- Single FATHER Of 4 OVERWHELMED With Overgrown TRASHY Lawn
This single father had not had time to mow his lawn before it got out of control. We stopped by to ask if he needed some help. He said he would greatly appreciate the help so we got started. This is a big corner lot with a lot of overgrown edges. We did just about everything on this property. We mowed tall grass, trimmed overgrown edges, trimmed bushes and trees, and also raked up lots of trash.

Don't know how old the kids are but getting them out in their own yard to clean up the trash would have been a great learning tool. 🎉
Looking at the toys they are very young.
And so all of us, great way to spend family time, gardening tools can be. Brought at charity shops, and all family and friends can come to each others places for garden tidy get together, sandwiches and cuppa provided
He could have got out there with the kids and a bin and showed them what to do. It actually could have been fun as well as learning. But, yes also easy to be an armchair critic.
Thanks for cleaning the ADA curb ramp. That is a federally mandated requirement. It is the responsibility of the city to keep clean and clear for anyone using a cane, walker, seeing eye dog, wheelchair, etc. Those situations should be reported to the city. If they do not respond there is a form that can be filled out and sent to the Department of Justice. The curb and gutter is the responsibility of the city and is part of storm water disposal. There should be no water standing in front of a ADA curb ramp.
A little hard work while we’re young is the best, I so agree with you I’ll bet the dad had chores growing up.
I’m really glad to see a single working dad of four young kids getting some community support. It probably really made him feel a bit better about his situation to know someone cared enough to help out. This was a great transformation !
So thoughtful to help a single parent! I was a child in a single-parent home and watched my parent nearly collapse daily with fatigue. Getting necessary things done were more like are there clean clothes to go to school in? Is there food to eat? Is there a way to provide school supplies, shoes, gym clothes, dental or medical care? No one even dreamed of the yard being accessible or mowing until neighbors complained... It was nightmare living and nobody was happy although my parent did the best possible. Eventually, the situation was so dire we kids (except for 1, the oldest) went to other (separate) homes for at least a year and sometimes longer... It was quite something when we were able to live together again and help, really concrete help, like lawn care and light home maintenance, made an incredible difference. God bless you.
On a personal note --- when I clicked on your video --- I didn't immediately recognize you!! Congratulations on getting back in shape. Now, excuse me while I watch you turn a sow's ear into a silk purse.
Lol 😆 thanks so much!! 👋👋😊 Hope you’re having a great day Judith
Yes, I didn't want to mention it either but well done. I thought it was a different man's channel at first as I don't follow these things closely. I have done garden work almost every day this summer for an hour or two and lost 10 pounds despite being a woman over 60 - may not sound much but it felt impossible. It was being in touch with the soil, mowing, cutting trees that has worked for me - perhaps how mankind has really lived outside moving all day in most of our history.
@@TopNotchLawnsLOL I hi hi I I I I I Mo
Sharon here.... Remarkable change, the children will be able play out in the yard. The dad has quite a job with 4 children, working and being there for them. Hard times but worth it in the scheme of things. Great job Brian and helper. 👍☺❤
I really appreciate when you pick up the clippings, branches and trash! I’ve stopped watching several of the lawn care RUclipsrs because they do the bare minimum. Really appreciate that you care and do more!
Thanks so much ☺️😊 I always feel like it makes a difference in the overall tidiness! Hope you’re having a great week
I agree, I really appreciate the guys that pick up the yard waste. It really makes a difference. Great job!!
Wow another job well done. Why does it always seem to be corner lots. Lol. Glad the street sweeper was able to help out.
Me too! Both picking up trash and cuttings is at a different level than some of the big youtubers are at.
@TopNotchLawns I agree. I have quit watching the slash and dash videos. Makes a world of diff to pick up clippings. Thank you for helping people
I imagine those children are now more than happy because they have recovered the backyard so they can play on these summer days with the peace of mind of their father because they are safer. A great job of cleaning and care, Brian, with a great reward: the happiness of the children... and ours as we watch the video.
