      That’s the issue actually.

Mad to think 14 years ago I watched my club in person for the first time drawing 1-1 away to Yeovil in league one, to now see them competing for a top 6 finish in the biggest league in the world. What a rise it has been, so proud of my club and what they have achieved under Tony Bloom's ownership

As a City fan, when they came to the Etihad this season, and had more possession than us away from home, I was really impressed, although they lost the game, they played extremely well and were unlucky not to get more out of that game with their passing buildup play and creation of dangerous chances. I could tell De Zerbi was building something great with this team from that day, and it's showing now.

All down to tony bloom but have to give a mention to dick knight, the man who saved the football club from bill archer and belotti. The men who sold the goldstone on which a toys r us was built and no longer exists on the old shoreham road. We may not be in this position for very long so enjoy it while we can

Potter played good football but never managed to get his team scoring a ton of goals with their chances which is now being shown at Chelsea, dezerbi has helped them get over the hump of low goals and thats the difference now with him.

I agree De Zerbi inherited a good squad with the ability to retain the ball and play a passing game but they struggled to score. Now that play a passing game from the back but the passing speeds up in the last third and Matoma and Ferguson have added a new dimension. So now they score more goals and are much more attractive but are vulnerable to counter attacks.

Brighton's model is very sustainable. They are polar opposite to Chelsea.

That's how english football works now. You let foreign investors come, put in loads of money, buy the absolute best players for a single team, the best manager and you expect success. The big 6 will never follow the brighton model be sure they have such a need to what is defined talent now and not youth. And because Brighton give youth this pathway it’s already starting f to be seen that it’s a more viable option to go to Brighton’s academy than one of the big 6. Ferguson snubbing Liverpool for Brighton is an example.

Graham Potter is tactically great but he cannot seem to push players to want to die for him and I think that's because he is way too nice a man to be ruthless as his other peers. Chelsea drew yesterday and oversaw a Chelsea loss to Fulham. He will have to be a lot more assertive with his team, I don't see why he isn't yet if I'm being honest

You're not a brighton fan so I'll let you off with that remark, but trust me when I say the football we're playing under RDZ is miles ahead of Potter's tactics. Just look at Chelsea under him, he's a quality mid table manager and knows how to get defensive results, but RDZ ball is attacking and aggressive, just ask Liverpool. Under RDZ we are a genuine threat to finish 5th, maybe 4th. He's world class and if you listened to our players, watched press conferences and training, you can see it for yourself. He'll be managing an elite team in a few years

Did you watch the video?! The whole point is that Bloom knows it’s a conveyor belt of unknowns who will move on when they’ve made names for themselves. It’s about always being one step ahead with having replacements ready..including the manager. I’m half suspicious Bloom wanted to replace Potter anyway as he’d been eying De Zerbi’s situation and in spite of our position was getting a bit bored with Potterball and the lack of goals. He let him go with suspicious haste!
