On the Goldback website, it has how to get it started in a new state. You need to have, or know someone with deep pockets to get it started. Plus, the state politicians to accept it. Which basically, they copy Utah’s law.

Believe you can already use them. Don't think it matters if you spend a Nevada Goldback outside Nevada, ie, in TX. I'm using them in NH presently.

I started buying about 2 years ago and have made my money back via NAV and have sold some ( not cause I wanted ) to people who were interested and I doubled my money. Not to mention I have used them at local grocery stores, restaurants, haircuts, bakeries and cafe's in Texas, Connecticut, New York and New Jersey.

@@TruCunt The great thing about NYC is that most great business are small. So some local businesses. All you have to do is just introduce the goldback to your small business and they will alway choose gold over dollars. But you can't be shy.
@@TruCunt I don't remember the exact names of the business as I was there last year. But it was all in downtown NYC by what is known as the village. By the way I had to convince them they did not know what it was at first. So if you lazy or shy not going to work.

These gold items have actually increased in value more than just about any other gold I own.
It’s incredible how much these have jumped in value in such a short period of time.
Although these are intended for actual use and trade as opposed to hoarding and collecting, just keeping these in storage has been a successful ‘investment’.
People hate on them so hard but it is the only Gold I own that you go and immediately flip on ebay or other sites for an instant profit. People will pay premiums and not care with these. The market is completely different.

Don't forget the crossover from state to state. I'm in Massachusetts and many people and businesses are starting to use goldbacks here, myself included. And with the price of gold spiking to over $2,350 an ounce today more and more people are realizing the dollar is dead.

Where have you been able use them? I am also from MA and I am looking for somewhere to spend them
@@marche0033 There are a few people who accept them at farmer's markets in north central Mass; Athol, Orange, Gardner, Winchedon area. The more rural you get the better chance at spending them. Also you just have to bring them with you along with your regular fiat and give small businesses the gold pitch and the option of accepting real money. Only downside is I have yet to convince the large corporate locations to accept them.

First of all, it's fractional. All fractional gold carries a huge premium. Second, it's protected, you don't expect gold to magically convert itself into a spray and cover a sheet of plastic itself and than wrap itself into it. And third, there is logistics, etc. So 50% premium is perfectly reasonable. And last but not least, the bill itself is worth $5.05 now, when you purchase with it, it has a power of $5.05. It doesn't matter that there are only 1/1000th of troy oz of gold in it worth $2.36. It buys you $5.05 of goods. Period.
The premium is for the utility value. JUST USE THEM…

@@davidhoward300 Lol. It's funny how people ignore premiums everywhere. Like nobody says "Oh the amount of aluminum in this car is worth this much, why is the car so expensive?" But then they spot them in Goldbacks and coins.

You should add a way to verify the validity of the notes, maybe print a QR code or assign a value and a hash to the note that you can verify on your website. Since you can’t really bust them open and test them any other way

I am new and as a prepper i like the idea but there is huge premium on each gold back. So if i spent this in a buisness, basically i would be eating the 2$ loss on the premium on each goldnote? Or is the premium also pushed in understandment onto the business where the purchase is being made? 2ndly wouldn't this also be hedging a bet vs the us dollar going into hyfperinflation? (I understand its a fiat dollar eventually its hoing to fail) Www3 is more than likely to happen first. Gold would have to basically double right? Atm gold =2350$ per oz. The govt would have to be in a complete collapse to see gold reaching 5000$ an oz. Id buy if the premium was passed onto the next holder of me spending my goldbacks. Please explain if im missing or not understanding something.

It is essentially a gift card sleeve so you can give it to someone. Basically, all the dealers that sell goldbacks will sell these sleeves as well.(apmex, jm bullion, defy the grid, etc).

Technically, yes.
But, they argue it's explained and justified by utility: For example, a hammer or car are definitely worth more than the total cost of all their parts left in their original form.
I wish I bought these when they were two dollars per goldback. I just started buying them at the start of this year.
How do you verify that there is actually gold in them?
I can test gold several different ways.
One guy used a "X-ray fluorescence analyzer" (basically an x-ray gun) and verified the gold. Others have verified the weight by melting them, which is a much more involved process than I originally thought.
Did you know the UPMA United precious metal association will buy back your goldbacks? Also I own a debit like card linked to my Goldback account UPMA to spend them anywhere. Also I purchased these Goldbacks a few years back and watched them grow in value at the UPMA . Also the UPMA will store your goldbacks free of charge. they store Goldbacks for free. ANYONE ELSE OLD ENOUGH TO REMEMBER JABBER JAWS 🦈?
just make a federal dollar style Goldback and it will be more normalized imo. have it have images of president on one side and the other side govt monuments and birds like the dollar.
A gold coin will get you a heifer, a large pig, processed and packaged, you don' t need an F'ing cup of coffee when we are going back to a barter or bi metal system of exchange. You need large volume of necessary items, soap, meat, grains, tools, etc, Gold Coins work well for all sorts of purchases.
Unless the market is flooded with counterfeits.
