Helluva boss figuring out that their ultimate formula is just letting Bryce sing every episode because he nails it every damn time. I love this song so much!
It is so funny to me that Vortex is here. He met Blitzø twice, he's just here because it's his job. And apparently his job involves joining in on musical numbers.
Well, yeah, but he’s also Verosika’s bodyguard and as they say in the episode, these people care enough about Blitzø to put on an entire event every year about hating him. Verosika cares more than anyone there, too. You see everyone being happy and having a good time, and while she’s a good host, you can see her sad when no one’s looking. She empathizes with the others about being hurt by Blitzø, someone she was vulnerable with who ran as soon as she said she loved him. And Vortex sees her in private when she drops that shield. He probably knows better than anyone how deeply scarred she was by the rejection and fallout to the point she puts on a party every year for that heartbreak. Vortex is the perfect person to be at that party and sing with her.
He's probably never had his young years because he was married off really early. Now he rebelled against his family traditions, got first love and first heartbreak with Blitz. And now my man experiencing parties and rock stuff...
Tex in ep3: "I'm not being paid enough to care." Tex now: "Na na na naa naaaaa na!" Daaang, Verosika musta found out how good his vocals were and given him a raise!
Honestly to me, it seems like here it's giving supportive bestie vibes. Like I know some of my friends exes I hate almost just as much as they do for what they put my friend through. Those mother fuckers
I think he has enough experience with Blitz to have formed a negative opinion of him. Blitz hurt Verosika, who Vortex does seem to genuinely like. Blitz was a nuisance at Vortex's GF's party. And Vortex has seen how damaging Blitz can be to Luna. All in all, why shouldn't he be a little miffed at him for hurting someone else?
That's not raspiness.... If anything, his voice is the opposite of raspy. It's full and clear. It's quite emotive and smooth, I think the only part where there's grit is when he's having Stolas freak out before singing "burn."
Stolas was being hesitan at first and then came out with the fucking pipes. The lyrics are amazing as well, like "I don't think you meant to hurt me, because i don't think it meant a thin at all" is an insane line!

This is what i found interesting. There was someone who reacted to this that said something similar, it’s the fact that this makes Blizo listen. Stolas singing about he felt in their relationship, in their argument, legit everything, and due to Blitz being undercover he’s forced to listen to it. And he can’t do anything about it, he can’t lash out like he always does any time Stolas argues with him. So I find this all interesting

