How is this women not a Diva? I have seen her live maybe 10 times. I was mesmerized and paralyzed. This woman has some amazing pipes. She is in my top 2 or 3 ever. I have seen Mariah Carey, Celine, Adele, Streisand, Aretha, Whitney etc. and she can hold her own with anyone. She deserves just as much attention as any of these other singers. I saw her sing at the Kennedy Center honors in a tribute to Led Zeppelin and it was probably the best show that the Kennedy Center ever had. That’s enough. She is one of my all time favorites!!!
Quite frankly, Z, I think she was always criticized for her weight. I saw her and heart in Albuquerque right when the self-titled album came out. She held my attention the entire night.
Yeahhh still very good, but her voice is far from as strong as ever. Based on how it sounds, she was probably just naturally falling into some of the techniques that gave her such a great voice, but likely had no coach or a poor coach to teach her how to sing how she did while preserving it. This is the voice of someone who spent a couple decades belting it 24/7 but found out too late what damage that could do. A lot of quality rock singers from the 70s and 80s are like that now, back then you couldn't find many vocal coaches outside of opera who knew how to handle voices like theirs with the sounds they wanted to make so a lot of rock singers pushed their voices to the limit for amazing vocals and 20-30 years later they can carry a tune and have a decent voice but sound like they picked up a pack a day smoking habit for about 15 years somewhere.
Mid 1970s I saw Jefferson Starship at the Forum in LA. Heart was the warm up band. One year later we saw Heart at the Forum and the warm up was none other than Sammy Hagar. Awesome shows. It's been a good life.
Yep. Book way ahead as soon. as the tickets are announced and book at least two tickets to take your friends along to share the memories with. Thats what I did with this gig.
It’s amazing to me to see how completely enraptured the audience is during this song. It’s one thing to sing the song well, but quite another to hold an audience spellbound, and hanging on every note, as they are in this video. There aren’t many singers that can do it the way Ann Wilson can with this song. If any singer has ever “owned” a song they didn’t write, Ann Wilson owns Alone.
You'd better believe it. Thats exactly what it was like. The Hall is a very special venue with its own energy anyway, but that night, man. Unreal. I'd bought tickets as soon as they were announced the previous year. This had been the one realistic chance I was going to get to see Heart since the Bad Animals tour in the UK in the late 80s. No way I was going to miss it.
My favorite song and favorite live version I listen to it multiple times a day in the car. My kids all know it word for word spreading the love of Heart to kids in 2024. ❤
Mathias Forslund , they are / were great vocalists, Janis more for her tone, Stevie also unique. I just think this lady hits the perfect pitch every time on every song.
sorry but I was a huge Janis Joplin fan and saw her live at Filmore West in 1969....but she was no where even near the talent of Ann Wilson....sorry if that is offensive, but it is my reality

Ann is a VOCAL PHENOM and still is...!!! She has done a MARVELOUS job of preserving her voice over the years. Not something a lot of singers can truthfully say the same. And i'm a singer myself so i have an ear for this sort of thing folks. She truly is unbelievable.
Interesting you'd like a scream. The trend in music is for singers to be losing their voice by 30, kids following closely, because of voice straining vocal trends.

@@kylebeach6799 Yeah, but they are laughing all the way to the bank!!
One of the greats
Mid 1970s I saw Jefferson Starship at the Forum in LA. Heart was the warm up band. One year later we saw Heart at the Forum and the warm up was none other than Sammy Hagar. Awesome shows. It's been a good life.
She hits an F Sharp in the second pre chorus which is just UNREAL, Best to ever do it, Long live the Sisters of rock 😍
I don't know music enough to recognize the notes, but I will take your word for it!
Hi again, can you give me a timestamp of when she hits the F sharp. If you would be so kind, I would appreciate it.

