Brooo seeing Leper Messiah riff as the weakest really hurts
😞 seriously but tbf the main riff is one of the weaker ones off master of puppets simply because there’s songs like damage Inc and disposable heroes
@@zuckleyplays4120fr
I was thinking best main riff to be disposable heroes but yeah
That's the weakest on MoP though - tough to pick but it's gotta be one of them
Yeah the Verse riff from Leper is so much better lol. I guess it just speaks to the quality of Master because how do you choose between master, battery, thing, disposable, orion...
It's a weak and weird riff
Yes Shadows Follow such a good riff! Hope you're doing well Andriy!
\m/
That riff in Judas kiss is 🔥🔥. Sad to see that over say end of the line
I loved the original series so it’s awesome to see it back with 72 Seasons, I also recently got to see them live because my local movie theatre had a showing of their shows in Texas last week so that was awesome. Definitely looking forward to seeing this series make a comeback and stay awesome man
72 Seasons has amazing riffs, I can barely name a bad one. That's not what I thought of the album at first but it's such a grower!
72 Seasons got some really strong riffs, but the guitars sounds too weak especially on open palm mute
Screaming Su!cide is pretty meh tho
@@eliasHZATguitar it's a mid range instrument, it has to fit in the mix, it doesn't have to be "strong" or "fat"
i can name a few. namely like... all of them...
@@Helena-gk4ui yea thats some nerd shit, ill take a guitar that actually sounds cool please
Jason did a really good job in Blackened one of my favorites riffs
72 Seasons has grown on me a ton. I let alot of the mainstream critics get into my head, making me feel as if MetallicA had lost some of Its luster. And once I kept listening, and paid attention to the music. I realized that MetallicA are who they are for a reason. And they still have got everything that a band needs to stay successful. And I also come to realize that people dislike, or down right hate MetallicA, because they are so much the standard of today that all the critics that like other bands, which I do too. But it's hard for a band to be as big as what MetallicA has become. Do I think other bands should get more promotional support? Yea, I do. But I also believe these bands that are wanting to get noticed. Need to step their game up. Because let's face it. MetallicA has made metal worth listening too. And when I see people and they're listening to new and different styles of metal. Then they say "Damn! It's missing something. It has some flavor, but there is just a bit of spice missing, and it's not as in your face as it should be."
That's what I want from metal music. I want a lead singer with aggressive vocals, that's let's people know that they mean business. Probably why bands like Pantera during their heyday of the 90's. They had that "IT" factor at that time. I was into alot other bands when MetallicA had their Load/Reload moments, which I still loved. But I agree that MetallicA's new direction at the time was something that I wasn't used to. But after staying with the band, listening to their new style. It took some time for me to gel with it. And I did! Same thing with 72 Seasons. I think this album is sorta like Kill em All in a way. Not with the sound, not with anything other than how people are perceiving this album. MetallicA seem to learn things from their previous albums, on what not to do. They will tweek a riff here and there. But always make solid, good music imo. Yeah you have the outliers such as St Banger and Lola
Man, five years ago i loved your content but watching your channel was a gulty pleasure because I was sure you were from another country. Can you believe that?
Different times. I will mosdef visit Ukraine when this is all over.
Keep on providing your quality content.
I really appreciated that! If you ever visit Lviv, write me on email or something
I'm just here to listen a nice mix of Metallica riffs ^_^
Yo your that guy that remixes some Metallica songs
Yep that's me!
damn... i LOVE the main riff on Confusion
I would LOVE to have this series back. Mostly because I love engaging with opinions like this, but when I first found your channel the original videos were already a few years old and so of course no activity was happening in the comments. Thanks Andriy for continuing to make Metallica related content through everything that's happening! 🇺🇦
As for my opinions:
Spit Out The Bone main riff is definitely the right choice, but it's actually not my favorite riff in the song! I really like the verse riff there actually.
From Death Magnetic I would choose All Nightmare Long or My Apocalypse or even Suicide and Redemption for the best main riff. IDK That Was Just Your Life never really did it for me.