Everyone keeps giving blitzø shit for yelling at Stolas at his house, but no one seems to acknowledge that Stolas essentially set himself up to fail in full moon. Stolas gets angry at blitzø for making things about sex, but HE made their relationship about sex. He himself acknowledges this in the song. Sure, blitzø needs to better himself for the relationship to work, but Stolas basically fucked himself over when he chose a night specifically for sex to tell him about his feelings. And don't even get me started on him getting mad at blitzø for not saving him from striker. Blitz literally sent people to save him and stopped him the first time. @@Black_lake_studiosAgreed to a point. I think he is somewhat right to have his feelings like this. He secretly really liked blitz and didn’t want to lose him by expressing his feelings. When blitz asked him to Ozzie’s he thought that blitz might actually like him back, until he saw blitz was embarrassed by being with him at Ozzie’s. Stolas then wanted to test if Blitz loved him back by giving him an out off their relationship with the crystal so Blitz didn’t need the grimoire, to see if Blitz was just using him for a ticket to Earth or if Blitz also secretly loved Stolas back.
"Maybe there's somethin' here for us to glean, For you to teach, and me to try and learn" Stolas is trying to understand where Blitz's anger is coming from, but he's incapable of it, but he wants to try (despite Verosika's inclination to think Blitz himself is irredeemable, which even she starts to realize isn't completely true by the end). To me this whole arc seems to me to be about two complicated people, that the unfair system of hell fucked over, who need to deal with their own trauma before being able to communicate, they have to gain back self worth, and Stolas is on his way to that due to breaking off their past deal after realizing it wasn't play and there were real stakes for Bliz, and now being allowed to find himself be desired and cared about outside of just by Blitz. And hopefuly that experience will help him be less sheltered and maybe then understand why Blitz is insecure about his Imp status and how he himself plays a part in that. I get why people say this, but I also think it's dangerous for someone like Stolas. Yes, it's good to examine your actions and learn from them, but the thing is, Blitz has been in toxic relationships with other imps and people of his status. It's always going to be something with Blit
Stolas absolutely owning the stage and dropping an absolute banger Stolas “thank you for your time” I don’t know why but the way he just says that and walks off after makes me chuckle 😂
Going into this scene, I was fully expecting it to be another 10 minute long pop song, but I was COMPLETELY blown out of the water with my expectations. Bryce's voice was practically made for music.
this is honestly so deep because stolas thinks blitzø never ever wanted him but on the other hand blitzø really did want him, and barely could even say sorry to him because how much blitzø cares, to show this, he caught him when stolas was drunk and all of that.
Not to nitpick or anything just info dumping. Technically we don't know if hes an incubus as the incu amd sucu prefix doesn't show gender simply role in ❤. Incubus simply means to lay on top amd sucubus to lay on bottom. Bassicly hes only an incubus if hes a top 🎉🎉
The voice actor of stolas killed it when he was singing. So much emotion was put into this one song to the point where it's enough to make me feel like crying. And the animtion is beautiful, from pictures of blitz shattering, stolas getting on fire on 2:05, and past and present moment at the end, it was all so perfect. This is easily the best song in helluva boss And I don't think we'll ever get a song as good as this one.
@@MrMarnely I’m so sorry to hear that 🥺 he doesn’t deserve you boo. If someone truly loves you for who you are, your gender shouldn’t matter! Sending love 💕
@@jacobmyers9338it really is. I did not expect this style from either helluva or hazbin at all, and I certainly wouldn’t have expected it to be Bryce Pinkham who sang it, but it came out amazing. I’ve had it on loop since the episode came out earlier
People keep talking about Tex joining in this song despite only having met Blitzo twice. But think about that second time for a bit. He spent his entire time at Bee's party getting drunk and basically swallowing tongues. Hell, Dennis was one of those people from that party and he was there specifically because of it.
i just realized something around 1:38, stolas is singing about he he might have been at fault as to why the relationship didn't work out, before verosika and tex sing "no"; basically saying that it wasn't his fault and that blitzo is to blame. it made me think that verosika probably hates blitzo so much, she tells that to every new ex that comes to the party the same thing, that it "wasn't there fault" that "blitzo is the problem" to help make them feel better, maybe she told herself that to try to get over blitzo.. just a thought i had.
It usually is Blitzø, or at least a lot of it is him pushing people away. But sometimes it's not JUST Blitzø, like in the relationship with Stolas. Verosika might accidentally be making it so Blitzø's exes can't heal because they don't take accountability for their own mistakes in the relationship.
@@CatGold5047 I feel like thats what it is, because he was trying to own up to his mistakes in the song, while verosika was constantly telling him it wasnt his fault. It was only Blitz. Which in the long run isn't going to help him heal at all. Its just going to build into more hate, and playing the victim even though you have part in why it went down how it did
The point is that no one looks at blitz besides the surface level. He act like an ass oh he must be an ass 100% no justification other than what he shows. Those few times he let's down his defenses and shows that it's a fake persona to protect himself from hurt is pretty much ignored.
@@malohn2068But at the same time, he uses that as his own excuse to engage with toxic behaviors. And to make it worse, Blitz seems to realize that he goes after other toxic and damaged people because they are not only easier, but then when the relationship does go bad, he doesn't have to think about his own actions.
@@malohn2068 Stolas did listen to him tho. Multiple times. Verosika too. They were right and he doesn’t just get to get away with saying and doing shitty things just because he’s afraid, “fake” or not that really does damage to people. If you act like an ass then you are an ass, whether it’s a defense mechanism or not that’s what you are. It’s a hard pill to swallow but it’s the truth, sorry.
I am pretty sure this song has helped Blitz see whst Dtoals really feels. You can see he started accepting that Stolas loves him, but it was already to late for him to start the relationship he really wanted.
Man I have never realized just how powerful a good rock ballad could be but now it feels like I'm feeling what stolas was feeling at the end of truth seekers just bc of this one song damn

