For our game room (movies, PS5, Spotify) we actually use the Adam T7V and three REL HT/1003 subs. Treated corners and wall panels too. Got a sweet spot backless chair and two longitudinal couches on either side behind that.

The way all speakers sound different same way our ears also percieves sound differently and it defers person to person. Basically one set of speakers which is good for someone maybe worse for somebody elae. The eq curve of the speakers should have a harmony with the eq curve of our ears. Remember this and test to find the speakers for your ears.

everyone talking about studio monitors but my car speakers give me the best mix results. if it sounds good in the car, it sounds good everywhere 🤷‍♂️

no offense but i've used the Eris E3.5 and there's literally zero difference between those and a soundbar.

people who need separate subwoofers just don’t know how to mix. if you know what you're doing, you can get deep bass from ANY speaker.

you guys are crazy spending $500+ on monitors. trust me, a good pair of wireless earbuds will give you way better clarity.

honestly, you should just mix on phone speakers. if it sounds good on those, it'll sound good on anything else.

monitors don’t matter as long as you have a decent DAC. the real magic is in the digital-to-analog conversion, not the speaker.

Absolutely not. DAC sound the same since the late 80s and it is possible now a days to get a complete linear signal out of the cheapest DACs wich even the best speaker in the world can't reproduce correctly.

yamaha hs5 is overrated. i don't care if it's 'accurate' - if i can't hear the bass shaking the walls, what's the point?

those room adjustment controls are useless. your ears should be able to adapt to any environment, no need for tech to do that.

all this talk about EQ and room adjustment controls, but real producers just mix with whatever's on hand. no need for all this fancy stuff.
