Is that silver dragons in the intro 🤔 I love him 🤗
thanks so much yes it’s me 😁🔥🐉
He's running the Goldback youtube channel now!
Yes it is, we are thrilled to have him running our Goldback channel!
Sounds like him
I just received my first order of gold backs and I absolutely love them. They are much nicer than I had expected. The art is amazing & It's going to be hard to let them loose but I love the idea of sound money in my community
What a great idea
Thank you so much! We are glad to hear you love them.
Got my first gold back today! Customer for life! 😁
If you offer me payment in Goldback, yes I will gladly take it.
I really hope these catch on everywhere. One thing I would like to see Goldback Inc do is to make people more aware of UPMA/Alpine Gold where you can vault, buy, and sell Goldbacks and then if you sell you don't lose the huge premiums as you would if you sell back to a bullion dealer. I was hesitant to purchase Goldbacks as I have no way to locally spend them but once I learned about UPMA/Alpine Gold I started buying physical Goldbacks and I have an account with them to vault and if I want to cash my physical in.
Crossing my fingers my state gets Goldbacks so I can start spending them locally. I love my Goldbacks.
Only down side is, when you have a stack like I do, and you count it out like cash, it builds static and you can count 2 or more as 1 if you aren’t careful.
You really gotta slide your fingers on it to be sure you don’t have one stuck on another
Put them in plastic.
A light dusting of talcum powder helps prevent that.
Take a micrometer and check.
I love them. They will be appreciating a bunch as we go through this year. Beautiful and functional.
New Hampshire yes
We have
Construction company
Barbershop
Electric company
And so much more in New Hampshire
Even other countries want the gold back now.
I voluntarily buy them. I'm ahead of the curve.
I’d take goldbacks (Utah, Nevada, or New Hampshire) in a heartbeat and I live in Oregon.
I understand Wyoming is up next and taking pre-orders for their goldbacks now.
The person accepting the goldback should be given a link to this channel so they can see it's not a scam.
honestly thats really cool
Really cool video and concept! Hopefully in the future they can bring down the premiums a little bit though.
Hopefully so but it's also based off of gold prices. To be expected.
Love this idea. However, I saw in another video a man went to purchase a candied apple and handed over three goldbacks. At the exchange rate each was worth $3.75. That would mean he just handed over $11.25 in gold for the apple. That’s a lot! Lol Why couldn’t he just have handed over one goldback? That would mean I’m buying one gb for $3.75USD but it’s purchasing power is only $1 USD. GB’s are nice and all but if that’s true I’m losing money so it isn’t worth it.
They look really cool in the sunlight you can tell there’s real gold in it
Awesome 💯
My concern. Gold value fluctuates. Meaning the value of the currency will fluctuate. If gold drops below the value when the currency was printed...well...good for you. If gold value rises, and the denomination says it is $1 dollar of value, yet now worth way more than a $1, bad for you. I love the idea of spending gold over fiat currency, for many complicated legal reasons. But, the way I see it, you would have to be part of a local currency group that agrees on what that $1 goldback is worth on that day's purchase current spot price.
I haven't been able to actually spend goldbacks at a business but I have gotten individuals to accept them. I've traded goldbacks for ammo a time or two.
Its like paying double at 50 % plus the premium
Need those!
Goldbacks are awesome and the art work is beautiful
they are very cool for sure 👍🏽🔥🐉
Big fan of Goldbacks. Even bigger fan now that I've seen Jeremy packing heat under his left arm. Haha.
I'll take it.gold is money
Can you please do a Florida goldbacks series
Just trying to get some now has been a 2 year long thing. I want to get it as change back on something. I want to get it, as if it IS currency. Northern California IS a great spot. I'll even give ya a spot, look up Denios farmers market in Roseville.
Is he wearing a John Mclane style shoulder holster?
Wouldn’t people need to check the authenticity of the notes just as they would with coins as you described?
A lot of those people seemed to take goldbacks for those small purchases because of the novelty. Not because they think they can buy things with it.