@@Flickymcbean825 Thanks. My mom taught music, but I didn't have much interest in it.
I love how she loads up for it.
One of the best female vocalist in the World...
agreed
One of? Hell, she's the best, and not just "female".
@@deeoh1 : I'm french, my english is NOT perfect !
Everytime, listening Stairway to heaven ! I agreed
Lindas love😍
Wow this version with a philharmonic is out of this world
For me These Women are the OG of Rock, from pure raw talent and no frills, no fashion line or Lipstick Brand etc Just them and their God Given Talent!
Audience so lucky to witness this kind of performance.
Amen!
Truly
Yep. Book way ahead as soon. as the tickets are announced and book at least two tickets to take your friends along to share the memories with. Thats what I did with this gig.
the original is superb but this with the orchestra takes it to a higher level magnificent
Hard to believe this was categorized as rock! Amazing!
Especially at have speed as the original, which I thought was too rushed!
this is my favorite version of this song....i even had a you tuber drummer cover it (studio version).... ruclips.net/video/EGX5fUNmgrw/видео.html
The original is a cover ... superb cover.
@@ilkeadrall710 who did the original
It’s amazing to me to see how completely enraptured the audience is during this song. It’s one thing to sing the song well, but quite another to hold an audience spellbound, and hanging on every note, as they are in this video. There aren’t many singers that can do it the way Ann Wilson can with this song. If any singer has ever “owned” a song they didn’t write, Ann Wilson owns Alone.
some of you guys responses on you tube are pure raw poetry. i wish i had your way with words and thoughts.
Best part 1:16! The small curve in tone really hits me every time! 🥹
Tears in my eyes, chills throughout my body…these women are amazing.
My favorite song and favorite live version I listen to it multiple times a day in the car. My kids all know it word for word spreading the love of Heart to kids in 2024. ❤
the greatest female voice in rock history
Jay Spears I agree mate
Maybe, dont forget Stevie Nicks and Janis Joplin
Mathias Forslund , they are / were great vocalists, Janis more for her tone, Stevie also unique.
I just think this lady hits the perfect pitch every time on every song.
sorry but I was a huge Janis Joplin fan and saw her live at Filmore West in 1969....but she was no where even near the talent of Ann Wilson....sorry if that is offensive, but it is my reality
Aussie Bantam we have to include Pat Benetar in this list
Deine Lieder sind so berührend und einfach immer schön. Danke dafür, du begleitest mich schon seit meinem 14.Lebensjahr.Und immer noch bin ich dein größter Fan.
Alles Liebe ❤❤❤❤
No other voice on the planet like yours Ann.....we love you !!!❤❤❤❤❤
The woman in the crowd at 1:20 generates a tear in my eye. Genuine emotion.
absolutely! i had to rewind that spot a few times the first time i saw this vid
Yup her expression sums it all up. Wow what a performance
Too true.
She looks lovely too.
Brian Daniels that moment is one of my top all time moments, rewound so many times absolutely stunning
It really has been a blessing to have been alive while these EXTREMELY talented ladies rocked! The best female vocalist of all time! Hands down!
KeenCrafting absolutely I saw them in 70’s live what a show
yeah but not me,its just follow me every moment, style, the way im doing only that bitches want money to those who playing games wit me
Ann is a VOCAL PHENOM and still is...!!! She has done a MARVELOUS job of preserving her voice over the years. Not something a lot of singers can truthfully say the same. And i'm a singer myself so i have an ear for this sort of thing folks. She truly is unbelievable.
Yes you my friend, you are who reading this, you've got some really classy musical taste right there!
Im a big fan of trap music and rap and garbage shit, but heart will always be one of my favorite bands
🤗❤️
Thanks needed to hear that👍🏼👏🏼😂
Same to you my friend.
Lovely..
No auto-tune crap. No pretention. Just pure talent.
big 5 stars for this regards from Robert in Newcastle Australia
The scream is one of the great moments in female rock. Ann is a rock goddess. And Nancy is just so beautiful and such a great musician.
Interesting you'd like a scream. The trend in music is for singers to be losing their voice by 30, kids following closely, because of voice straining vocal trends.
@@americangirl7595 saw them three times in one year in 87. The love between the sisters was incredible...I hope they have their family stuff worked out
It’s not a scream...it’s known as the note.
Heart ..... One Of Best Female Vocal Bands......
From my childhood days up to now they are still the best 2024......
She is the real deal, this women can really sing, one in a million! What a performer....
Fabulous, one of the best songs ever.
Oh the memories. Still sounds amazing!
Yes but Carrie Underwood.... who knew?!!!
Yes. Sweet 80s. This was one of, and will always be one of the classics- beautiful music, strong lyrics.
GOD, her voice always gives me goosebumps. What a tremendous vocalist, what a band♥️
Mom, this June 2nd would be 10 years since you've been gone.
" Heart, " was her favorite Rock band of the 80s. Grew up listening to them with her.
Love your music "Heart ",
Miss you always mom...
Nick, from Trinidad and Tobago.
this is the same date as my birthday brother... i always listen to all my heart albums all day long. i'll play it for your mom extra loud!
Mate.. your not alone .. you have us the RUclips community.. take care x
Unbelievable that voice didn't age a bit❤. I love their music since starting really listening to popmusic back in 1976, when there was Magic Man🎶🎵👌
Outstanding vocals
The girls face at 1.18 touched my spirit
It's a very sweet moment, she looks so enchanted to hear them perform.
She has an incredible voice and it’s held up amazingly well for someone in her 60s
Goosebumps in 2022. Never seen before but sung with such passion and feelings. Can't believe how old these women are but how well they sing.
And it chills me to the bone…..just listening to these two perform. Amazing!
One of the greatest voices in Rock history. Unbelievable voice
Protect Ann Wilson at all cost!
She is a treasure. Legend.