Hey Maria 😊😊👋👋 Always glad to hear from you! Really appreciate, I hope you’re having a great day
@@TopNotchLawns We have a week of festivities (feria) in my city, so yes it will be "a" great 8 days
Fabulous job, as always
Looks like a fence would be helpful too
If they are small there needs to be a fenced in area that’s close to the traffic
I have always felt that the exterior of a home reflects what the inside is like. Kids can pick up their toys easily enough.
Train them while they are young. Personal responsibly begins at home. Too many kids are not made to help and pick up after themselves and grow up not prepared for adult life. Hope everyone appreciates the yard transformation and help maintain it.
Right. Kids learn by example. Teach them young.
I agree. I did a number of years as an RN at home health as well as hospice and I can tell you the trash and nastiness of an outside house is exactly what’s going on in the inside. I went into places that were so filthy. I wouldn’t sit down For kids and that’s hard but there’s no excuse for kids over five and six years old to start learning how to pick up after themselves. I was a single mom I had a full-time job. I know what it’s like. I had a clean house my kids had food on the table at night.
They had clean clothes to wear. We had time together and I cut the grass even if it was at 7 o’clock at night until my son got old enough to learn how to cut the grass. Just saying. And by the way, just because your man doesn’t mean you can’t do it.
Да, о хозяевах судят от порога, как на улице, так и дома.
exactly, i was raised by a single mum of 5, she mowed the lawn every second weekend until one of us older ones could, the yard was always swept clean, we had a small vegetable plot with some flowers and it was always maintained! it takes but 5 mins a day to upkeep
Wow, you weren’t kidding about all the trash in the yard!! Wow, I’m blown away!
The home looks completely different & doesn’t even look like the same property. You did a fantastic job cleaning all the debris, garbage & clumps of dirt, tree limbs & branches. That was a lot of hard work but you did it!! You rock!!
Dad needs to start putting trash in a trash can and teach the children to do the same.
I can imagine how grateful the neighbors felt when you mowed this!
I was thinking more of how happy the kids would be to play in a clean backyard. The dad needs to start throwing trash into a trash can and teaching the children to do the same. To have some pride in their humble home.
ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. YOU GUYS DID AN INCREDIBLE JOB. THANK YOU ON BEHALF FOR ALL THOSE SINGLE DADS WE HAVE IN SOCIETY TODAY.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I think the father was beyond surprised! Thank you, guys, for helping this dad! Thank you for this video!! 👍
I always believed there are more 'good' people out there than "bad". This "good" deed is just one of many I've witnessed and viewed on you tube. So awesome and satisfying to watch.
Thanks so much! So glad you enjoyed it, couldn’t do this work without your support
Awesome job Brian. It's great to have help from someone who is understanding and yet not judgemental. I appreciate you for all that you do for others. You are a blessing.❤
What a transformation! I’m sure this dad was very happy you knocked on his door. ❤
That’s really a great transition for that Dad. I bet it was out of control before he moved there and just got worse over time. I can’t imagine taking care of four kids alone. Exhausting. Thanks for giving him a hand!
The dad and the children can start putting their trash in the trash can. Then a secondhand push mower and raking once a week. A family weekly yard cleanup with a cookout afterward. That way they all learn to take some pride in their home and make Saturday a family yard day.
@@JeanetteFaithabsolutely, now it's done they need to start helping themselves.
OMG, what a transformation!!! Great job! I love that you bagged all the grass and trimmed the trees. It opened that house up so much that it doesn’t even look like the same house.
I never get tired of watching the wonderful transformations!
Brian: Thank you for helping out this family. You did a fantastic, as always, on this property.
Bless this Mans heart !!! And Yours for taking this burden from Him 🙏🙏🙏
Me and my 75 year old mother love your videos. She says your the hardest working guy. We don't miss any of your vidoes.
I honestly think that driving over the piles of dirt and grass was the most fun the street sweeper guy had all week 😂 Thanks for another great corner lot cleanup!
Depression can be so debilitating, and you have no idea how to move forward. Dad may not have realized he was. You may have just given this family the first step forward. Thank you for this.
I can't speak on how depression can be debilitating, but I know how a long list of tasks with children around can make you feel so overwhelmed and feel as if you're drowning which sucks the energy and motivation out of it completely. Then in the middle of struggling with doing anything you're burning energy trying to involve the kids to help and have fun doing it. It can be very hard and I can't imagine doing it with depression.