Love the 5/5 1/5 scores for Some Kinda Monster lmao perfectly describes how I feel about that riff
Choosing The Unforgiven over Sad But True is highkey ballsy as hell, I gotta respect it even though I totally disagree lol
"Best riff in the song: kinda" for Blackened is SO TRUE lmao I cannot choose one!
Man I actually think Seek and Destroy is highly overrated and Phantom Lord is one of my favorite riffs on KEA... though I would have to say the strongest main riff is Metal Militia going away lol
Thank you so much! Btw, when you say S&R, which exactly main riff do you mean? The intro or the “verse”? If intro, then it’s one of the sickest riffs Metallica ever wrote
@@beinmetal I was thinking of the part immediately after the long chords, the first "riff" other than Rob's bass intro (which is also sick when combine with those three chord patterns in the guitar but can't really be called a main riff lol).
S&R is so much fun to play on guitar, also pretty easy!@@beinmetal
I remember when first hearing that leper messiah riff i was blown away! i had to learn how to play it right then and there :)
So nice seeing this kind of a video from you mate, hoping for better days..
Crown of barbed wire was my favorite riff from the new album, slow, dark, simple and memorable. The one chosen as strongest it's cookie cutter modern Metallica riff for me.
I agree 100% with you. CoBW is a unique riff, but I would like to point out that I do agree with Andriy with ranking it lower as a main riff. It sounds like a bridge between the verse and chorus to me.
Interesting fact - did u notice that James uses tone shifter during live performances of 72 Seasons? Just check the part when the key change in the middle of the song kicks in.
Thank you very much for the video. I'm watching your Metallica stuff for years and it always give me a lot of joy. I really hope better times for you, your family and Ukraine will come as soon as possible.
you are so awesome Andriy! thank you for all your Metallica content. i never knew there were ppl out there crazier about Metallica than myself. please dont stop making videos (at least for now) - i need my metallica fix :)
sending you love and may you stay safe, wherever you are!
Definitely wanna see more remakes! Always loved these style of videos.
Could you do one of these for Pantera as well? Pantera, Black Sabbath and Metallica have some of THE best riffs in metal! \m/
Phantom lord is my fave song on kill em all 😢
Dont agree with a few but think its a great video bro. Been a while o feel like. Hope ur good. Lets resurge! Keep these comin
Phantom Lord being the weakest on KeA just shows how fantastic the riffs were on that album, honestly. It's been a warmup song of mine for years.
shadows follow sounds so damn good live
I think Better Than You and Confusion are good riff. Better Than You is a very underrated song in general.
For Me: Weakest/strongest
KEA: Phantom Lord/No Remorse
RTL: Escape/Creeping Death
MOP: Lepper Messiah/Master of Puppets
AJFA: Eye of the beholder/Blackend
BA: The struggle whitin/ Enter Sandman (If its´too mainstream for ya´ll then Wherever i may roam, don´t burn my house)
Load: Poor twisted me/King Nothing
Reload: Bad seed/Devils´dance
st anger: AWMH/Frantic
DM: Cynide/That was just your life
HWTS: Now that we are dead/Moth into flame
72: sleepwalk my life away/shadows follow
I love how even the weakest riff from the black album was still an overall 8/10
there is a criminal lack of Wasting My Hate love in this video
My favourite main riff from 72 Seasons is Chasing Light
For me the best riff from 72 seasons is the main riff from Too Far Gone? It's not only my favourite track on the album but one of my favourite Metallica tracks from the 21st century
Cool one
i love don't tread on me 😮
good one on Orion. my favorite piece of all time. been wanting to practice it on bass, but i have no bass
Hey Andriyi, nice to see this serie back.