Sooo I live I california.. but I want these but no one I have heard of has accepted these. Is it worth it? 🤔
The way I see it, the dollar is like an " I owe You ", you buy something and you give them "I owe you " to show them that you have something of value that you currently don't have at hand, the dollar was backed by gold but now it's backed by nothing, but only those who own gold, they are the ones who's dollar is worth something, if you don't have gold to back your dollar then your dollar is worth nothing, so this GOLDBACK is the best of both worlds, mixing paper currency for mobility and gold for it's value, people need to learn the history of the dollar, can you create a small brochure of the history of currency and how it's supposed to be used properly? Small enough for you to share quickly to educate the population?
Goldback Baggins!
I'd love to see some for California with the bear as the image. I order some but sadly I can't use them in California I guess
I know it does not fit the narrative of this video, but I would be interested to see how many of those folks would take bitcoin (or other crypto) as payment.
I actually do accept it for my music and other freelance work. So, it is being considered person to person.
I imagine physical gold would be more trusted than crypto but it would be cool to see who would take it 👍🏽🔥🐉
you can use crypto to buy goldbacks , leaving all risk on the crypto holder .. Gold seller cashes out bitcoin immediately for USD
You are a handsome man Jeremy Cordon. Thank for bringing such a beautiful currency into our world. :-)
Do the sellers accept glo backs at face value or spot price. Those gold backs are worth more than face value..
How do you know how much one gold back is worth
Lebanon, and yesterday, Turkey are being taken over by hyperinflation. Which country will be next?
As a Turkish citizen, I aggree. People lost confidence on their local money. If something like goldback would be in Turkish market, people would probably choose it over lira when making a future conttact due to high inflation.
I wish Goldbacks were measured in grams rather than fractions of an ozt. Still very cool. I have one so far.
I'm glad that a local American currency uses American units of measure.
can it be used in any state. Like if I have Utah goldback, can I use it in New Jersey
SD 👍👍 Hey man what's up!
I'll take some Gold Backs for services rendered 🧐
Perhaps an odd question, but are the physical dimensions of the goldbacks different for each denomination? At 0:25, as they are being laid out, they seem to be different sizes.
The higher the denomination, the larger the Goldback, since thickness is limited with their process.
they need to solve the peeling issue if they have any hope of lasting.
How do you determine the value of these without the reference of the dollar for example? What is the value of these without reference to another currency?
The weight of the gold contained is stamped on the bill and what someone is willing to barter for that gold determines it's value. You are actually pointing out exactly why these are actually valuable vs fiat currency.
The US dollar has NO inherent value, based on it's materials or any actual backing. It's all faith in the US monetary system that provides it's value. These can be melted down to provide their face value in 1000ths of a troy ounce of gold.
i LOVE gold backs.... however.... MAKING CHANGE is still a HUGE obstacle
these are in back to the future 2..... in docs brief case of cash......
Cannot exchange dollar for dollars worth without losing money
How does the merchant determine the value of the Goldback in relation to the current price of an object he is selling for say $5.50?
the use the Goldback calculator, type in the price and it tell you how many Goldbacks it is based on the current exchange rate!
I think it's a great idea for saving stashed away and maybe some sort of banknote portfolio binder. At least until the value of the note for spending purposes matches what you have to spend to purchase it. If I convert my entire check into goldbacks and then spend it right away I have lost a significant amount of money.
1 Goldback is worth about $3.80 USD and you can spend it at that. For example if your lunch cost $15 you would pay 4 Goldbacks. We have a calculator on our website as well and the exchange rate.
@@GoldbackInc correct but where can I purchase a 1 gold back for $3.80. Like I said I love these notes for for my collection and I can't wait for the next states to come out so I can add those to it as well but the cheapest price I paid so far is $4.86 by winning a bid on eBay. So I must pay over $5 and then exchange it for under $4. This will never be a currency if it cost more to obtain then it's valued at . Quite simply anyone who buys and or exchanges goldbacks is losing money. Anyone who's even halfway financially intelligent is not going to go for this. Plus these notes are much more fragile then cotton Blend or full polymer notes. I love the idea of this will never replace current physical currency it doesn't even have a shot considering the significant loss when exchanged. Again I'm not trying to put you guys down in anyway I know how much work has went into creating this and again I absolutely love these notes and I'm eagerly looking forward to the next states in the series. I just think you need to change the narrative any idea of why someone would purchase this because replacing our current currency is not happening and I don't want this current narrative to destroy and end this business. More and more people are starting to see that it cannot replace our current physical currency and it's giving goldbacks a bad name. And I feel that's very unfortunate.