😊😊@@kbenn153
Depression? Ignorant assumption. Perhaps the father's priorities are supporting his children and spending time with them. He works 3rd shift. The man has to sleep as well.
stop making excuses for lazy people.
A wonderful blessing for this young dad❤❤ The yard looks amazing and is safe for the littles❤❤ Thank You Brian❤❤❤❤
It is tough maintaining a home alone. Thanks for assisting this gent.
There’s no excuse for all that garbage by his back door. Does he know there are such things as garbage bags and garbage cans?
The Corner Lot King strikes again!! Awesome job Brian. You guys go above and beyond on your transformations. The home owner has to feel blessed that you did all that work for him and his kids.
I love watching videos that help deserving people rather than abandoned houses. It is so much more fulfilling.
I agree. Maybe the Dad will set an example for his children and they can all start putting trash in the trash can.
how is this person deserving?
@@JeanetteFaith Maybe the wind blew it out of a full can?
You did a wonderful job Brian, I'm sure the Dad is very grateful.
Hello from Hong Kong. You always are so kind to help those in need ❤
Thank you Brian for your professional attitude, work ethics and positive attitude while serving your Community. Thank you for you time and energy. God bless you.❤❤ Thank you for helping this Awesome single father. You don't here about single dad's enough.
Thank you for helping a family in need. 🙏
I feel this was one of the best clearouts that have been done. It is improved 500 percent🎉🎉🎉
Brian you did such a beautiful job cleaning up this property…it looks like a completely different home!! I absolutely love that you bag the clippings and haul away the branches/trash for the homeowner! You gave him a gift he will always remember. I cannot imagine single-parenting FOUR youngsters…I only had one and sometimes felt completely overwhelmed! Blessings to you and your family!
👏👏👏💯💯👏👏👏
That was a mess for sure. May God continue to bless you and your. Thank you for all the people you help
Always appreciate Betty ☺️👋😊 Blessings to you
Sometimes, "Thank you" just doesn't seem like enough but it's all we have. Thanks to you, Brian this Dad got the help he really needed. I'm sure the kids are happy as well😊😊
When a single Dad chooses to spend time with his children, that is wonderful! Thanks for helping him with his lawn!
Bless you for your help. He really has a big load to have to deal with. God bless his heart.❤
You have such a big heart Brian! You are such a blessing to all the people you help👍❤️
Thanks so much Bettie blessings to you☺️😊
Hi, Brian! This was a tough one. You did a fantastic makeover. You bless so many people. God bless you as you continue your ministry.
Absolutely incredible cleanup! The place looks 1000% better. Wasn’t that funny the way the house was placed on the lot?!? I’m sure that guy was pleased!❤❤❤ (You’re a really great guy Brian!)
Always appreciate the kindness! And yes, definitely an interesting lot!! Hope you’re having a great week
The city has a street sweeper. They need someone to paint over that graffiti wall. Dad and the kids need to use the trash can.
This was a huge job! Really helped this dad out and allows him to spend more time with his kids! The kids now have a place to play in backyard. Beautiful job!
and Dad can set an example for his kids by putting trash in the trash can.
And now the kids can see what their yard can & should look like & have a clean slate to keep it that way!😊Great job! ❤
Thank you so much for helping him. People forget that single fathers need support too. The lawn looking so good has to encourage him.
I hope he's inspired to pick up trash and teach the children to do the same. That's why they have a trash can. The children will learn from him. Maybe he could buy a used push mower and a new rake. Easier to keep it up than to start from scratch every few months.
@@JeanetteFaiththe teaching is do not put it down, put it where it belongs.
@@stargoddess2344 ????? Put trash in a trash can. Period.
One less stress for that family, thank you for Thursdays !
A clean backyard for the children.
That was so nice of him ❤ Yeah! Take him out to lunch. That was so sweet of him. And the water!! 🎉
The city paid street sweeper??? He gets paid by the city for that.
That Mimosa tree was really cool.
Thanks for helping this Dad and his kids.
