@@krampus5068 thats just sad that like reading not even a page a day thats not a lack of reading skill is a lack of reading i hope u start reading best of luck
@@Colbyw74 Thankyou I’ve recently started reading again!! I’ve read 400 pages in the last 8 days and I’m super happy. All though i am really slow, in the last three hours I’ve read without a break and have only completed 56 pages 🤧
I can’t manage to read 20-30 pages without getting distracted 😂 plus I usually only read at night, but this weekend I want to read more throughout the day
I just found this channel and I love it so much because you are realistic and relatable. You can’t read 20 books in a day like the rest of us can’t and some booktubers make it seem like reading 200,000 books in a month is normal which makes me feel like I can’t be as good as them 💗 keep being you
Haha of course! I tend to be a pretty slow slow reader so reading a ton in a 24 hr readathon doesn’t alway happen 😂 tryin to become better with reading tho, just hard finding the time
girl I feel you. I always feel like I read so slowly and fr the only tip that I have is be realistic with yourself and take your time. When you dont put a lot of pressure on yourself, u end up feeling better about reading "less". And there's nothing wrong with that english is not my main language btw :) as u can tell lol
I’m so glad I found your channel! And don’t feel bad about reading slow. The last time I tried to attempt a 24 hour readathon, I believe I only read 4 books, 2 were rereads and one was a manga 😂
This is such a great idea! I wish I could do something like this, but.... Even if I made it reading for 24 hours straight I’d probably sleep for three days straight. LOL This was awesome, though.
I recently finished a book called the winter garden which was a romance! I’ve never really been in too romance but I was in tears 😭 at the end! It was sooo good 😌 🥰
This is motivating me to do a readathon as well. I've been procrastinating with my reading lately and want to finish these books I have before my Kindle arrives.
Random q - but why do all readers use sticky notes in books, is it for chapters or quotes or is it something related to school work? Every one uses them and as new reader i need to know😂
Personally my tabs each mean different things! For example, the pick one may mean romantic scenes or “spicy” scenes, blue might mean something that mad me cry or sad, green is usually always just quotes I like and so on. I use to HATE tabbing my books because we had to for school but now I do it to help me remember parts of the books. I don’t tab every book but mainly the big ones. I hope this helps!!
It depends on the book. Some books really challenge me intellectually so I use sticky notes and tabs to basically have a conversation with the book and figure out my thoughts. This usually happens with essay collections. Other times when I use tabs is when I know a book is going to be an emotional read and I just want to write down what I was feeling at that point in the book and stick it in. Another posibility is when I'm reading something more mysterious, sometimes I try to track my theories and guess at what's going to happen. It all depends on the type of reader you are and the type of book you have in front of you. In general it's just a way for me to really interact with the book. Some people will also keep a reading journal. This is especially useful if you read a lot of library books or ebooks where it's a bit more difficult to record your thoughts and feelings on the book itself.
I literally was half way through invisible life of addie larue and my roommates dog CHEWED IT UP IM SO PRESSED ABOUT IT 😭 I cried, I’m not proud of it, but I did.

How to read faster : audiobooks... I read 59 books last year, and it was the first year when I started getting into reading again. Sometimes I will do the audiobooks together with the physical book, but I mostly read ebooks and audiobooks. Yes it's still reading, yes you still engage with the material the same way.