@@rodb335 I agree with you 100%
@@noicue8078 goldbeck replied without reading my comment defending themselves I wish they would actually read this and reply thanks for the comment
@@rodb335 Hello. I am subscribed to a few channels and I read every comment, every reply and even made a few comments myself to try and learn all I can . And they all seem real and down to earth to me, everybody has their own opinions and we all interact. But to me the Goldback Company with their replies seems somewhat automated and or it’s like it’s being read from a playbook by the person manning the computer when the question or comments comes in. That’s just my opinion. Sorry to bother you. Have a good day.
A one dollar goldback goes now for $3.70. So I would lose money buying a dollars worth. What do you suggest?
1 Goldback is worth about $3.89 USD. It is not 1 dollar, it is 1 Goldback. There is an exchange rate. We have a transaction calculator on our website. Hope this helps!
goldback.com/calc
Question: What kind of exchange rate do you use in spending goldbacks? They're obviously worth more than our dollars--I'm paying around $3.50/goldback right now. So if you pay for something with 10 goldbacks, you're paying FAR more than $10. How are you managing that exchange, or did you just do a 1=1 exchange in buying from these local vendors?
Great question! 1 Goldback currently has a $3.74 exchange rate so if you were buying something for $15 you would pay 4 Goldbacks for example. We have a calculator on our website to help!

I live in California.-. If I did live in a state where it does this I use and buy gold backs only
Can I use those here in Missouri?
Nope
I really like the idea except for the cost, it's 2 times the price of spot.
No one has ever been able to split an ounce of gold into a thousand virtually uncounterfeitable pieces for anywhere near the cost that we can. We are very proud of how low our premiums are.
will silverbacks be next???
I love this idea, however, why did they put individual states on them?!? How will that work if I live in a different state?!? Please explain becuz thats the only thing that doesn't work
Can you use them as currency OUTSIDE of Utah?
Yeah you can basically use them anywhere people will accept them regardless of the state because it's still gold.
How do I know they are real gold?
Is there a way to spot counterfeit Goldbacks?
Easiest way by far is the negative image of the Goldback on the back. Also these references hit the major ones as well.

Curious how the person accepting the gold back can prove it's not fake or counterfeit? I like the idea of the goldback but what can one do to prove its authentic and contains the gold it says it does.
Great question! Check out this video.

@@GoldbackInc Thanks for your response and video. Like I said I love the idea, but, I know so many buts, but I can see how most people would be very suspicious having no knowledge of this unique money designed for people that understand how our monetary system is corrupt. It is just so exhausting to have to explain and give essentially a lesson to everyone in order to make them feel comfortable about accepting it. Then they likely will just hold the note forever and not know how to spend it themselves, so I see it mostly as a novelty. I know from experience trying to get people to accept silver coins or bullion as payment and every country has a history of backing it's monetary unit with precious metals. People are just so ignorant about money and where it comes from. I was one of those as well. Never taught in government schools and never talked about by the media of propaganda for the state. Even college economics courses don't discuss what money is and why central banks are in control of what is legal and what is acceptable. Real money needs more people to accept it for it to have any chance of disrupting our corrupt monetary system. Thanks for your efforts. I'll pick up a goldback if I can find one at a coin shop or bullion dealer as I don't have an address to have one sent to myself. That's how off the grid I am.
This should be used on our currency today! They would actually have to place value in each and every note they circulate! Instead of backing our dollar with gold, actually put it IN the dollar! The fake fear of a run on our gold by foreign countries will be eliminated completely!
Can you put them in your wallet and are they bendable
They do bend, Alpine Gold has wallets meant for Goldbacks. Check it out on their website, alpinegold.com
💯👍
I love the idea of buying gold backs but spending very little of it. When spending it, are you spending the face value of the goldback or the weight of gold that’s in it? Also, if change is due, I don’t believe you’ll be getting that back in gold…
Great question, if you go to Goldback.com you will see the current exchange rate. 1 Goldback is traded at about $3.75 USD. We also have a calculator on the site available to use to do the math for you.