Here's my personal ranking of the riffs:
K.E.A. weakest main riff: Jump In The Fire
K.E.A. strongest main riff: The Mechanix emmm The Four Horsemen yeah
R.T.L. weakest main riff: Escape
R.T.L. strongest main riff: Trapped Under Ice
M.O.P. weakest main riff: Orion
M.O.P. strongest main riff: The Thing That Should Not Be
Justice weakest main riff: To Live Is To Die (:/)
Justice strongest main riff: ...And Justice For All
Metallica weakest main riff: Enter Sandman (fight me)
Metallica strongest main riff: Wherever I May Roam
Load weakest main riff: King Nothing
Load strongest main riff: Thorn Within (even tho it sounds like A.I.C.)
Reload weakest main riff: Fuel
Reload strongest main riff: Carpe Diem Baby
S.A. weakest main riff: All Within My Hands
S.A. strongest main riff: Some Kind of Monster
D.M. weakest main riff: My Apocalypse
D.M. strongest main riff: Su!cide and Redemption
HTSD weakest main riff: Murder One
HTSD strongest main riff: Dream No More
72 Seasons weakest main riff: Screaming Suic!de
72 Seasons strongest main riff: TooFare Gone ?
Bonus:
Beyond Magnetic weakest main riff: Hate Train
Beyond Magnetic strongest main riff: Just A Bullet A Bullet (aka the masterpiece for me)
Lulu weakest main riff: Junior Dad
Lulu strongest riff: Iced Honey
I think Ronnie has an under-rated main riff.
Phantom lord even though it’s weak it’s still badass
Nice list! I’d say Sweet Amber has the strongest main riff for me off of St. Anger though
Bro put Phantom Lord in weaker & Seek & Destroy intro riff in first of KeA 💀💀
the best riff in shadows follows is the outro / post-solo riff
The main riff in the second half of Bleeding Me is my favorite from LOAD
So that's why some of your videos disappeared recently! I was doing sort of a marathon and I noticed it
trapped under ice shoulda been heaviest in rtl, i love that one
Don’t Tread on Me and Eye of the Beholder are top 20 Metallica songs for me.
О да! Как же долго я таких видео ждал! Спасибо!
I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw 3:37 lol
Why are the riffs sligtly tuned down? Makes it sound like Pantera
all within my hands weak 😿😿😿
The Judas Kiss main riffs bangs
I love Orion, but Master of Puppets main riff is the strongest riff on that album. I know it’s cliche but come on now let’s be honest.
agree. he is bias. cliff and the bass and that shit. and i would say on black album holier than thou is the weakest, don't tread on me is soooo good
Phantom Lord’s and Don’t Tread On Me’s ones are really strong ones, I would chosen No Remorse and Through The Never or The God That Failed
YEEEEAHHHHH PRINCE CHARMING SWEEP BABYYYYY
phantom lord is one of the best riffs on kill em all
Totally agree with shadows follow election. It sounds amazingly evil, it is one of my fav metallica riffs ever
Crown of barbed wires is one of my favorite from 72s 😂😂
Seeing don’t tread on me as the weakest makes me sad
Idk i think 72 seasons i like shadows follow as the good main riff but room of mirrors is a tough one to crack because i find the intro and main riff sort of boring but it also makes up for that for having such great other parts such as solos and the best fuckin harmony section! Its like spit out the bone at its best but idk its like a really nice present except its wrapped in a really ugly paper.
Man... so we have very different tastes 😂
HOW THE HELL IS EYE OF THE BEHOLDER'S RIFF WEAK- it is literally the most heavy riff of the album and i refuse to believe otherwise-
The black album part really hurts my feelings 😂
Not phantom lord!!! That's my favourite riff in Killemall. Makes me want to thrash around, simple, but difficult and powerful
Screaming Suicide is the only redeming song on 72 seasons
Bro it's like the worst one. I'd say Room of Mirrors is the real sleeper pick there
Screaming Suicide is far and away the worst song on the record
Agreed
I'd say inamorata and 72 seasons are the best on the record but screaming s word is great too
leper, eye of and judas kiss are fire! daf you talking about!?
In my opinion, the best main riff from st.anger is definitely sweet amber
Nooooo!!! How dare you! 😂
Barbed Wire riff is actually the best on the album. I would generally swap the two that you mentioned.
