I love that you left in the conversations while looking at books. A lot of people seem to cut their clips way down and make these videos mostly about afterwards when they show their haul, but I always want more of the actual book browsing content, and this gave me that!
I love love love used books, they cost a lot less than a brand new one and used books have character. Wether it be just wrinkled pages, a coffee spill on it or a bookmark left in it.
The coffee gives it character 😊 I don’t have any in my city but tomorrow me,my mum, my dad and my friend are going to a town which haves LOTS so I’m super exited 😄

Leaving bits of conversation about books is such a nice touch! It does add a lot to the spirit of wandering through bookstores and finding new reads or interesting books. I love it!
I’ve been buying used books for a few years now and it’s the best! They’re much cheaper and you can find real gems in there, besides it’s better for the environment.

The Year of Magical thinking is not a light read. Its Dideons memoir documenting the year after her husband past away. Shes also dealing with her daughters hospitalization. Its pretty heavey. Short but definitely a multiple sitting read.

I was so excited to see your sister pick up Ender's Game and to hear you want to read it too! It's been one of my favorite books for over 20 years now and I recommend it to everyone I know. One of my prized possessions is a copy of Analog magazine with the original short story version published in 1977 that I found at a flea market and got signed by the author. Also, I'm a huge fan of the Cthulhu mythos, so I'll be interested to hear your thoughts on that collection! The mythos (that's what the overall universe and body of work by Lovecraft and others is called) has inspired and influenced much of the horror genre, including Stephen King's own works. A little warning, though, that Lovecraft was horribly racist even for his time, but this is something that's widely acknowledged and not swept under the rug by fans of the mythos.
I probably read Ender's game 8x or more and owned the book at 4 different times. It;s probably myfavorite book. Another book, Ender's Shadow, from the point of view of Bean is also very good.
