Great information
Thank you! I’ve got some old furniture that I was going to give up on until I saw this!
I just used the candle stick trick on my draws, worked amazingly! Thank you so much.
You’re welcome. I’m glad it worked for you.
From South Africa. I have a lot of family heirlooms that need quite a bit of love and most of the family have discarded it due to wear and tear. Will definitely be watching more of your videos! Thanks for the great tips.
Sanding on its own did the job for me, didn't need the wax. Well presented, thx
Excellent! Glad it worked for you.
Your natural hair looks amazing! Thanks for the inspiration to keep growing naturally. Great fix for the drawers too :)
I just came across this in 2019 , two pieces sitting in my garage ready to go except to get those blasted draws to slide nicely . Worked like a charm ! One of those “.Why didn’t I ever know that before” moments !, TY.
I'm going to try this on my kitchen drawers. They were made by the previous owner of the house in the 60's and they are just wood against wood, very heavy, to the point where it sands down a little bit every time I open them, and saw dust collects in the bottom drawers.
I'm from ga. I love your crafting. your saving from land of the lost. I had beautiful stuff becauseccouldnt afford new. I loved my nieces.

This is fantastic! I love antique restoration from clocks to furniture. I also love woodworking and building. This tutorial was so helpful. It’s also something I can pass on to people that I build/restore furniture for! God bless!!!!
Looks like a fine solution to unstick my desk drawers. Thank You, and have fun and be well.
Google only recommend the last wax tip. Came here to thank you and give credit. Thanks for the tips, subbed!
So glad I could help. 🙂
Hey there from Georgia, this is Alexis 😊
This is genius!!! Thanks for posting this, I'm going to do this for each of my sticky drawers!
Thank you for taking the time to show this great solution. Our old farm house has many wooden drawers in the kitchen and I look forward to using your solution to get them all gliding nicely again.
Fantastic! I’m so glad I could help. 🙂
Thanks for the help, I'm from Edmonton Alberta Canada
I’m happy to help. 🙂
I am looking forward to seeing the finished product!
Oh i love your accent!! i'm in Perth Australia looking for this solution for old drawers I just painted for my baby girl. thank you!!
From Down Under- I love your accent could listen all day
That’s unusual. I thought Aussie’s and Brit’s very much, disliked the American accent.
Thanks, I’m glad to be wrong 😊 I love both, Australian and British accents. I have Mr. Siri, from Australia, on my phone. 😆
Thank you so much!!
Good tip. Thank you. I used a tea light candle but I think the wax would definitely work better.
I would love to see when you paint that piece of furniture, I’m new to furniture painting and I’m loving it. You’re a beautiful lady, thanks for you videos.

Thanks for the good tips!!
Hi Do ,Mary from Tasmania great help and tips thanks so much
Thanks for the tip -came right from the silverware drawer to your video
Genius! Can’t wait to try this!!
First time viewer. Thanks for the good info. Its just what I needed. My husband hates when I go to the dump. I sometimes bring back more than I take. I have even threatened the bulldozer operator if he pushes something before I can get back to save it. Haha. Looking forward to watching your other videos. Maryann from S. Al.
This sounds awesome!
Thank you! Can’t wait to use the minwax paste. I’m going to return the product Beeswax recommended I bought from Home Depot.
Great video, Thanks for the advice. Gonna try this on my antique dresser.
Happy to help others with sticky drawers.
Thank you so much. Love my piece, one drawer, installing runners is not possible at this time...
Thanks for your valuable suggestion, I used it for my all wood DIY table saw, and now the fence slide better! ..a big hello from Italy 😃
Fantastic!
@@DoDodsonDesigns excuse me if i say.. You're a very nice woman 🤗
Very useful. Many thanks
Hello first tile viewer 😊
Great tip, gotta get me some for my bedside table, thanks. xxXX Grambo
Thanks for the tip! On a side note beautiful make up, I am getting older and not having such an easy time finding my look but you are a gorgeous lady and your drawl is darling! Also I would love to have that piece of furniture that you are working on! What a great project :)
Thank you Dee! Yep, we just have to embrace it. So glad you stopped by and I hope you hang around for more. Blessings to you!
Thank you for making this information available. Should I leave the wax as you show if I am applying it to super smooth hardwoods? But he the runners and the drawer bottoms are near polished.
I LOVE your hair!!
Hi pretty lady. austin Texas here.
Thank you for all the tips. 🙏
Hey neighbor!
Thank you!! Just bought a 5 drawer wood on wood dresser and excited to use on the drawers that are very sticky!
I’m so glad I could help.
Thanks for the advise on the was