Kirk wrote Beholder’s riff no ?
dude Phantom lord is the goat
Vid like the old ones
кожен ріф із HTSD кращий кожного ріфа із жовтого альбому, це прям сумно трошки
how is that eye of the beholder's main riff, it's literally only played once for the intro
Disagree on the main riff of Don't Tread On Me being the best in the song. The one that's used as a transition into the chorus is way cooler, if fleeting,
Has Jaymz been on the road too long?...
Unpopular opinion: The damage inc bridge riff by Kirk is the strongest mop riff
@beinmetal if Prince charming different lyrics like if it was about peter pan something of that nature off of some storybook with it's riffs it work better
you must be trolling with those names XD or sleepless night?
Confusion main riff? It's actually pretty catchy. I expect Now That We're Dead as the weakest.
I don't understand the parameters xd
I think 'Jump in the Fire' main riff is better than 'Seek and Destroy' intro riff
(6+6)×6=72
King Nothing in my opinion shouldn’t be strongest on load, I think for sure it should be the out law torn
Upon seeing Eye of the Beholder as the weakest riff on AJFA I was a bit upset because it’s one of my all time favorite songs, but after registering to the album, it makes sense, there’s not enough meat to it. But Leper Messiah did upset me, because it has such a groove to it, IMO Disposable Heroes has the weakest main riff, almost mindless speed, being buried under single notes for part of it. Great song, just the main riff isn’t the best riff, bridge of it is way stronger
I don’t agree for the confusion riff. It hit really hard on me
Just my opinion but I think Chasing Light deserves the spotlight over Shadows Follow
HOW TF DONT TREAD ON ME WEAKEST???
Seeing crown of barbed wire was a bit of a downer ngl
The weakest riff on Kill em All has got to be the verse riff. Best one : The Four Horsemen even though it’s not a Hetfield riff. Seek is good, but is it that good?
bro this is not main riff in the judas kiss
Blackened might very well have be Metallica's best riff of all time.
\m/
Phantom Lord weakest?! 🤯
For me
72S - strongest: Chasing Light weakest: You Must Burn!
HTSD: strongest: Spit Out The Bone weakest: Confusion
DM: strongest: That Was Just Your Life weakest: Judas Kiss
St. Anger: strongest: Some Kind of Monster weakest: Dirty Window
Reload: strongest: Fuel weakest: Slither
Load: strongest: Ain’t My Bitch weakest: 2x4
TBA: strongest: Sad But True weakest: The Struggle Within
AJFA: strongest: Blackened weakest: Frayed Ends of Sanity
MOP: strongest: Battery weakest: Leper Messiah
RTL: strongest: For Whom The Bell Tolls weakest: Escape
KEA: strongest: Seek and Destroy weakest: Phantom Lord
but what is the main riff in fryed ends of sanity? 😂
@@4md17 the one after the oh we oh
@@prometheustv6558 i know what you mean, im just joking because so many riffs in that song... and that aint the weakest riff on album imo. i would say shortest straw or harvester of sorrow.
@@4md17 Nah I love both those riffs. Frayed End’s main riff is just boring it’s just muted E to Bb power chord. Not very interesting.
@@prometheustv6558 it is hard for me to choose bad riff on that album because its my favorite. and i can judge only as a fan because i dont play guitar or have any musical knowledge.
Please bring the 15 levels series back!!!
But the geyEST is the James
I couldn't disagree more lol
Let me simplify if for you. Everything before the Black Album is great. The Black Album and everything that came after it sucks.
unforguiven instead of through the never?
More I hear this opinion, more I believe I am in the strong minority. Shadows Follow main riff is probably one of my least favourites of all album.
Blackned 😂🤘
:3
i really like confusion though, pretty weird to it as weakest.
edite: also the unforgiven 2 (also the first and third) are the worst metallica songs every imo.
xdd
I can't watch it I just don't agree
Phantom lords main riff is in no way the weakest. Metal malitias is way worse. PL’s is one of the best on the record. Bad take
Хорош-хорош, а то погрустил, когда удалил