You have done quite a service for this Dad and his children, Brian! It was a whole lotta work and you even trimmed the trees! I hope he will do a better job of keeping it up! Thanks for being such a generous guy! 🙂🙃😉
You could still find the operator of the street sweeper and give him a gift card to a restaurant! Its great helping out a single dad with kids.
The street sweeper gets paid He doesn’t need a tip. Are you kidding me???
The street sweeper works for the city. Believe me, he gets a good paycheck.
Even if it is his job he made multiple drive pasts, didn't have to do that. Thank you to street sweepers EVERYWHERE❤❤
Ya gotta admit the rain softened up the grass in the gutters and made it a bit easier on you to clean up. Thank you for helping this struggling single father with four children get his yard in order. I'm sure he is relieved. God bless you.🙏
Don’t care how tired or over whelmed I was I’d never ever let my yard & lawn look like this. Don’t mean to judge but…………!
Great transformation! Loved the removal of weeds around the meter. Not a shrub🤪
This family is blessed to have this done for them!
Hey Pam, hope you’re having a great week. Thanks so much for your support.
Thank you so much for helping this family out. I'm sure the father & his kids will have so much more fun being able to play in the yard.
IF they keep it up....starting with dad and kids putting their trash in the trash can. We teach our kids by our example.
Oh man when I saw you shoveling the curb with all that wet soppy muddy grass I was wondering how you were going to get rid of it. I actually prayed you would have help, then out of the blue this street cleaner comes by and takes care of that wet pile of mud and grass. That’s not coincidental that’s God working to keep you safe. This city sweeper saved your back from having to lift all that wet stuff. You do amazing work Brian and I love when I see you have posted new content. Sorry your edger got bent blades. I hope you were able to replace it with a new one without issues. Tall grass can have hidden dangers not seen by the naked eye. Stay safe and have a great Labor Day weekend!
Great job. I love that you bagged the clippings and removed the trash. This family will really appreciate all your hard work!
So why did he take out his trash?
How difficult would that be with that car he owns.
no they won't
Brian fantastic job helping that single parent out in the city coming by to clean up the curb that was great
Thanks man always appreciate! Hope you’re having a great week
I think this was awesome!! A single father of 4 trying his best and I imagine he was excited to get the help. I hope he will get the kids to help keep it clean. They will enjoy playing in the backyard!! Another great job ❤❤
For some reason, watching someone else working hard, is very relaxing for me. Thanks for helping others and posting your videos. Stay safe brother.
So glad you enjoyed them! I couldn’t do this without your support!! You stay safe too 👍👍👋
❤️👍
Great job!! So glad you had a chance to help out a dad, it's hard enough taking care of 4 kids, working to support them, trying to get sleep.....you never know what their situation is, so it's good to see you help a dad❤❤❤
This was an amazing transformation! You did an excellent job! Wish you lived in my city!
That was so nice of you to help the guy!
The rain helped a little you didn't have to shovel as hard. The grass was coming out in bunches.
That's a good thing.kudos to the guy raising his four children.
Much respect. Thank you for helping him.😊👍👍👍👍👍
What a blessing you are to that family. That man's Mr. Rake has seen better days!
Lol 😆 Mr. Rick definitely gets a workout!
You have such a forgiving spirit and a giving heart. God bless you.
Thank you for the kindness! Blessings to you
One word for the transformation - beautiful. I know that dad was extremely thankful. Thank you for sharing and have a great weekend Brian.
A beautiful transformation Brian. I’m sure the father and children were delighted with the results. Thank you so much for sharing with us and bless you on behalf of the family ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Thanks as always Andrea 👋☺️ Definitely rewarding!
Wow a lot of over growth. Thank you for helping this family out. The sweeper guy does deserve lunch. Have a wonderful week.😊❤
He is PAID by the city. That's his job and city workers get paid plenty. They need a city person to paint over that graffiti on the wall of the expressway!
If the dad isn’t disabled or hasn’t got a disability or the kids they can do the garden from now on all the hard work has been done well done 🇬🇧🏴
The dad didn't look disabled. He can buy a pushmower and rake. They ALL can pick up trash and put it in the trash can.
Wow what a difference that made. Looks Amazing!!
Thank you John 👍👋😊
I love your service to mankind of kindness of love to make neighborhood look fabulous.