I honestly want the next episode to explain why he had that outlook on Stolas cause Blitzø really couldn’t change his ideals for a bit and it seriously screams trauma~. Like there was a hypothesis that maybe Blitzø had a relationship with someone that was royalty and felt loved by them but ended up hurt. Or another was the fact his mom probably went through it and he saw it all. Like I seriously want to know what he read in that letter addressed to him in episode 6.
Oh my God, I love this. I love every single part of it. I wanna call out so many things, but the one that I have decided to call out is the part where vortex started singing. I wasn’t expecting for vortex to have a little part in this, but it was beautiful nonetheless.. 2:13
Verosika was actually the MVP of this episode… and it was fucking adorable to watch her be an actually cool person to Stolas. Shows that, while she absolutely has issues… Blitzø was the one who made it toxic.
You can't blame Blitz without looking at the one who created their agreement. Yes he got angry with them and lashed out, only because he can't fathom the fact someone might actually love him for just him. And it's probably what he's done with everyone at this party, he might also not like to get close with people in fear he'll loose them just like he has with his family.
Stolas from the outset of their relationship made it transactional. Then when he caught feelings, instead of telling Blitzø his plan to free him, in any sense. Instead he, brushes blitzøs advancements off when they meet in full moon, taking back the book, giving him the impression that Stolas is just ending things, only to then reject blitzø as he Tries to beg back, only then does Stolas bring out the crystal when Blitzø was in TEARS! Then when Blitzø misinterprets this, Stolas, not getting the reaction he was expecting (probably a grateful Blitzø) he leaves, he didn't give Blitzø a chance to process any information before dismissing it, then when Blitzø goes to make the apology, Stolas portals him outside. Then has the gall to claim Blitzø never even tried to apologize, Blitzø has some toxicity yes, but Stolas is far from innocent
There was another youtuber that watched this and he made a REALLY good observation, I cant remember who it was though, ill find out, but he said smth along the lines of “Blitz always had the ability to fight back and deny and scream so he could never listen and never understand what Stolas or other people were saying, but since hes surrounded by people that hate him, he has to keep his head low, so he HAD to listen to Stolas’ pain and sorrow since he couldnt fire back and shut him down or he wouldve been possibly murdered” EDIT: The youtuber that brought this up is Danny Motta
Ngl the thing that cracked me up the most is that even though Vortex is clearly shown singing, there is absolutely no remnant of his normal voice in the chorus, so either they just wanted to put in a known character or, whats way funnier, Vortext can just go that high with his voice
It's James Monroe Inglehart, same guy who voices Asmodeus. Sometimes a person's singing and speaking voices can be surprisingly different, I've seen it in real life

