a clean copy of the deathly hallows! & i found all of my harry potter hardbacks at a bunch of different secondhand bookstores for less than $10 each! you should be able to find them easily cause people are always getting rid of them 🤷🏻♀️
Yes exactly!! I’m slowly collecting all the hardbacks second hand. Most of them that I’ve found are first editions so they are more expensive but I’ll slowly get there!! Super happy that deathly hallows one was is great condition

i’ve been having to order books off amazon because the closest barnes & noble is like an hour and 30 minutes away, so i can’t go, but i want to go *so* bad!! i love your videos by the way
I’m from Northern Ireland and Waterstones (the bookstore) is an hour away and, as I can’t drive, it is impossible to get there. I bought books on Amazon and some copies were questionable! 🤨

I finally got out of my reading slump yay! And omg you laughing made me smile until my cheeks hurt🥺🥺😊 and I got some book recs because why not:
“The last magician” which is an awesome heist books (I’m going to be honest the first 100 pages are so hard to get through but after that it’s SO amazing) this book left me SHOOK
“Caraval” which is such a good fantasy book, so twisty and fun (I finish this whole series in less than a week) honestly if you like any fantasy then this book is for you.
“The unbecoming of Mara dyer” which is honestly a kind of creepy book but it’s so incredibly well done! It’s one of my favourite trilogies, and it also has multiple plot twists. It’s about a girl who can wish death to anyone (not a spoiler don’t worry).

Me and my fam go to this small (when I say small I mean very small) town and there are around five book shops I have been around 2 times and I’ve only just got into reading recently AND WERE GOING AGAIN SOON 😆😆😆😆😆😆LIKE IN 3 OR 4 DAYS 😆😆😆😆📚📖

What used book stores do you shop at?? I think im somewhat close to you locationally and I can never find good book shops I like. Also a michigander?
I am a michigander! I go to school up in East lansing. I don’t live there, only visit for now cause I stayed home this year but will hopefully have a place there soon :) However when I am up in EL to visit my bf, I go to curious bookshop on grand River and then the archives which is a little further up on grand River and owned by the same owner as curious bookshop!

I’m not entirely sure what editions they are but you may be able to look up “Harry Potter editions” and might be able to find it!
But I highly encourage you to try and buy second hand Harry Potter books. There’s an online thrift bookstore!

This is a late comment but ppl need to stop buying books second hand just bc they don’t agree with the authors real life opinions. I’m not gonna have the same opinion as everyone in the world, and neither are they, so that shouldn’t stop their talented work from getting the recognition it deserves. Do it bc u love reading, ok?
It’s difficult when those said authors donate the money they get to organizations that are harmful. Buying second hand from authors isn’t a bad thing, we can separate the author and the book. I’d personally & morally rather not give money to someone who donates to anti-trans organizations
@@MelissaDimmer you do you ig, but like I said, our opinions are never gonna line up with everyone else’s and if we like a certain author’s work we should show them appreciation and buy their books properly (obviously if a book is easier to get second hand then do that) because the books we might love wouldn’t exist without them. I don’t even read or like Harry Potter, but I’m just saying 🤷♀️
I appreciate your opinion but personally would rather not help organizations and authors that want to discriminate against groups of people for simply who they are, & I’ll continue to encourage everyone to buy second hand as well :)

My mind unconsciously searched for book shopping on RUclips because It is risky going out during pandemic. Due to this reason, I’ve been purchasing books online, but, you know, there is no personal touch or the thrilling experience of exploring bookstore like before. 😭😭😭 no offense, but I don’t like second-hand books because I suppose it’s not hygienic and stained invisibly with god-know whose fingerprints on the book, especially this COVID-19 period. It can’t hurt being cautious, so please clean your books with alcohol. It might cause some little damage to the book, but your safety is worth the damage.
It’s all good no worries. The places we went to were clean and the books were fine. It’s also a myth getting covid off surfaces so we’re perfectly fine. My state has also opened up and those who are vaccinated are fine to not wear their masks. I appreciate the concern though :)
