I'm surprised nobody asked (I could have missed it). You mentioned an owner's contribution to the common area entry renovations. What are the apartment owners' obligations? Is there an ongoing (monthly) fee that the apartment owners pay towards maintenance, insurance, and other upkeep? What exactly do you own? The walls in? Anything else? Who pays to insure the structure? I'm guessing Italy has similar laws to common interest developments in other parts of the word where there are individual interests and common interests. Two minutes on this would have been interesting IMO.

You really do find some of the most tasteful and elegant homes and apartments across the price spectrum. This is a modest sized apartment that doesn't feel cramped and with no obvious rough edges. The current owners obviously put lots of love into decorating and appointing this place. If we were 1 year in the future and I was in Italy, I would, without question, stop by for a careful consideration.
