While I don't think this is my favorite movie trilogy, the transformations are just amazing to watch. Unlike the fourth and fifth movies where you barely see the Transformers....you know.....TRANSFORM!!!

As to why none of the Transformers films didn't win Best Visual Effects from the Academy Awards aka Oscars beats the shit out of me!

Deceptacons do a fantastic job of Grunting and Growling which suits their demeanor.
Transformers series are my second favorite film franchise. The actions, the visual effects, and their transformations are so freakin cool and entertaining, makes you want to see more. BTW, am i the only one who caught that 2:01? LMAOO that was a good one!!!

Transformers 1 had the best trasformation in the whole series, we get too see it more clear and it's longer unlike the rest which are like a few seconds only.

Say what you will about the Transformers movies but you have to acknowledge that it has one of the best movie effects to date, be it CGI, lighting or sound effects, etc. they nailed it all

I always wanted to see a Transformers live action movie ever since i was watching the several animated series as a kid and wondered how well they could make the tranformations in the movies .But when i saw the first movie in 2007 ,i was completely overwhelmed by how good the CGI guys made those transformations . .Totally awesome .. way above what i imagined ..
I love how we still can hear that classic "O-O-O-A" noise from the original Transformers.
Also everytime optimus speaks in every transformation he sounds like he's fed up with life

The optimus of the movies is an old warrior who has grown weary of the fighting, bitter with the events of the conflict, violent but refuses to surrender to evil.
Seeing these transformations in theaters was a once in a lifetime experience you just had to be there

Okay, no matter how bad the racism and comedy or whatever gets... even hardcore transformers haters have to admit that the effects are fucking AWESOME!! I honestly believe that these are the best effects in film history as of today. I mean yeah Star Trek had good ship battles Man of Steel those epic fights, but nothing is as difficult as animating a living, walking robot that turns into a car while making it cool at the same time. The Driller in DOTM had 70,000 separate parts... it took the animators 122 hours which is 5 days total to animate one frame of the Driller. Even the first film's effects, made 7 years ago, are enjoyable and still as awe-inspiring as DOTM's. Serious respect to the guys at ILM. Amazing work. Still pissed off that they got cheated out of the Best SFX Academy Award by that piece of the shit 'The Golden Compass'.

I grew up with this all the way from 2006 when I was born and to now in 2020 and I still Love Transformers and The Bayverse and Travis Knight’s Bumblebee movie aswell.
Watch this and tell me that these movies don't deserve Academy Awards for Visual effects! This video is simply amazing!

This video shows what you can do with a team of over 100s of people with a large amount of money and time management.
Each transformation needs to go through, modeling, texturing, rigging, animation, lighting, rendering and compositing with each stage having 10s of people with multiple re dos and polishing.
These movies may have shitty acting and terrible writing but the visual effects are outstanding

I know it's popular to hate on these movies from a narrative standpoint but from a pure technical level and entertainment and spectacle perspective, VERY FEW films of the last 10 years have been able to get to this level.

Has anyone else noticed deceptions transform more violently than autobots? Like, they're almost always banging metal and making sparks. Autobots, even when they transform quickly, often don't do that.

Starscream was such a badass in the first one.
To me he lost all of his badassery in the first and second. He still is pretty cool, but he's Megatron's blubbering clumsy sidekick who no one fears. In the first one, like this scene. Ironhide and Ratchet see him coming and crap themselves.

Obviously someone didn't read my statements above. In the first movie he was a badass. Then he lost his badassery in the 2nd and third one. But he was still a badass in the first film.
Leonard Pryor Sam blew him up, then Bumblebee caught Sam and Lennox. The scout played no part in Starscream's death.
