After shooting with some Pentax Takumar lenses on digital bodies for a year or two, I decided to pick up the camera they were actually designed for, the Asahi (or Honeywell in the US) Pentax Spotmatic. It's one of the first ever SLR cameras with TTL metering! However on many of these bodies, the metering no longer works, usually due to battery issues. I think it's worth putting a roll of inexpensive film (Ilford HP5 Plus for example) through the camera to see if it works. I've been shooting with film for a few months now and I am really enjoying the experience, if not the additional cost. But I could buy a lot of film if I sold off my digital equipment... 🤔

It actually seemed like the metering was working as the needle was going up and down in the viewfinder as I messed with the shutter speed
The 10mm f8 still trips me out with how small it is.