With every new episode I become convinced that Bryce was destined to play Stolas. I just can't imagine anyone else doing a better job.
Stolas was so sick of blitzø being fake that he sang an entire rock ballad
FRFR
And I'm so glad he did
Real
Well at least it's better than getting drawn as a pregnant dog.
@@Notyouraveragenameuh wtf-
Stolas absolutely owning the stage and dropping an absolute banger
Stolas “thank you for your time”
I don’t know why but the way he just says that and walks off after makes me chuckle 😂
Going into this scene, I was fully expecting it to be another 10 minute long pop song, but I was COMPLETELY blown out of the water with my expectations.
Bryce's voice was practically made for music.
You can tell that since Hazbin came out they stepped up with the music.
Hell yeahh!! ❤❤
Bryce IS a broadway actor, after all!
Ur so right
Does a 10 minute song exist? 🤨
this is honestly so deep because stolas thinks blitzø never ever wanted him but on the other hand blitzø really did want him, and barely could even say sorry to him because how much blitzø cares, to show this, he caught him when stolas was drunk and all of that.
Sarcastic chorus have a bunch of videos about it
This episode gave me my new favorite side character. The incubus that dances with stolas, dude is just a chill sweetheart who liked stolas’ singing c:
Not to nitpick or anything just info dumping. Technically we don't know if hes an incubus as the incu amd sucu prefix doesn't show gender simply role in ❤. Incubus simply means to lay on top amd sucubus to lay on bottom. Bassicly hes only an incubus if hes a top 🎉🎉
HE STOLAS STOLAS FROM BLITZØ 😭😭
@@cyanplayz590 in the cannon of the show, incubus is considered to be a male variant and succubus is a female variant.
@@Marshmellow_kitty Blitz let Stolas go dance with him. And also they were both blitz’s exes.
@@Marshmellow_kittyBlitzo lost his chance 😅
That “make me burn” part just hit so deap, and the animation was impecable
The voice actor of stolas killed it when he was singing. So much emotion was put into this one song to the point where it's enough to make me feel like crying. And the animtion is beautiful, from pictures of blitz shattering, stolas getting on fire on 2:05, and past and present moment at the end, it was all so perfect. This is easily the best song in helluva boss And I don't think we'll ever get a song as good as this one.
Bro cooked and made a gourmet dish
helluva/hazbin songs have no right being this good man😭😭😭 bawling rn
I can't stop listening to this song but PLEASE Spindlehorse team LET Blitz and Stolas GET BACK TOGETHER in a healthy way
They will. Stolas was supposed to be an antagonist but Viv preferred her and Blitz as a couple so they're definitely getting together eventually
It feels so far from last episode... To think that for them it's just been a day...
3 days
i really cant wait for this to be on Spotify properly. going right into my favourites
The David Bowie vibes are so strong from this bird
*Stolas is very similar to Jareth/Goblin King but in a good way!!! 😍💖*

GAVE OFF SAME VIBES NGL
HE DEFINITELY GIVES OFF QUEEN VIBES 😁

Helluva boss can really make such amazing songs! The voice actors have such talent!
Stolas singing a power ballad was everything I needed. I actually cried because anyone who's loved a crappy person can relate and it hit me so hard...
I think this is the best stolas song ever
When I heard him sing you will be okay I always expected him to have softer slower songs but this was perfect
Understatement. This is the best song in helluva boss.
its ruined by vortex
@@jacobmyers9338it really is. I did not expect this style from either helluva or hazbin at all, and I certainly wouldn’t have expected it to be Bryce Pinkham who sang it, but it came out amazing. I’ve had it on loop since the episode came out earlier
@@hanzywatemelon3669 why? I like his voice
For some reason, every Stolas song I relate to when it comes out. They always release at the perfect time for me.
2:48 I love the way he says it here ITS SO GOOD
People keep talking about Tex joining in this song despite only having met Blitzo twice. But think about that second time for a bit. He spent his entire time at Bee's party getting drunk and basically swallowing tongues. Hell, Dennis was one of those people from that party and he was there specifically because of it.
i just realized something
around 1:38, stolas is singing about he he might have been at fault as to why the relationship didn't work out, before verosika and tex sing "no"; basically saying that it wasn't his fault and that blitzo is to blame.
it made me think that verosika probably hates blitzo so much, she tells that to every new ex that comes to the party the same thing, that it "wasn't there fault" that "blitzo is the problem" to help make them feel better, maybe she told herself that to try to get over blitzo..
just a thought i had.
The fact that Blitzo hates himself so much that he can't process anyone truly caring about him is so very tragic.
I felt so bad for stolas, I just want to give him such a big hug! He's been through so much shit with his dad, Stella and now blitzø.
all of his songs need to be this kind of rock his voice is perfect for this ITS SO GOOD!
Verosika and Vortex doing backup vocals makes this song just so much better. And stolas’s voice is just so amazing. Amazing song
0:51 the two succubus on the left of blitz are dressed like poison ivy and Harley Quinn
Stolas is literally wanting someone to be happy he exists and being wanted says everything
0:51 - on the left of the screen at the front of the stage, there are 2 lady demons dressed as poison ivy and harley quinn, subtle, but cute
Well it is Halloween. Also they're Succubus. 90% of his exs are succubi(that's gotta say something)