I really love the idea of Gold being back but i think why stop only at gold why not try silver also to be atomic silver printed Notes it's sounds Cool and practical
But if it costs me several dollars to buy one, aren’t I losing money with every purchase?
Its like paying double at 50 % plus the premium
No.
Man with a gun walks up to you & asks if you take gold as payment what would you do?
Silver dragons alternate channel?
Really love and respect this new take on a gold standard lets not forget that, with a few hiccup exceptions, civilization has always used gold as currency so this way of making it more fractional and functional is a great concept. One of my questions if not already asked though is a concern I would have. How well does the note hold up to wear and tear? Does residual loss happen over time on the notes circulating like a typical fiat currency note?
Sorry not bumping just realized that my concern may be misread by residual loss I mean what's to prevent loss of the notes content over time via circulation?
Money is a method of exchange, be it gold or pieces of plastisized paper, so ALL of it is real. Its value is agreed between the parties beforehand, what if I don't hold value in gold, but hold value in, say, Carbon Nano-tubes, what then?
Sounds to me like a sov-cit ideal.
Is this officially silver dragons 🐉?
Yes! Silver Dragons is running our RUclips channel!
Don't forget CALIFORNIA, please!!
No you can not use Goldbacks in every day purchases.[other than farmers markets] try paying for purchases in your fave restaurant. Goldilocks are just Novelty items for now. I wish more merchants would accept GoldBacks.
We accept Goldbacks at our gun store. :-)
I don't trust social media to buy gold so how then and at what bank can you buy them at
in utah they are everywhere, there are about 300 shops in salt lake city alone that accept them you can buy things like icecream or pizza and a few grocery stores like ACE Hardware accept them. you just get them from the LCS
Id much rather be paid in gold, and do transactions in gold.
I've thought of buying goldbacks, but that premium yo! Currently, 1/1000th of an ounce of gold is roughly $1.84. To purchase that denomination goldback costs $4.79, if shipping is free. That's like a 260% premium, no? Zoiks. Double Zoiks. No sale. Sorry SD...!
***EDIT*** 162% premium. Not 260%
the intention of these is to be used as a currency so they retain the premium 👍🏽🔥🐉
@@SilverDragons47 oh, I understand the intention. You don't recommend buying ASE's right now because of the ridiculous 72% premium. But you're okay with 260%...? I know they're paying you bro but c'mon.
If you have a UPMA account you don't lose the premium and the price is nowhere near $4.79, today the price is $3.44.
JMBullion is selling at $3.84 but it is worth shopping around for the best price. There is a premium on it but you can still spend it with that same premium. Also, Goldbacks have doubled in value over the past two years while cash has lost significantly to inflation. There's 0 gold in those $100 bills that you have.
JMBullion is selling at $3.84 which is about a 105% premium but it is worth shopping around for the best price. $4.84 would be a 160% premium not a 260% premium by the way.
Little miss pink gloves loves goldbacks 🤩🤩🤩🤩👃🏻🍻. She demands her allowance be paid in goldbacks 👃🏻👃🏻👃🏻👃🏻👃🏻
Buy gold to hedge against inflation tomorrow. Buy goldbacks to inflate your money TODAY! 260% premium!!! No thanks!!
It used to cost about 600% to get fractional gold as small as a Goldback so 260% would still be a good deal considering how much labor it costs per unit. Retailers will sell Goldbacks at whatever premium the market will support but a premium below ~100% is more normal. If you look around and do the math, you don't find a better deal on hyper-fractional gold.
@@GoldbackInc I feel for you guys at Goldback that are trying to get the concept off the ground. Many of us that love gold have forgotten that nations have been eating the minting and assaying costs for us. Eagles and Maples don't make themselves. Manufacture isn't free You guys are carrying your own manufacture costs with no nation to subsidize them for you.
🐉 🤩🤩🤩🤩🍻👍🏻👃🏻
Most of these youtube ( no work skills people) think were still living in the 1600s. Try making legitimate purchases with GoldBacks, see how long it takes before the store owner calls the police on you.
The real joke was on the guy that wouldn’t accept gold ! What a knucklehead
Overpriced novelty gold...