Looking forward to how best to fix my old bureaus.
Going to try this on our kitchen cabinet drawers. Hopefully they will stop shedding sawdust on the lower pots and pans.
Hi there, came across this video when looking for this kind of solution. Thabks for putting this out there. Follow-up question: will you need to occasionally reapply the wax over time? If so, approximately how long before you need to reapply? Thanks!
Awesome hack thanks.
Is there a reason why you did 3 edges not just the 2 slide edges left and right, the ones that actually touch the slider edges under the drawer?
Isn't coating the back one the same as coating the front edge which doesn't slide at all?
I instantly used this hack with an old bar of soap I couldn't think why I kept from a hotel new 20 years ago lol
It depends on the piece. There’s no reason why you can’t apply it to the sides too.
Thanks for this
What grit of sanding paper would you recommend?
hello great channel. i just joined. will this method work for a single desk drawer, that has one wooden track on desk frame, and metal slide attached to bottom of drawer? or
Thanks Do just what i wanted to know
You are so pretty and I just love your hair!!! Thank you for the video. I have a couple of dressers that have super tight drawers.
You're so welcome, Ms Cynthia!
Thank You for the info, bought a lovely wooden antique dresser last week and the drawers stick. I especially want to improve this since I live in Florida. 🦩 Pearl from Jacksonville
How long does it last?
Hi I'm friend from New York
Me too!!!! Castaways. Concord, California.
Love…love…love this product. I use this on wood in place of polyurethane…😊
Yes! I makes an excellent topcoat on wood. Dries hard and it’s super durable.
Thankyou Thankyou thankyou!!
Hello from California
Thanks
What are the ingredients of this product? I want to find a matching product locally of a different brand, and suspect that a number of finishing pastes could be referred to as "wax". I failed to do lubrication with a candle and tried machine oil, but am not satisfied with the result.
Can I use the Minwax lacquer shine finish on the drawer glide area..its super raw wood
Hi Kelly, I've never used that product so I'm not sure. Wax can be used on raw wood too. But if you plan on finishing the wood, apply the wax after it's done. Hope this helps.
Hello I am from Nampa Idaho. I want to know how to use oxalic acid to lighten up wood.
3:08 Is where it starts
I'm learning
How often do you do this?
Hi ive tried all that no luck i think the wood has swollen drawer fronts seem to be sitting on each other(im in the uk)
I've got sticky drawers... oh, wait... THOSE sitcky drawers.
Ok, I've got a bunch of antiuque/vintage dressers that I can't/don't want to move... so, I got some Howards' Feed-n-Wax to use indoors w/o 'adequate ventalation'..
As opposed to the old Svenska 'bar-a-soap' method, I'm trying it.
The min-wax is oil based (my usual go-to) this jizz is edible (DO NOT EAT). . . gonna see how long it's efficacy really is. I'd say that I'll report back, but I won't.
IMNSHO, go with oil if you can.
IMHO Minwax is most long-standing durable finish. I have wooden drawer slides I’ve used it on 15 years ago and have not ever reapplied. They continue to glide like a dream. 🙂
I wonder how often you have to do it? Very good and helpful video. Thanks.
The wax will dry hard and you shouldn’t have to do it but once.
will this work on drawers that have no side slider just a notch down the middle that slides on a wooden piece attached to the cabinet frame?
Yes, waxing the wood on wood will make the wood glide without dragging.
Question- Will it stay on or melt off if the heat is extreme like Texas? I have a teak potting bench with drawers. I can’t open them due to this exact issue. lol
No, the wax adsorbs into the wood and creates a barrier. I live in Texas too and haven’t had that issue.
Thanks!!!
You’re welcome.
Im from Ala.Ive got an old dresser thats really hard to open.Picked it up at a Thrift Store for 20.00.Looks very old with the skeleton key locks.
Hi, I’m Nancy, from Niagara Falls
I have an older dresser with drawers that flop open when you open it.
Thank you. I am searching for wooden drawer lubricant. I cannot find Minmax in Taipei. May I use beewax instead?
Absolutely. You can also try using an old candle and rub the slides of the drawers.
@@DoDodsonDesigns Thank you so much! You replay fast and provide alternative solutions. I have some old candles and may try it now. My Aunty shall be able to open them easier in the future! You are my angel!
Beautiful lady.

what grit sandpaper do you use? Like 150?
I like 220 grit.
Was it wrong when I heard using petroleum jelly works well, also? Doesn’t the wax cure after 30 days, does it still work will after that?
I would not use petroleum jelly. This wax dries super hard and I have even used it to finish furniture. Yes, 30 days but you can use the drawers after the first day.
@@DoDodsonDesigns thank you for clearing that up for me. I’m getting ready to do this and it’s my very first piece. I have lots of questions! 💕
Texas, no runners on drawer of clothes closet
can this go over to something thats painted?
Joseth Baines I have used this in the past over chalky based paints as a sealer.
I think we’d be great friends. Cherryfield Maine
If you still want to make videos then I think you would benefit by seeing how to make a really good one. You have good information. And, you have a pleasant way of talking about your product. But, "cut to the chase". People don't want to watch while you say "Hi" to your friends. And, if you are going to talk about making drawers slide better then talk about that, not a bunch of other subjects. Good luck. Hope to see you do more.
She said hi everyone, then she went on to the subject. Relax.
can this be used when the drawers have been painted
Jillian Smith Morrison no, it’s best used on bare wood.
@@DoDodsonDesigns But you say to paint first, then use the Minwax. ?? Thank you, if you reply
@@jackiej5319 I like to paint my piece first. If you accidentally get the wax on the wood that you're going to paint, it will not adhere. This wax is water repellent. Does that make sense?
can i use this on my wood?
If it's made from trees, yes that's the point 😂
@@mgrdigimarketing3035 i wish you would have replied sooner, i went aheaf and used it on my penis and it caused a brutal burn

Hello 😊
Never use 10 words when three thousand will do. Good advice - eventually!
Awe, thank you for being so kind. 😘
Hopefully your new videos don’t go from one thing to another, let’s get to the unsticking of the drawers! Geeeeesssshhhhh
Wow! Here in Texas, that’s called being rude when someone is trying to help you.

I miss you, were are you? 😘

The smell will fade away after it’s dried.