2:24 if stolas has seen this from blitzø...
Have I had this on repeat since literally three days ago? Yes. Do I have any intention of stopping? No.
I have to give it to Bryce, a lot of the vocals sound like one of the better impressions I have heard of Freddie Mercury.
oh my gosh you're right. I knew in the back of my head it was resonating with something, but I didn't figure it out. That's exactly it!
The "at all at all at all" part is so good!! :))

Lyrics:
I let you get to close
I let it go too far
Now i know, now i know
Now i know exactly what you are
(Na na na na na na
A motherfucker
Na na na na na na
A motherfucker)
I dont think you meant to hurt me
Cuz i dont think it meant a thing at all
At all, at all, at all
At all, at all, at all
At all, at all to you
(Na na na na na na)
The motherfucker
Na na na na na na
The motherfucker
I let it go too long
I let you go too deep
Now i know, now i know
Now i know theres one thing i cant keep
But i, i keep on waiting
Waiting to want you less than i do
And i do, oh, i do
Yes, i still do want you
But maybe its all on me
For missing every sign
And every glance
And every turn
(No, no, no, hes a motherfucker)
Maybe theres something here
For us to glean
For you to teach
And for me to try and learn
(No, no, no, hes a motherfucker)
Cause i am not a theif
But you were mine to earn
What if i came on to strong?
What if i read this all wrong?
What if we just dont belong?
All this what if, what if, what if, what if, what if, what if
Why, why, why, why, why, why
Makes me burn
Oh, i dont think you meant to hurt me
Cuz i dont think it meant a thing at all
(Well, did it?)
No, not at all (didnt mean a goddamn thing)
At all, at all, at all
(didnt mean a, didnt mean a)
At all, at all, at all
(Didnt mean a, didnt mean a)
At all, at all to you
Na na na na na na
The motherfucker
Na na na na na na
The motherfucker
Na na na na na na

This song was so good but so much emotion though this episode was roller coaster of emotions i cry 😭 Bryce has beautiful singing voice he nail it with his pipes in his vocals he sounds like a rock star 🌟 but im proud of bilzt for owning up to his mistakes and for owning up to his mistakes but i hope that in the next episode stolas and blitz and work things out in there relationship this song was so good I can’t get this song out of my head i was crying for stolas i wanna give him a huge and to Blizt too good job
I kinda hope they don't get back together they just both heal and become awesome friends
Oh my God, I love this. I love every single part of it. I wanna call out so many things, but the one that I have decided to call out is the part where vortex started singing. I wasn’t expecting for vortex to have a little part in this, but it was beautiful nonetheless.. 2:13
The whatif part give me actual goosebumps dude, this song is the best in the show with difference
2:40 They got the Glow Sticks

When this song started, my jaw dropped. Bryce's voice really shines here.
This song made me cry
The whole episode made me to rethink my life and how I treated people.
I really hope they make up in the few episodes
This is the most realest and relatable Stolas has been to me, personally xD
There was another youtuber that watched this and he made a REALLY good observation, I cant remember who it was though, ill find out, but he said smth along the lines of “Blitz always had the ability to fight back and deny and scream so he could never listen and never understand what Stolas or other people were saying, but since hes surrounded by people that hate him, he has to keep his head low, so he HAD to listen to Stolas’ pain and sorrow since he couldnt fire back and shut him down or he wouldve been possibly murdered”
EDIT: The youtuber that brought this up is Danny Motta
I can’t express how much I love this song ❤ Literally sounds something I would listen to back in my high school days
I'm really glad stolas got his feelings out. Also the glow sticks are awesome.😊
I actually cried during this song. When I saw blitzo tearing up I just died 😭😢
Sometimes a person's singing and speaking voices can be surprisingly different, I've seen it in real life
Maybe it’s been a while since I’ve seen episodes 3 or 8, but Tex does sound like himself though?
Ugh why is this song so good 😭
Omg the animation is amazing! The glass breaking scene was so beautiful.
The song made me cry so hard. Stolas wasn't one of my favorite characters, but he is now!