Thanks so much! Couldn’t do this work without your support

Awesome! Thanks Manon 👋👋😊
Thank you Brian! Great job! The dad could teach the children how to be responsible for their yard! I do appreciate you helping him out! 47:23
When the title informs us you are helping a person I will watch it and give a thumbs up. Making a transformation to an abandoned property is a waste of good deed. Transforming a property for a person is heartwarming and rewarding 👌
What a load of work. That sidewalk was unbelievable. I loved you finding the gas meter. Guess they're not using it or maybe it's they never check it. It's read by wireless, not to diminish anything else, but the best part is that now the kids can play safely in the yard.
Yeah, couple people mentioned that I think in the last couple years, they have changed most of them over to digital! And yes, so nice for the kids to be able to play in the yard!
@@TopNotchLawns For a week or two unless they keep it up. They can ALL start using the trash can.
Brian you do such fantastic work with your helper. Thank you for all your hard work

Great transformation Brian. Continue being a blessing in your community. Be Blessed and stay safe❤🙏🏽

You did an awesome job helping out this family.❤
What a dramatic difference you made for this deserving Dad. 4 young children! He must be overwhelmed; working 3rd shift, making breakfast for 4 kids, taking them to school, grocery shopping, laundry, cooking, cleaning, etc, etc. Whew! Makes me tired just thinking about it! When does he sleep and how much? Night shift messes up a person's circadian rhythm. This man really needed your help, thank you so much for caring ! Great job by the way, a really top notch job you did for this family.
Great to see you trimmed down, too! Much healthier, people like you are needed!
You’re not kidding! I worked 3rd shift for 6 years. The only reason I could manage that was because my kids are grown. I worked with people who had young children, and I don’t know how they did it. Now I’m on 1st shift and am grateful.
You mean what women do every single day.
Looks fantastic Brian! 😊👋🏼💚 I’m sure that dad appreciates the help. I cannot imagine raising 4 kids alone!
You blessed a dad, four children, and a neighborhood by caring. I pray that God blesses you double for your trouble. ❤❤❤
Not being able to mow the grass is different from turning your garden in a heap of trash. Thank you for cleaning it.
Nice you could help a single Dad. I bet he really appreciated that! Very kind of you to help folks who really need it. ❤❤❤
Outstanding job and you made the family happy with more yard space to play in.
Thanks for helping a single dad. Looks great.
Absolutely enjoy watching your kindness and hard work. I know the father and the children will enjoy the beauty of their home. Such a gift for neighbors too.
I mean this man obviously has young children and you restored that yard back to something they can safely play in again, good on you man for always going above and beyond. Amazing work as always.
Hey, Brian. Awesome work reclaiming his yards. At least he can try to keep up now. That was way too long for a residential mower. Wrangling 4 young kids and a full time job is plenty tough enough. I'm glad you could help him out.
What a blessing for this dad and his kids. Now the kids can enjoy this yard again. God bless🇨🇦
Incredible job on this yard. I’m sure this dad was so pleased to have help, not easy having 4 young children to raise on your own. Thank you so much for helping him. Great place for the kids to play in now 🙌🙌🙌🙌
This is so awesome, helping out this single father, Brian.
As always Phenomenal job. Now the kids can play in their backyard. Safer & cleaner. Trimming the tree's back & up.....makes for an even safer place to be. Thank you for all you do. Have an amazing day. Blessings.
The camera shots in the back yard were much better and you did a beautiful job. God bless you.
Congratulations on weight loss. I am sedentary and have been doing keto. I am not losing like you. I am so happy for you to see the results encourages me.
I remember when this lawn service has four or five guys working for him . Then he started doing jobs for the highway dept cutting grass along bridges etc. fantastic lawn service
The overall change is great. It is nice to help a single dad raising his four children. It is much safer for them to play out in the yard now. You are a blessing to them.
You have done such an outstanding transformation on this property. You are so hard working and detail oriented. That father has four children! Doesn’t he worry about rodents with all that trash near his back door? Please move the bbq away from the house. It s a fire hazard so close to the siding. I certainly hope that this father is able to keep up his property and keep it safe for his children.
The dad and the kids need to use the trash can. The grill can be moved out while grilling.
